    Shrimp Paste Dumpling

Dumpling World offers no-frills dining with just the essentials to enjoy a good dumpling meal. While the staff may not be overly attentive after placing your order due to the daily rush, they generally maintain a friendly and helpful demeanor. If you peek through the small window behind the counter, you'll see the kitchen staff skillfully crafting the dumplings, which I love because I know they're housemade. I appreciate their dedication to offering vegan and pescatarian options. My personal favorites are the steamed Zucchini, Shrimp, & Egg dumplings and the Vegan Sesame Sauce Noodle dish. If you love shrimp, I recommend trying the Shrimp Paste Dumpling. Just know that it's entirely made of shrimp and nothing else in the filling. The service is generally swift, the prices are reasonable, and parking is convenient. I'll definitely return to this place whenever I'm in the area and craving dumplings.

Best dumplings west of the beltway. Do get the soup dumplings, do get the pan fried thumb buns, and absolutely get the pan fried soup buns. Service is above average, food is memorable and/or fantasy inducing, bring a jacket ... it can be cold inside.

Dumplings make the world go round. A friend told me about this place and I did not realize I was passing it by every time I went to Sugarland on Sunday with my dad. Went in for a solo lunch and ordered way too much. The interior is very clean and organized with booths on the edge and tables in the middle. There was a steady in and out of customers and lots of pick up orders. Ordered: braised pork pot stickers, Szechuan Tan Tan noodles, shrimp and pork spicy wontons, pork xiao long bao, and to go - pork and scallion pot stickers, shrimp chow mein. No regrets. Braised pork pot stickers (3.5/5) - juicy and nice, didn't feel like it should be in dumpling format to me Szechuan Tan Tan noodles after mix (3.5/5) - flavorful, good portion of noodles and meat and spice, not the usual taste of Tan Tan noodles but still good Shrimp and pork spicy wontons (4/5) - delicious, filling was colorful and full, chewy, bouncy Pork xiao long bao (4/5) - more soup than most XLB, it was nice, warm, juicy - think I should have gotten the pork and shrimp (will try those next) Pork and scallion pot stickers (4.5/5) - very flavorful, fried perfectly, delicious (I ordered these late in the meal so ended up taking them to go - gave 2 to friend so order is 6) Shrimp chow mein (3.8/5) - nice big shrimps, good amount of shrimps (under noodles) - next time trying the fried rice, noticed a lot of people ordering for dine in I gave all of the leftovers from the dine in to the friend that suggested along with 2 potstickers from the to go orders. Def will return. Food was delicious and staff is very friendly.

Dumpling World has been a family favorite since they opened! We love their xiao long bao, green beans, and their pai gu has the potential to be really good! Last time I had their pai gu it was very average, but this time it was sooo good, I was stunned. It was sweet and super tender. The XLB is super solid, though I feel like they changed the skin recently, and I prefer the previous dumpling skin. What I love about this place is its accessibility - all the staff can speak chinese (it's usually their default even) and so lots of chinese people feel comfortable here. They're able to talk in chinese the entire time and it gives the place an authentic feel; however, the staff can also speak english, so non-chinese speakers don't feel completely lost. I think it's what contributes to Dumpling World's success - they're able to cater to multiple people and language isn't a limiting factor. Service is friendly! Plenty of parking in the area.

Soda was added to the bottom so I didn't see when paying. It was not visible until I paid and asked for a receipt.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and glad I finally did. Service and food were mediocre. I also got charged for a soda that I did not order.. The braised beef noodle soup was lukewarm. It was semi chilly in Houston, so a hot bowl would have been ideal. The skin on the dumplings were thick and dried/hard to chew. The minced pork eggplant noodles were delicious though. They added a soda at the bottom of our bill and that is so shady to make more money. Edit: They fixed their mistake! Thank for doing that, I appreciate it.

Dumpling World has been on my radar for awhile. There's one east and west of me about the same distance. I was in the Sugar Land area and made it a point to check it out. This location is located in an older strip center with plenty of parking. The restaurant is pretty small inside and the tables are super close to each other. When I arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, the place was pretty packed. I came here to take food to a friend's house nearby and was going to order when I got to the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful and had no problem with us sitting at a table while we waited for our food. The one thing I was looking forward to some soup dumplings because of the cold weather but you can only get these dining in. It was a major let down but understandable as they want to serve that product at it's best. It essentially falls apart if you wait to long to eat it. I ended up ordering a little variety of dumplings to really get a feel of the place. Off the appetizer menu, I ordered a couple of orders of fried chicken wings. It only comes in an order of 4 which I thought was a bit small for the price. That being said, the wings were really good. It would have been nice with some sort of sauce but ate well without it. For dumplings we tried a few different categories. Under the boiled dumpling category, I ordered the shrimp, pork and chive dumpling. The filling was really nice and was full of flavor. I typically like pan fried dumplings more, but their dough is has a nice bite to it without being too chewy or soggy. Under the pan fried category, I ordered the pan fried thumb bun with pork and scallion. These were better than the boiled and very flavorful. My favorite dish was of the pot sticker variety. I got the beef and onion pot stickers. These were so good. The beef seemed to be braised beef and was packed with flavor. With all their dumplings, they did not skimp on the fillings either. This was a very solid place and closer than heading to Chinatown. I will definitely be returning here to get my dumpling fix.

One of our favorite spots for great soup dumplings on a cold day. Came right before week day rush hour around noon. We got sat immediately, but shortly afterwards there was a long line of people waiting at the door. Smaller restaurant so not good for large parties. But they do take out orders as well. Simple inner decor but efficient. The water pitcher is delivered to the table and has sliced lemons inside which is a great touch. We got 4 dishes that we have tried before and knew we liked. Pork xao long bao 4.5/5 the soup inside could be a bit hotter in temperature. And the soup ladles could be a little bigger to slurp the soup but the flavor and size were great. Pork and scallion dumpling in spicy sour sauce 5/5 amazing flavor with the right amount of spice. The sauce would go great over a bed of rice. The dumplings are a great size. Stir fried string green beans with minced pork 4.5/5 scant amount of minced pork compared to the same dish at other restaurants. Not too heavy on the garlic and no ginger. But plenty of green beans and tastes great. Szechuan tan tan noodles 5/5 so much noodles! We have before and after mixing pictures. Appropriate amount of sauce for thorough mixing and bold peanut flavor. We love coming here for lunch and will certainly be back to try other dishes!!

Move aside din tai fund. Dumpling world is the next best. Super thick and flavorful dumplings good service and good prices. The biggest downside is the extremely small dining area. So if you have a big party get there early or try to make a reservation. The curry dumplings are my favorite following but the soup and the pan fried bottoms. The eggplant pork noodles are super flavorful but beware. Heft noodles and you will get full! Do try their green beans!

We got the soup dumplings, chive pork and shrimp steam dumpling, chili oil noodles, and wood ear salad. Everything was a 10/10. Impeccable quality and service. We ate the dumplings too quick for a picture but trust that it was all clear!

Dumpling World takes reservations if you have more than 6 people dining with you. Friendly service and great food in a kid-friendly, casual environment-- can't ask for much more. I really enjoyed the eggplant pork dry noodle dish, which was absolutely scrumptious. The XLB are generously sized here and full of flavor. The pan-fried dumplings were also a huge hit. I thought the spicy wontons were too salty but everything else was yummy. Will definitely be back!

We took my in laws here for their first time, our second time. The food was great and it looked like they added some more dishes. The passion fruit cucumbers were super interesting and delish. We ordered the green beans and small pan fried dumplings twice. We were seated very quickly and our waiter was nice. It was a full house and there was only two wait staff so they were quite busy. Second order of dumplings/green beans took a bit but that was when the restaurant started having a line outside. The place was clean but would have liked more napkins. Parking was free and our front

On the table was a holder with chopsticks, soup spoons and napkins. It was a chilly, blustery day - I so enjoyed the Henan-style lamb with noodles soup! Three kinds of noodles: wide, hand-pulled with a nice chew; thin, textured tofu; crystal. Happy with the two quail eggs. There was a nice amount of wood ear fungus, kelp? and fresh cilantro. The lamb was tender and the broth flavorful. I saved half of the soup for dinner and chowed down on the pork bun. It was hot and toasty from the bun being grilled. Had to eat it right away as the bun was crispy crunchy and the sauce inside will eventually make the bottom mushy. "Yum!"

I have passed by their restaurant many times, but it never occurred to me to go in until one day I was surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 ramen places nationally on Yelp! With less than 300 reviews, I was skeptical at first but was intrigued to give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I visited on a Friday afternoon right before New Year's and was greeted warmly by the staff inside. As I was indecisive on what to order in the ramen section, I asked the staff for suggestions. She was kind to walk me through the menu without rushing to get an order, and she mentioned that their most popular item is actually the beef noodles. That was all I needed to make a decision to try the beef noodles. While waiting for the food, I chatted with the staff and learned that the restaurant opened right before the pandemic then shifted their model to take-out only as the pandemic begin. Since then, they've tried to make use of their restaurant space to return to dine-in but it has been difficult to find reliable workers. In the interest of keeping the quality consistent and customers happy, they've decided to make sacrifices to keep the business model as is for take-out only instead of scaling up with additional staff, which is such a shame given the rent in the area is not cheap and they have such a beautiful space! When you hear "take-out only", I know what you're thinking, BUT I promise you this is the best takeout food you will ever have! The packaging is very well-designed to keep the flavors and ingredients at its finest! As I mentioned, I ordered the beef noodles, and typically noodle dishes are not ideal for takeout, but Asia Blue separates the soup from the noodles so that the noodles are not soggy, and even after half hour, the soup stayed warm and flavorful. The noodles also came paired with many mini side dishes as palate cleansers, which were a nice surprise. From my conversation with the staff, I've also learned that this is one of the rare places that truly make their broth fresh from premium ingredients! You can be sure that it's MSG free and packed with healthy nutrients, and that's a quality that you can taste. I highly recommend this place for your next ramen adventure, and I certainly will be returning again very soon to try the other menu items. :)

Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. (4 out of 5) The Salt & Pepper Chicken was good (4.5 out of 5). I couldn't help eating it while in the car, as it smelled so good. The Braised Pork over rice was decent. It was cut up thick pork belly, braised in an Asian brown sauce. The flavoring was a little one sided. (3 out of 5). I'm giving this place an overall 3 stars because the food isn't something to rave about. Packaging and presentation were great, but tastes was more important to me.

The sweet and sour cucumber was also really good, though I would recommend getting the sauce on the side. The servers were very attentive and kind. Overall, a great place to check out if you're a dumpling lover. I'll definitely be back to try more items!

Pho Ben is one of my favorite pho restaurants in the Houston area. It's located in Sugar Land…read morerather than Little Saigon, inside a large strip center with plenty of parking, which makes it very convenient. The restaurant itself is spacious, with lots of tables, including high-top seating and benches along the walls. There are easily a few dozen tables, so it can accommodate a big crowd. Even though it gets busy--especially around lunchtime on weekends--I rarely see a long wait because of how large the dining area is. Pho Ben offers excellent value. A small bowl of pho is $11 and a large is $12, with at least 15-20 different combinations of meats to choose from, including rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. One nice touch is that if you order rare steak, you can request it on the side, so it arrives on a separate plate and you can add it to your hot broth yourself and cook it exactly how you like. Each bowl also comes with the usual fresh garnishes like bean sprouts, mint, basil, and jalapeño. Service is always friendly and attentive, with multiple servers checking on tables. The pho usually comes out in about 10 minutes, piping hot, and the broth is consistently flavorful. This is one of my go-to pho spots in the Houston area, and I highly recommend it if you're in or around Sugar Land.

I had to use the restroom, and I think this is the part that I dislike about Jinya. They only have two restaurants, one from men one from women. But that's not the real issue. The real issue is anytime you walk into Jinya, there's someone always in the restaurant and that someone is usually an employee. It's time to pleasure problem with this is that both restrooms were occupied by male employees. And when I went into the women's restroom, because they sat in there so long you could smell, they've been vqping. Can you build more restrooms instead of two. My gyoza came out and it was amazing. Hi ramen came out - don't look different. and tasted differently also from the last time I remember. Begin this is the first time at this location. No, it tastes good, but didn't taste as good as previously from other Jinya restaurants. It just did not remind me of Japan as the others, immediately did.
