Located inside Seafood City grocery store.
    Thomas S.

This Filipino eatery is located in the food court of Seafood City grocery store. Menu is limited to noodle soups, rice bowls, and some appetizers such as pork buns, chicken feet, and veggie tempura. I ordered the Beef Bone Bliss noodle soup. The noodle soup was delivered on a working portable burner. The soup stayed hot during my meal. The soup had egg noodle, beef shanks, beef bone marrow, corn on the cob, cabbage, and garlic. The broth was flavorful with no MSG that I could detect. The beef shack was marinated and tender. The bone marrow was fatty and good. The only complaint was not enough egg noodle. Counter service was quick and friendly. The cost was reasonable. I wouldn't mind returning to try other noodle soup.

I can't believe the "mami noodles" can be as authentic as they have it. It was called Braised beef but so happy we got to try this amazing serving of beef mami! They ran out of the bone marrow but highly recommended. Would suggest to get a table near the booth so it's safe to carry the pot with fire to keep it warm! Polite servers, lots of different soup choice!

On the table was a holder with chopsticks, soup spoons and napkins. It was a chilly, blustery day - I so enjoyed the Henan-style lamb with noodles soup! Three kinds of noodles: wide, hand-pulled with a nice chew; thin, textured tofu; crystal. Happy with the two quail eggs. There was a nice amount of wood ear fungus, kelp? and fresh cilantro. The lamb was tender and the broth flavorful. I saved half of the soup for dinner and chowed down on the pork bun. It was hot and toasty from the bun being grilled. Had to eat it right away as the bun was crispy crunchy and the sauce inside will eventually make the bottom mushy. "Yum!"

They have only about 5 tables inside and 1 outside. I wanted to keep it simple and got the shanxi oil noodle. It's been awhile since I've had chili oil hand pulled noodles. The wait was about 10-15 minutes for the food. It came out hot and the aroma of garlic hits you hard. They have chili oil and vinegar available at the table if you want to add some to your food. I thought it was solid and it is actually enough for 2 meals to be honest. Noodles were chewy and soak up all the chili oil and garlic flavor. It's a bit oily, there's a puddle at the end but I'd say it's pretty solid. I would say that northern pasta edges this one out just a bit for best chili oil noodles in Houston tho

The broth was very flavorful with a nice and fragrant amount of spice. The thumb buns were among my favorite of the dumplings too, crispy, slightly chewy texture with a tasty and balanced filling. I would prefer if the portions were a bit bigger and if they were more generous with the beef toppings. As other reviewers mentioned, the service also has room for improvement. The quality of the dumplings was enough for me to look past the flaws though.

Even on weekdays, this place is consistently busy. The staff are always very friendly, the food tastes fresh and made to order, and I have never had an unpleasant dining experience here. Whenever I come here, I usually order the Cheese Crab Puffs. While this is a fairly standard appetizer at many restaurants, I genuinely think Dumpling World does them better than most places I have tried. The wrapper is lighter and airier while still staying crispy, and the filling leans slightly sweet, which I personally really enjoy. Of course, I also have to order the Pork Xiao Long Bao. The wrappers are impressively thin, and each dumpling is packed with soup. Another must order is the Pan Fried Pork and Scallion Thumb Buns. They are addictively crispy on the outside and filled with juicy, flavorful pork. On this visit, I also tried the Eggplant and Minced Pork Noodles for the first time, and I would definitely order them again. The pork and eggplant were very flavorful, and the hand pulled noodles were thin and satisfying, though slightly overcooked. The sauce was also a bit oily, but that is fairly common with dishes like this, so it did not bother me much. It is just something to keep in mind. Overall, Dumpling World continues to be one of my favorite casual Chinese spots. Between the consistently fresh food, friendly service, and standout dumplings, this is a place I would gladly keep coming back to.

I have passed by their restaurant many times, but it never occurred to me to go in until one day I was surprised to see them ranked in the top 100 ramen places nationally on Yelp! With less than 300 reviews, I was skeptical at first but was intrigued to give it a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I visited on a Friday afternoon right before New Year's and was greeted warmly by the staff inside. As I was indecisive on what to order in the ramen section, I asked the staff for suggestions. She was kind to walk me through the menu without rushing to get an order, and she mentioned that their most popular item is actually the beef noodles. That was all I needed to make a decision to try the beef noodles. While waiting for the food, I chatted with the staff and learned that the restaurant opened right before the pandemic then shifted their model to take-out only as the pandemic begin. Since then, they've tried to make use of their restaurant space to return to dine-in but it has been difficult to find reliable workers. In the interest of keeping the quality consistent and customers happy, they've decided to make sacrifices to keep the business model as is for take-out only instead of scaling up with additional staff, which is such a shame given the rent in the area is not cheap and they have such a beautiful space! When you hear "take-out only", I know what you're thinking, BUT I promise you this is the best takeout food you will ever have! The packaging is very well-designed to keep the flavors and ingredients at its finest! As I mentioned, I ordered the beef noodles, and typically noodle dishes are not ideal for takeout, but Asia Blue separates the soup from the noodles so that the noodles are not soggy, and even after half hour, the soup stayed warm and flavorful. The noodles also came paired with many mini side dishes as palate cleansers, which were a nice surprise. From my conversation with the staff, I've also learned that this is one of the rare places that truly make their broth fresh from premium ingredients! You can be sure that it's MSG free and packed with healthy nutrients, and that's a quality that you can taste. I highly recommend this place for your next ramen adventure, and I certainly will be returning again very soon to try the other menu items. :)

When you pickup your food, the sit down area is dark, and there isn't much of a waiting area. It looks to be run by two folks, the cook and the cashier. It is probably best to order over the app, as the one cashier is busy packing the food in the fancy packaging and dealing with the money transactions. Since it is only two people, it can be slow to get your food when it is busy. I waited an additional 20 mins from the projected time it was suppose to be done. As for the food, the miso ramen was packed in this fancy box. The box contained the soup separated from the noodles with a few side dishes. I believe this is the only vegi ramen they offer. It is nothing special. The broth is basically miso soup with soy sauce. (2 out of 5) The cold sesame noodles was better. It had more flavor. (4 out of 5) The Salt & Pepper Chicken was good (4.5 out of 5). I couldn't help eating it while in the car, as it smelled so good. The Braised Pork over rice was decent. It was cut up thick pork belly, braised in an Asian brown sauce. The flavoring was a little one sided. (3 out of 5). I'm giving this place an overall 3 stars because the food isn't something to rave about. Packaging and presentation were great, but tastes was more important to me.

The restaurant itself is spacious, with lots of tables, including high-top seating and benches along the walls. There are easily a few dozen tables, so it can accommodate a big crowd. Even though it gets busy--especially around lunchtime on weekends--I rarely see a long wait because of how large the dining area is. Pho Ben offers excellent value. A small bowl of pho is $11 and a large is $12, with at least 15-20 different combinations of meats to choose from, including rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. One nice touch is that if you order rare steak, you can request it on the side, so it arrives on a separate plate and you can add it to your hot broth yourself and cook it exactly how you like. Each bowl also comes with the usual fresh garnishes like bean sprouts, mint, basil, and jalapeño. Service is always friendly and attentive, with multiple servers checking on tables. The pho usually comes out in about 10 minutes, piping hot, and the broth is consistently flavorful.
