Def a Din Tai Fung dupe, but no wait time & cheaper! I got the truffle & pork xlb & it was sooo juicy! And I also got the chili oil pork wontons, similar to DTF & still flavorful & spicy! There was no wait time when I went but that's because I went during lunch on a weekday so I'd assume they would get packed on weekends. I want to go back & try other dishes as well since there was only one of me & I could only order & eat so much...lol. I will try the chocolate & piggy custard buns next time too!
I don't want to discredit this place, but it was just an ordinary dumpling spot in the IE. It didn't blow my socks off. That said, if you're craving dumplings and want good ones, this place will definitely suffice. We tried the XLB and the black truffle XLB, which were a little underwhelming. The spicy wontons were very good though and probably our favorite thing we ordered. We also had the spinach pork and shrimp dumplings which were a little mid, but the pan-fried pork and shrimp dumplings were much better. The salted egg custard buns were actually a standout and I'd definitely order those again. The honey walnut shrimp was flavorful and the shrimp were large, but it sits on top of shrimp chips so it looks like a bigger portion than it actually is. Still tasty and worth getting, just something to know. We also had the fresh noodles and the cucumbers. The noodles were good and the cucumbers were refreshing, just slightly underseasoned. Overall, when the boo and I are craving dumplings, this place will still be in the rotation.
Dumpling kind of night and it did not disappoint. I went in just wanting something quick and left low-key obsessed. The dumplings were super fresh, you could tell they weren't sitting around. The wrappers were soft but still had that slight chew, and none of them were falling apart or overly thick. The filling was the best part though. Juicy, flavorful, and actually seasoned. You know how sometimes dumplings look good but taste bland? Not these. Every bite had flavor, and I didn't even feel like I needed to drown them in sauce. Even the pan-fried ones had that perfect crispy bottom without being greasy. I definitely ordered more than I needed... and still finished them. Why am I craving this spot now as I write?! *cry* It's officially my "when in doubt, get dumplings" spot now. Service was friendly and efficient. Bathrooms were super clean. Ambiance was quiet.
Friendly, efficient service. Clean, comfortable space. A good selection of dumplings and noodles. Overall good value. I recommend: -Beef Rolls -Smashed Cucumbers -House Special Dry Mix Noodles Classic Pork XLB and Golden Garlic Spareribs are good too, but can be even better to reach perfection. Walnut shrimps is a popular dish here. Nicely plated. Generous portion of 12 JUMBO sized shrimps. Served with fried crisps. However, the shrimps themselves have no shrimp taste; I am not a big fan of frozen seafood with no taste. Note: Wagyu dumplings are only available on weekends.
12/20/2025 First time at Dumpling Artisan! WONTONS IN CHILI OIL (SPICY WONTON) This was recommended by my server. I can't quite explain it, but the spicy sauce had quite an earthy flavor, this umami flavor I could not quite put down. Definitely there is Sichuan peppercorn flakes in it, but maybe it was toasted, so there was that added earthy flavor. Spice level is medium. Cilantro added on top as garnish. I prefer scallions over cilantro for spicy wontons, but still it was good. Served hot and dumplings were juicy. It is definitely different than Din Tai Fung's spicy wonton, where that had a vinegar with spicy flavor and there isn't Sichuan peppercorn flakes in that one. BEEF ROLL Pretty good, but the pancake could be crispier. They've added too much hoisin sauce inside the roll, so it was a bit salty overall. There was a good amount of beef and cilantro and it was a good size where you can pick up and eat. If only the pancakes were crispier! WAGYU BEEF ONION XIAO LONG BAO Only available on the weekends. The server convinced me to try this over the other xiao long baos, since this was only available on the weekends and it's also a popular item. At first bite, it has a strong meat flavor. A little bit of caramelized onion flavor at the end. It was pretty good. However, I still favor pork XLB. I haven't tried one at this location, but assuming most XLB's tastes similar, I prefer the pork XLB. The wonton wrap was slightly thicker than other places I've tried. But only by a little. The XLB was a good size too, not too small. CUSTOMER SERVICE Very attentive service! Two servers were checking in on me back-to-back making sure I was well taken care of! I asked questions on the menu and both were very kind and gave me the best service I've had in a long while! This was also on a Saturday right after opening time and I was the third guest there, so it wasn't too busy either. But appreciate the great service! PARKING Plenty of parking space around the area. I think the better spots aren't directly in front of the restaurant, as the parking spaces are narrow and are at an angle. But because it is a business center focused area, lots of parking spaces were available. I would definitely return to try other popular menu items!
We wanted dumpling and our place was closed so it forced us to look around. I'm so glad we did because we found Dimpling Artisan and overall it did not disappoint. This place is a little small inside with limited seating. If you have a party of 6 or more definitely call ahead to make sure there's seating available. The decor is definitely Asian inspired and I love that you can watch them prepare your food through the glass. We went inside to place a to go order. They gave us a menu immediately and were available to answer our questions. We spent a little over $73 and ordered Mongolian Beef, 2 orders of Pork Wontons in Chili Oil, Salt & Pepper Crispy Chicken, Pork & Cabbage Pan Fried Dumplings, and an order of Xiao Long Bao. The Mongolian beef didn't taste like Mongolian Beef but it was full of flavor. It had a sweet but savory taste and the meat was super tender. Unfortunately it did not come with rice and I didn't know. It's ok, because I don't each much of it. The pan fried dumplings had a nice crispy exterior but soft inside. The meat veggie mixture was full of flavor. The Xiao Kong Bao had a nice subtle broth inside and it was quite refreshing. I honestly didn't care for the pork wontons in chili oil. They did not lack flavor but there was a spice on it similar to tajin that clashed a bit in flavor with the chili oil. Also, I couldn't really taste the meat and just tasted chewy dumpling dough. The salt and pepper crispy chicken was full of flavor. The only downfall was the ride home made it not so crispy but that's not a flaw in the food. A suggestion would be to cut holes in the packaging so it doesn't steam itself as much from the heat. Overall, great food and great service. I will definitely go back.
Loved it here! Food was delicious and so happy we decided to give it a try. I've been to a lot of dumpling places and wanted to try something new. Checked on Yelp and came across Dumpling Artisan. Saw some comments saying it was similar to Din Thai. I felt that this place was better. The smashes cucumber was massive and so delicious. Perfect amount of sauce and flavor. Also got the crab Rangoons which were perfect and loved the sauce. Had the classic pork xiao, wonton in chili sauce and the chicken steamed dumpling. Everything tasted so good and fresh. I enjoyed every part of this meal. The staff was so friendly and our order came out quickly. We also got one or their teas, mango passion fruit green tea and it was soooo good! Also love that it's right next to Haven City so you can stroll over there after for dessert.
A bit too americanized for my taste but glad to see that RC is opening up more chinese restaurants. This gives me a variety for lunch with my coworkers. The mapo tofu can be spicier. Mongolian beef is too sweet and lacks flavor, tastes more like Scallion Beef than Mongolian Beef. The XLB's skin is too thick.

Dumplings and noodle dishes appear to be their forte, as you can easily surmise by their name. But we are not dumpling sort of people. So, you might be asking, why did we come here? I think I had Dumpling Artisan bookmarked because of their meaty beef bone soup. We have always had a passion for a clear broth version found in Korean restaurants, but funny thing, we did not end up ordering that for our first visit. Please note, I said "first visit". As I said, the majority of the menu was of noodle dishes, noodle soups, and soup-filled dumplings, fare that I choose to eat with discretion for dietary reasons (heavy with carbs). The variations looked quite interesting, but I'll leave it up to other reviewers to critique them. Instead, we were seduced by the dishes that are more typical stir fry entrees and dim sum. These choices are more limited, but should not take second place to anything else on their menu. Our meal came out very quickly. Listed under "Desserts", we ordered the char siu bao (3 per order). Hardly a dessert IMHO, the steamed treat turned out to be a deliciously savory filling encased in an extraordinarily tender dough. The spice blend in the sauce for the filling was remarkable, with its own character. Not your ordinary bao! Then came the beef roll, thinly sliced beef with plum sauce and lots of fresh cilantro, all wrapped up in a beautifully crisp, super thin pancake. Superb. I ordered it, all the while knowing that Mr B thought he did not like this dish. And was he surprised after his first bite! I felt vindicated. Next came the Broccoli Shrimp. They were very generous with big, plump, perfectly cooked shrimp (10) with nice big bites of carefully cooked broccoli. The sauce was delicately seasoned, clear, thickened, and with an uncommon taste profile that won my heart. Lastly came the Kung Pao Chicken. Loads of fresh, thinly sliced chicken and lightly sauteed vegetables (carrots, cucumber), finished with lots of plump peanuts and a dark, rich, sauce. Again, a winner of a sauce. I had forgotten to mention to our server my usual fear of the red pepper pods commonly used in this dish. So when it arrived, I had reservations because there were a lot. But as many as they did use, it turned out to have no effect on me whatsoever, spicy but not angry hot . This dish was one of the best Kung Pao's I have ever tasted. I highly recommend this. I am quite impressed over their unique cooking sauces. They all stood out as exceptional, not your common variety found in so many Chinese restaurants these days. Service was excellent. The dining area was immaculate, the bathroom very clean, the overall vibe very friendly. The open kitchen design was eye catching and impressive. The lovely lady chefs performing their culinary craft behind the glass were a joy to see and their knowledge of their cuisine won our hearts. Don't ask how elated I am to bring home leftovers, of which there were many. I would guess another 1.5-2 meals for the two of us. Need I say, we shall return. I would be a serial customer if we only lived closer.
The food was very delicious, paid a total of $45ish for three items. Everything is served in shareable portion and priced fairly. The service was good, the place is kind of small so the staff is within sight anywhere you sit. They also constantly check up on your table which is really good. The dumplings were very rich and the soup was flavorful. The fried rice was good, taste like your typical fried rice no complaints on that. It comes with shrimp, chicken, and beef for getting the signature instead of the individual.
After a short stint driving around a Rancho Cucamonga neighborhood to ooh and ahhhh at some Christmas Holiday Lights, we decided to get some grub. My hubby mentioned "Italian food" which he prefaced with "I know this might make you gag..." He knows me all too well. I'm not much a fan of heavy pastas or breads or creamy sauces, especially not for dinner. I proceeded to search Yelp for Asian cuisine...yet again. If you had to ask me, or my 7-year old son, or my 4-year old daughter where we would like to eat -- the unanimous answer would be "Vietnamese food" aka "pho" aka "white noodles". But over the past few months, after repeatedly frequenting Vietnamese restaurants, my hubby vetoed Vietnamese food and agreed instead to the amazing Asian flavors of Dumpling Artisan. We truly did not know we were about to enter Flavortown, USA. We were promptly seated in the middle of the restaurant. A very unassuming spot (minimalist + casual vibes), friendly waitstaff, with super quick service (this is a biggie when you have kids)! My hubby took care of our order. And we had the most amazing meal!!! - Smashed Cucumbers -- A huge app serving. Such a great dish to wake up the tastebuds. - Beef Onion Fried Dumplings -- Order this EVERY TIME. The beef is amazing. The fried dumpling dough is beyond flavorful with amazing texture. - Beef Rolls -- Sliced braised beef wrapped in some flaky pancake. Great texture. - Wontons in Chili Oil -- This dish hit it out of the park. That spicy chili paired with wontons is heaven. Brilliant. Our son couldn't stop eating it. - Chicken Udon -- Hubby thought this would be Japanese udon soup. Sike. But was super tasty nonetheless! We had to douse the noodles in a cup of water to dampen the flavor for our daughter. She's not a fan of anything seasoned or peppery. She said the chewy fat noodles were 'yummy'! - Tofu Vegetable Fried Dumplings -- Minced tofu with veggies. Seriously flavorful. If you're looking for amazing Asian flavors in the heart of Rancho Cucamonga, you've gotta get yourself some Dumpling Artisan. You won't be disappointed.
Soup dumplings are way better than most of the ones in SGV. They check off everything that makes the perfect xiao long bao: skin that doesn't rip, plenty of juicy, flavorful and hot. At most places, you'll have some of these and miss the others. The chili oil wontons are some of the best I've had. The skin and filling had the perfect texture and it wasn't too spicy. The salt and pepper chicken wasn't what I expected - it was more like a popcorn chicken. The chicken was very tender and crispy on the outside, but when it came to flavor it wasn't salty nor peppery. The fried rice was decent, and I liked the variety of ingredients they used. Staff was super attentive and friendly the entire time. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Rancho Cucamonga!

Where do I even begin with this place... This is not your average "dim sum" spot. The dumplings & their other entrees eclipses many of those in SoCal. Not just that but the staff was extremely accommodating - making sure we had everything we needed, checking to see if we needed additional condiments. The whole 9 yards! I'm not big on truffle but these truffle dumplings were--simply put-- amazing. It felt like my tastes were being suplexed into a different dimension. Crab rangoons did not disappoint as well. My only complaint was not having more in one serving. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. read more

I really enjoy coming here. The food and the service is exceptionally good. I always end up getting the wontons and soup dumplings. Today my family got chicken udon noodles, fried rice and beef broth noodles (can't remember the exact name) Everyone enjoyed their food. And the chicken udon noodles were so good they're now my cousin's favorite food lol She can't wait to come back. When you walk in you're greeted with smiles from all the staff. They always remember us. They are kind. The food comes out hot and fast. I wish I hadn't scarfed down my food before snapping a pic. But just know I'll be back and take pics next time. read more

Food was good but I wasn't floored. I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and the Wagyu beef Xiao Long Bao. I have to say the food was flavorful but there was something missing in the noodles. Perhaps a little more protein would have made a little difference. Then for the bao I just couldn't find the taste between a regular bao and the so called Wagyu beef. It was definitely soupy and flavorful but it was something that I wouldn't write home about. The price, I felt a little pricy for what I was served. For soup dumplings, I've had them from across the globe and I still rave about them and those were half the price of this. I'm sorry, I need to be wowed. I believe they miss the mark here. read more

They have the best Xiao long bao I've ever had. The dough was thicker, giving us a 100% success rate when plucking them from the basket. The soup was packed with flavor. They were not served with vinegar or ginger, so I used the table vinegar (some dark stuff) and it kicked them up real good. The dumplings have a handmade look to them, which was appreciated, with exception to the sesame balls which seemed like they came from a package (boring). One friend ordered the scallion oil noodles- very good. Service was no frills, strictly business. The restroom was nice, clean, and supplied with cushy TP, to my surprise. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday and were seated immediately. $90 plus tip for a party of 4 (drinking water). I wished they had more dim sum offerings but if you just want soupies and potsticker types, there is a good variety of those. read more

A must try when in Rancho! The place had grand opening banner. So we decided to try. The kitchen has transparent glass so we can see the chefs prepare the food. The price on the dumpling is surprisingly affordable. The presentation not containing 'WOW' plating however the taste is great. For Xiao Long Bao, we do not get the julienne cut ginger which I assume is the way they serve. Noodles texture was excellent and the taste is so delish! Service was on point. read more
The Baseline: For Asian dumplings, the food flavors need to be authentic, the portions have to be properly sized, and the restaurant must be comfortable and stylish. Food: The dumplings were incredible. Using other popular soup dumpling restaurants as a comparison, Dumpling Artisan gave me soup flavor I found new and refreshing. The meat portion was bigger in the dumpling and the soup wasn't as sweet as other chain restaurants (which means less sugar added). The scallion pancake was hot, crispy with a tender center just how I enjoy it. I wish I had this place closer to where I live so I can eat here more. Service: The staff is friendly and helpful. They were fast and efficient with orders. Cold water carafe left on the table for keeping my water full. Atmosphere: A casual sit-down restaurant with good seating and space between tables. There was a unkept fish tank. The kitchen is behind glass where you can see the food prepared, which I love. Bathroom was clean. The feel of the restaurant was nice. read more

Stopped in for lunch during the week. Glad I did. Really good Chinese food in Rancho Cucamonga. I had the dumplings in chili oil, the beef roll and the beef soup Everything was fresh and flavorful. The dumplings in chili oil were plump and the oil was numbing with Schezuan peppercorns The beef soup was authentic with tender beef chunks, veggies and noodles The beef roll was my favorite. Crispy, flaky flat bread stuffed with tender beef and cilantro. Delicious Super nice service in a clean and bright dining room. I'll be back. read more

Amazing. I have been to a few other dumpling spots popular spots and this is hands down my favorite so far. The food was amazing. Each dish was delicious. The service was good and the food was at our table quick. Everything was just delicious. The bill was also nicer than the other spots I've been too. Restaurant was chill and the music was low so created a nice convo space. Which is always a plus for us. read more
Came here to celebrate a birthday and we were a party of 9. They do not take reservations but you can join the waitlist on yelp but had to be within one mile from the restaurant. They were able to accommodate our party right away as we times it perfectly by beating the dinner rush hour. The restaurant is nice and clean. You can see through a big glass area of the restaurant on how the xio long baos and dumplings are freshly handmade. Our hostess was Adriana and she also took our order and due to our large party and celebrating a birthday, she through in something special for us as compliments on the house which was such a nice gesture. All our food items were very tasty and loved how the fried rice and string beans were not so oily in taste . Highly recommend all the items we ordered (see pictures). When we left the restaurant, it became packed and some were waiting for a table. We will definitely come back again. read more

This place is right next to Haven City Market. Overall this place is r is pretty good, just keep note that most of the dishes including the noodle dishes has some sort of egg. The only thing in the menu that doesn't, seems like the beef wrap. It was a pretty good experience, the staff was patient and helped to make sure the dishes that haven't certain allergens. One thing to note is the Xiao Long Bao is pretty good here and at a really good price. The beef wrap I mentioned earlier was really good as well. Overall this is a great noodle and dumpling place in Rancho. They even have free coffee offered to you towards the entrance. Will be back sometime for some more Xiao Long Bao! read more

Located in the same plaza as the Haven City Market next to RareTea. My mom likes xiao long bao so I was happy to see a new restaurant nearby after an appointment. We chose to get the Xiao long bao ($6.95), Beef roll ($12.95), Beef udon noodles ($11.95), Pan fried pork dumplings ($8.95), and Dry fried string beans ($12.95). My favorite was the string beans, the beef roll had a thick dough and kinda greasy. The pan fried dumplings were good, crispy and juicy inside. The udon noodles were good, not too overly seasoned and the meat was tender. The xiao long bao was ok, the dough was thicker and not as much juice inside as my usual restaurant. The staff was nice and the place was clean. read more
Everything was delicious! Black Truffle Soup Dumpling, dry noodles, tofu dumplings, smashed cucumbers. Only item that was average was the egg rolls. The sweet chili sauce that came with the egg rolls were delicious. Comes with black vinegar sauce, chili sauce, and chili oil. I will definitely return to get some of the same items and also to try some of the other items I didn't get to try this time, such as the beef roll. Only negative is that they need to package the food better. One of the dishes was sideways and most of the sauce had dripped out into the bag and soaked up all of the napkins inside. read more

I've been ordering here for a while and have always loved the Braised Beef Noodles. Unfortunately, what I received today was completely different from what I'm used to. Instead of the usual chunky braised beef pieces, it came with thinly sliced beef like the kind typically used in pho. It significantly changed the flavor and overall experience. At this point, I wouldn't even consider it Braised Beef Noodles anymore it felt more like a basic beef noodle soup. I'm disappointed in the quality and consistency. read more

Very nice little spot! This restaurant reminds me of Din Tai Fung as a mini version. The employees are so kind and always made sure our table was clean. The restaurant itself was clean , including restrooms. We ordered the Classic Pork Soup Dumplings (my favorite), Wontons in Chilli Oil (very yummy), Hot and Sour Soup (not as sour as I'd hope but adding vinegar helped), and Taro Balls for dessert (I liked how they weren't too overwhelming with sugar!). Will be coming again! Side note: on their menu and check they do state they automatically add a 15% service fee but also state tip is not required/expected. read more

I've gone to Dumpling Artisan numerous times, and my go to order is the udon noodles, house fried rice and sesame balls. I've also tried the cucumber side dish and taro balls, which are both delicious. I will say that while the flavor is definitely there for the udon noodles, the meat to udon ratio seems to be a bit disproportionate. I haven't tried any of their noodle soup's but now that the weather is starting to get cold, that is next on my list. If you're craving some delicious Chinese food, you should give this place a try and support a small business. read more

Amazing feast, I had the Smashed Cucumbers, Chicken Udon Noodles, Classic Pork Soup Dumplings(6), and the spicy Wontons in Chili Oil(8). If I could come and eat here every day I would. I can't think of any where else to get this amazing delicious food, I devoured everything. Can't wait to go back! Amazing service very fast and friendly and I love the fish tank they have here! My husband and I came here for lunch yesterday during their soft opening phase. Their grand opening is November 1, 2024. They are located next to Rare Tea (not inside Haven City Market). We arrived as soon as they opened at 11:00am and were told to sit at any table. We learned that they're a family owned and operated restaurant and from their logo have been around since 1990. They have an open kitchen and you can watch them prepare your food and make the dumplings from scratch. The interior is modern and clean. There is only indoor seating, no outdoor. The dishes that we ordered and recommend so far are: Classic Pork Soup Dumplings, Jade Shrimp Soup Dumplings, Black Truffle Soup Dumplings, House Special Fried Rice, Cold Watercress Salad, and the Braised Beef Noodles. All the dumplings we tried were so flavorful on their own, it didn't even need the vinegar. Their beef noodles are clean tasting and would be perfect when the weather cools down. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal and will be bringing my mom here very soon! read more

My niece saw this place on TT so we wanted to try it. Heads up, tip is already included. Says it on the menu. Our total was $110 with tip. Its small so prepare to wait. Our wait was 1 hr for a party of 3. Overall its a 6/10. Most likely wont be back. The shrimp udon noodles tasted like a supreme pizza. Even smelled like it too. Least liked item by my family. So glad that this brand new dumpling/noodle restaurant opened. The inside is bright and clean. The waitress/server was very friendly and helpful. Everything we ate was super fresh (you could taste that the carrots are freshly cut). The soup dumplings were so tasty and juicy. The pan fried had the perfect crispness. The steamed pork and cabbage were plump. The beef soup was so flavorful and hearty! The price is super reasonable for the quality you get! read more
Dined in during their soft opening and we were blown away with their made-to-order dumplings and noodles! We were greeted by the sweet hostess/server upon arrival and weee seated right away. The glass covered "exposed or open kitchen" caught our attention right away. The kids enjoyed the little aquarium by the entrance. Service was good and our food came out right away. The xiao long bao, fried rice, and spicy noodles were so flavorful! I finished a whole onion pancake by myself! It was so flaky and yummy! Yes, it is worth coming here. I saw the Yelp reviews and it was compared a lot to Seven Grams. We have been to Seven Grams several times and I think I enjoyed this place better. The location was easy park and get into and it was not as crowded inside of the restaurant. The soup dumplings were fresh and tasty, some of the best in the area (we have tried almost all soup dumpling places in the area). Overall the food was very good and affordable. This is our new go to place for dumplings. read more

What can I say about this Dumpling Response in Rancho Cucamonga in the same parking lot as Haven city food hall .. it's absolutely insanely Incredible!! I'd say , prepare to come early or not during peak times and be patient enough to wait a bit . I stopped by last night after 6pm and there was a huge line . I placed myself in they'd waitlist & it was a 45 min wait timeframe & I rally didn't mind waiting at based on their reviews . Finally got seated and placed an order for their salt and pepper chicken, Wagyu beef soup dumplings , beef roll and beef braised noodle soup . Everything was made fresh to order .. the beef was tender & broth was savory and noodles were the perfect texture , the salt & pepper chicken was crunchy & flavorful with right amount of spice & seasonings, beef roll was perfect and I loved the flakiness on the wrap and the dumplings were amazing!! I've been to a lot of local dumpling places that were local and over priced and bland and just basic !! No exaggeration this place is a must ! I was excited to see a dumpling place by rancho getting such good reviews so I decided to check it out with my girlfriend. The service was great but the food was pretty average for the most part. We got the pork xlb, pork and cabbage dumplings (both steamed and pan fried versions), and stir fried beef udon. Everything looked good but I was quickly thrown off by the flavors of the xlb and beef udon. The pork xlb skin was fragile and a lot of the dumpling skins broke just from lifting it off the steamer paper. There a lot of soup in each one but the broth tasted sweeter than it should have been. It's as if savoriness and sweetness were battling it out in the broth. The beef udon was also pretty sweet and felt as if it was salted a decent amount but it had more of a sweet flavor despite that. The pork and cabbage dumplings were average overall but they weren't bad. I honestly wanted to like this place but I think I'll stick to the heart of the SGV for eating dumplings. read more
