We just visited Duluth Diner for the first time this past weekend. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Our waiter was very prompt and friendly. The only bad thing I had to say is that the booths were very far from the table and a little to low. So I had to kind of hang off the edge of my seat to eat my omelet. We'll definately go back. Just might ask for a booster chair next time. read more

This diner has fantastic food with a Mediterranean influence. The menu is extensive, every thing from Gyros to Pancakes. I usually go for lunch as it is on our lunch circut. Have yet to have a bad meal or experience. The wait staff is pleasent and attentive. read more

I was in Duluth with my boss looking for lunch. He said "I'm not really in the mood for Mexican" and he wasn't that excited for Asian food. So I was stumped and then it came to me , Duluth Diner! He was excited. Although not in a traditional diner type building, it looks like an old fast food place, it was perfect. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, kept our glasses full and answered all of our questions. The menu was full of what I expect from a diner, omelets , burgers, sandwiches, steaks and more. He ordered a cup of broccoli soup, an omelet with home fries. I got a club sandwich on wheat. Everything came out fast and hot. The food was good, not anything new, but that isn't what I go to a diner for. I'm sure I'll be back, I just love diner food. read more

I've only tried this place for brunch, so I usually just get breakfast food. The food was average, kinda like a home cooked breakfast, nothing special. There's plenty of other brunch place on pleasant hill worth trying. However, the price was reasonable and they have good customer service. read more

We arrived for breakfast and I was happy that the food was fresh and tasted authentic to me, including the orange juice. It was a nice change from eating at waffle house or I-Hop. Like other reviewers, I expected more when I visited the diner. The only good things about this place was the large selection and price. But quality is sacrificed with the cheap prices. When my omelet came to my table after only 10 minutes after ordering I started to suspect that something may be off. 45 minutes later, curled up in a ball suffering through stomach cramps, I realized that the eggs were undercooked as I first thought. Service was also lacking. Our waitress didn't return to refill our drinks until after we were finished with our meals. Otherwise, she seemed nice when she did come by our table. While I considered myself an avid user of Yelp, I hardly ever write reviews myself. However, I was so disgusted after visiting Duluth Diner that I want to share my experience in order to deter others from going. Needless to say, this will be my last visit here. read more

We won't be going back ! Our food wasn't hot. My pancakes were tough & chewy. I normally would send the food back but my husband was beyond done. My two small children said the food was just ok. They asked if we could go to Waffle House or IHop next time. For the price compared to the food & service I agree we would've made out better if we did go to IHop or Waffle House. Food is always good and there's a wide variety on the menu including breakfast , lunch, dinner, and tons of desserts that will tempt you in the case when you first wall in. Great Diner food. Real food. The only troubling thing while scanning the menu? Nothing vegetarian! No worries, i do eat fishes and chickens. Stopped by for a early dinner and looking for fresh food and light. Menu has every thing on it one could want with breakfast served all day. I decided on the chicken kabob with grilled vegetables. Possibly the WORST food I have had in years! I had meatloaf, which was clearly pre-made "hungry man" frozen dinner style. My children ordered pancakes, spaghetti & meatballs & chicken tenders. My oldest 2, who eat anything, hated their food. My husband ordered breakfast food and he said it was "okay" - much prefer IHOP or even Waffle House for breakfast. The only thing our whole family thought was pretty good was the pancakes. Overall, VERY disappointed & way too expensive for the quality. The portions were very large, but I would much prefer smaller portions of GOOD food!! Quality over Quantity!!! We eat out very frequently and this is the worst experience we have had. This is a relatively small restaurant, kind of open kitchen which gives it a homey feeling. I've eaten breakfast and lunch here before, food is good. There's also Greek food on the menu which my bf loved. Similar food options of those at Marietta Diner. The food is not like out of this world but it's certainly good. Typical diner food and environment. It's quiet, family friendly, and economical. As a change of pace, a good place to eat out. Breakfast available anytime, which is what we went for. Cheaper than IHop, and not as busy a Waffle House. Nothing stellar, but you're not paying stellar prices. This is a hidden jewel for Greek food. The tzatziki sauce is the best. The meat always tender and flavorful. The Greek platter is a huge amount of freshly prepared deliciousness! My family and I found this place several years ago. After our first meal, we sort of hoped it would not become too popular since we are not fond of crowds. But people come in steadily throughout the day and into the night making anytime dinning easy. We have always had a good meal at a reasonable price. Service is great and the atmosphere is friendly. absolute biggest disappointment of my trip to georgia.... it left me thinking if people in duluth are just used to bad cooking and this is why it was rated so highly, i felt terribly mislead by reading all the previous reviews and expected something good, maybe even great, but what we got was the worst of the worst. we were staying at a nearby hotel that offered breakfast but decided on one morning to find a highly rated, popular, local diner to get some good southern home cooking (and before i get any hate on this i should state that while i reside outside of chicago, i haven't always. i am from buford and my family is southern, and we cook). we decided on the duluth diner based solely on all the outstanding yelp reviews and it was not a good experience for us, at all. 1. the girl that seated us was rude, and very strange. staring into space, never making eye contact....when we asked her if breakfast was still being served she ignored us, we asked again and she got all nervous and was looking around and still not answering. i said, "excuse me, miss, are you still serving breakfast or not?" and still she didn't respond, just stood there (it was very uncomfortable). finally a man white came and grabbed her and said, "they're talking to you!" and answered our question with "yes!" and walked away. 2. the food took 45 MINUTES to come out, we ordered very basic and simple egg and pancake orders. there were people next to us who were being served way before us and had arrived 15 minutes after we placed our order. we sat there trying to get someone's attention and were continually ignored. FINALLY our server came over (and while it was busy, it was not terribly busy, there was no wait and plenty of available seating) and said "just a few minutes".... 3. the food comes out....HOLY DISAPPOINTMENT BATMAN!!! the belgium waffle was smaller than the waffles at the hotel breakfast, the bacon that came with it was translucent and rubbery, it was SO COLD that i sent it back and ate nothing. what a waste. my mom ordered biscuits and gravy and a child in kindergarten could make that gravy, it either came out of a can or a powdered package. the biscuits tasted more like wonder bread buns. my daughter's omelette was SO thin, thinner than a pancake, and the eggs were so over cooked and chewy. the only thing that tasted good, at all, was the piece of pie my son had but that cost $7! 4. the waitress was one of the rudest people i have ever come across. my mom asked where the butter was (for her pancakes) and she shouts "it comes on side, on side, i bring on side, on side" she said it over and over until my mom said "then bring it!". she went and got a bowl of butter and threw it on the table (honestly). i have no idea, at all, how this place is rated so high. "perfect food", "excellent service", "friendly waitresses"..... either these reviews are from loyal customers who grew up here, friends/family of the owners, or people who have never had excellent food and service. just sad. read more
