When the food came we opened our super nachos and I immediately noticed the brown/black guacamole. It was so dark in color that my husband actually thought it was the carne asada! We tried one chip and the cheese was hard and the chips were soft and didn't break at all. You know how soggy chips bend but don't break? Well that's what we had. And they actually through in on the side some fresh chips. The ones that break and are not soggy. So we can actually compare the two quality. To be honest it seemed like they gave us an order that was made hours ago and maybe it was a returned item or something someone didn't pick up that they kept in the fridge all day. Sucks to right this review because we have had previously good experiences but when we called to explain the quality the lady in the phone didn't seem to care at all and just said "well what do you want us to do" no empathy at all for the quality of their food. My sister told me about Dulce's Antojitos while I was visiting her on a Tuesday and she mentioned they have the best Taco Tuesday in the area. We ordered 24 street taco's which included grilled Chicken and Carnitas. You can do Carne Asada for an additional charge. The tacos will come topped with cilantro and onions unless you opt not to have it. They have a huge salsa bar which everything from limes, grilled jalapeños, a wide variety of salsas, etc... Oh, and did, I mention the price of the tacos is only $1.00!!! That's a steal and they are not sting with the meat either. I also ordered the a large horchata. When I received it was really dark brown in color not really appealing to drink, but I thought it was just their style of making it. The customer service was terrible. When I went to pick up the tacos my sister ordered there was a language barrier and it took forever to pick up they tried to recharge me for a new order of different kind of tacos and I had to wait a while for someone who spoke English. I finally get my tacos and they smell so delicious and I am giddy. I get back to my sister's house and we get chow down. They chicken tacos are my favorite as they are juicy and so flavorful. The carnitas are really good as well. I took a sip of my horchata and it instantly went straight in the trash. It was way too sweet and way too much cinnamon and it was a ton of cinnamon sitting at the bottom of the cup. They consistency of they drink was very think and therefore not enjoyable nor drinkable. Absolutely a no for me. To make matters worse- they won't help you with order issues after you've left the store- so I was hungry and grossed out. Convenience plays a big part since it's next door to where I do some of my grocery shopping from time to time. Their food has always been good and authentic. They have a good variety of food, drinks and salsa's that are not always available at other "like" taquerias in the area. The service has always been very pleasant and prompt. Working across the street I see what the area has to offer. The ratings here are decent so I give them a shot.
