After searching the internet, we found a gorgeous design and asked if Renata could make something similar. What she delivered was breathtaking. One of guests didn't even think it was a real cake! Despite spending over $100, I was treated with a shockingly nasty, hostile, rude, and unprofessional attitude. When I complained about her behavior, she actually told me not to return. Even more concerning was what I personally observed around the food: her fingernails appeared dirty, she was not wearing gloves, and her hair appeared loose and insufficiently restrained around the food/service area. Combined with her treatment of customers, this left me seriously questioning the standards being maintained here. I will be submitting a complaint regarding what I observed to the appropriate Connecticut/local health authorities for their review. A bakery should provide courteous service and inspire confidence in how its food is handled. This experience did neither. Ownership needs to address both issues. I will not return or recommend this location and strongly urge others to think twice before spending their money here.
