Absolutely unacceptable experience on Monday, September 7, Labor Day. To be clear, I did not interact with the owner; my experience was with a dark-haired female employee behind the counter. Despite spending over $100, I was treated with a shockingly nasty, hostile, rude, and unprofessional attitude. When I complained about her behavior, she actually told me not to return. Even more concerning was what I personally observed around the food: her fingernails appeared dirty, she was not wearing gloves, and her hair appeared loose and insufficiently restrained around the food/service area. Combined with her treatment of customers, this left me seriously questioning the standards being maintained here. I will be submitting a complaint regarding what I observed to the appropriate Connecticut/local health authorities for their review. A bakery should provide courteous service and inspire confidence in how its food is handled. This experience did neither. Ownership needs to address both issues. I will not return or recommend this location and strongly urge others to think twice before spending their money here.

Ever since the station cafe started doing a $10 card minimum, I stopped going to it because I can't justify paying $10 for a coffee when I need to use cash for other things. The coffee is cheaper too even if you take the $10 minimum argument out entirely. Where coffee was $3.76 at the station, this one was $3.21 before tax.
