    Cooked to order!
    Lorna P.

Food is delicious. Presentation is fresh and plenty. Passing thru the area, I be found searching in this app. I was reluctant because of the "food court". Once inside, you quickly see this is a special place. The Roosevelt was an old movie theatre that closed in the 60's. Where the screen was, there is a long bar With outdoor access. There are a few types of food to choose from. We ordered tacos and steak salad, and he brought it to us in the bar. The Mayor was running the bar, and kept us entertained with old stories from this special place. A definite place to come back to!!

    Chicken Meat Burrito

My go to Mexican place in Beacon! The best burrito I've ever had. The service is incredible, they remember me because I come back so often. I've taken multiple people here and always recommend it. Would give it more stars if I could!

That's half of the pork chorizo torta !

Having some of my favorite beer options from the local area / North East (shout out to Mast Landing's Gunners Daughter). Aside from the beer, the tacos here were incredible. They are not lying about the best tacos in town. Although the seating area is on the smaller side, it never felt cramped - it was the perfect spot to spend a few hours this rainy day. As a bonus, the bar tenders were super knowledgeable on the local beer scene. I really enjoyed hearing some of their stories on how certain breweries ended up on tap at Draught Industries. Hoping to be back again this summer/fall.

Between Industrial Arts (which brews some of my…read moreall-time favorite beers), Hudson Valley Brewery, Two Way, and a handful of others, you could spend a whole weekend here just brewery hopping. Draught Industries fits right into that scene. It's a spot run by people who clearly care about craft beer, with a long, rotating tap list and a laid-back, slightly quirky vibe. But what surprised me most was the food. I started with the pulled pork sandwich with ghost pepper aioli. The pork was tender and smoky, and the aioli brought real heat without drowning out the meat. If you like spice, get it. The real reason I'll be back, though, is the wild boar tacos. I love wild boar, and you almost never see it on a menu, so I ordered it the second I saw it. They come topped with guacamole, pineapple pico de gallo, and habanero peppers. The richness of the boar, the creamy guac, and the sweet pineapple against the habanero heat all worked together perfectly. Easily some of the best tacos I've had in the Hudson Valley. Great beer, bold food, and a menu willing to take chances. If you're doing a Beacon brewery crawl, make Draught Industries a stop. And come hungry.

Villa Picante is a small casual Mexican restaurant with table service and a robust takeout/delivery business. Inside is cute but not fancy. They have some accent pieces that add to the vibe. Service was terrific. I ordered the Alambre plate, shared Bistec Nachos and tried the Chicken in my son's Tinga Burrito. The Nachos were good. This is a good problem to have -- I think there was too much steak. LOL. The Guac was first rate. There was melted cheese and queso fresco. I could have used a bit less steak and more vegetables, but these were good nachos. The Alambre plate arrived like an awesome sizzling platter of fajitas with melted Oaxaca cheese over the top . It had steak, chorizo, onions, peppers. Our server (who also seemed like an owner), asked if I wanted it spicy and I said medium spicy. It was served with rice, beans and flour tortillas. This was really terrific. They nailed the spice level and the flavors were great. I loved the chorizo mixed in with the other traditional steak fajita ingredients. The flour tortillas were good. This dish exceeded my expectations. My 12 year old son is still exploring new foods, which I love, but sometimes they end up being different than he expects. He didn't love the chicken texture, but I think Villa Picante nailed the chicken and the burritos too. There was no cheap filler in the burrito. The chicken had great flavor and texture. I love Villa Picante. They have my high recommendation. I'd return if we had more time in town. 4.5 Stars

The vibe is comfortable, friendly, and very local. You really get that neighborhood restaurant feeling. The food was excellent. They start with complimentary chips and homemade salsa -- fresh with a little spicy kick at the end. We had the chicken burrito, chicken quesadilla, and pork tacos, and everything was delicious. The pork taco has a slightly gamey flavor, which I personally loved, but if you don't like that taste, I'd recommend chicken instead. I do wish you could mix and match different taco fillings, and the restaurant is a little on the rougher/less-clean side, but honestly, neither took away from the overall experience for me. Another big plus: 15% off when you pay cash. Great food, great local atmosphere, and friendly service. Definitely coming back.
