Decided to give this spot another try. I remember trying it last year with some nutella filling and it was too overly sweet for me. Today, we were craving churros and tried their plain el grande churro and funnel churro. It was very good and hit the spot. They make their churros fresh in house and it comes out hot and crispy, soft in the inside. The funnel churro was more crispier, but I think it's because it was thinner. Service was very quick- came out within 10 minutes. There are a bunch of tables inside and outside. For the price, I would say it's definitely worth it. I will be back when I have my next sweet churro craving!!
We would give this spot 10 stars if we could. We were visiting from California and was thrilled to see an entire place dedicated to one of our favorite treads. The folks behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. It was awesome to watch our churros being made. The space is clean and well lit. We enjoyed every bite of the best churros we've ever had.
What a way to end a night with the BEST churro bites I have ever had! crunchy outside with a soft middle filled with pumpkin spice and vanilla ice cream! I had such a hard time deciding on what to get bec all the options looked incredible. the churro ice cream sandwich I'm already ready to go back to try!! Also family owned and operated, the staff was fun and helpful and poured love into their creations.
It was so good. The oil was very clean, it tasted fresh, not greasy and didn't have that bitter oily aftertaste that some churros do. Nile was very nice and walked us through the whole menu. Very affordable treat! This would make a perfect family outing after dinner or date night dessert. We will definitely be back.
Churros here are so delicious and light!! I got the four churros called the "Spaniards" and the soft serve ice cream, with 10 churros called bites all with toppings! And a large horchata for $20 Has a good seating area inside and out:)
We had just moved into the area and was looking for a sweet treat. This place did not disappoint. The churros were amazing and the options! It wasn't only good but also just a fun place. Highly recommend when you are looking for something different and a lot of fun.
Food: 5/5 I ordered the funnel churro with powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. My mom ordered a side of strawberry sauce. I did not try the sauce and will be solely reviewing the churro. The churro is fresh and delicious. It was soft in the middle and crunchy on the outside. The cinnamon sugar topping is yummy. My only qualm is that they put too much sugar. Service: 5/5 The cashier was patient as my mom and I kept debating what we wanted to order. He even suggested to get a side of strawberry sauce instead of strawberries on top. He wished us a good night as we left. Ambience: 5/5 The shop inside is cute and inviting. Overall, this place is worth a visit.
This cafe stayed open on New Year's Eve just for us instead of closing up at around 8 pm. The churros were heavenly delicious. I highly recommend this cafe if you are in town or just a local. Jared was really nice and talked to us for a bit. They also gave us an extra free churro because they accidentally made another one.
Got invited to a taco night and was put in charge of dessert...no pressure, right? I wanted to keep it on theme, so Dulce immediately came to mind. I ordered the party tray ($32) and caramel sauce ($7) from their site and picked it up the next day, right on time. It was a total hit and everyone was drooling over how good the churros were! Plus, the guy who helped me (I'm pretty sure he was the owner) was super nice and even told me exactly how to reheat them, which was clutch. I'll definitely be back!
Wow, this place was absolutely amazing. I am still dreaming about it 2 days later and cannot wait for our next visit! We happened across it and just had to give it a try and were so glad we did. The inside is so warm and welcoming from the staff to the furniture. The service was great and everything we tried was delicious. One of us had a plain grande churro, yum. Another had a Nutella filled grande churro. And then we also tried the churro fries with lemon and chocolate dips. Amazing. The kids especially loved that you could watch them making them. You have to try this place!
Found this place on Yelp. Churros are made fresh! Nice crunch on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Loved the churro ice cream sandwich and the Spanish hot chocolate as a dip for the churro straws. The regular hot chocolate was excellent. In a strip mall with plenty of seating. Clean and fresh aesthetic. Service is fast and friendly.

The churros here at soooooo yummy. They are fresh, a little crispy on the outside and chewy in the inside. I ordered the regular churro pieces with ice cream. You don't get a lot of ice cream, so I would suggest that you just go for the churros here. Bring them home and eat them with some vanilla Tillamook if you want to eat your churros with ice cream. read more
This place is wonderful, a great value for your money. This is americanized Spanish establishment. They have mini churros that mirror the traditional churros in Spain, particularly in Madrid. The churro are meant to be served with chocolate on the side for dipping. The hot chocolate drink is out of the world, very delicious. You will not regret this especially during the winter season. They have ice cream, which is a fantastic choice to go with churros. You cannot go wrong with the ice cream at all, which is why I attributed this place as an americanized spanish. It is next to a pho resturant, a great place to get noodle soup and then churros afterward. It is also next to an americanized Mexican restaurant, which seems pretty popular. Parking is plentiful. Authentic Spanish Churro's Since we found this jewel it's become our weekly date night dessert stop. I've not seen this type of dessert since I was in Europe many years ago. You have got to try the 'Spanish Churro' and be sure to order it with the classic Hot Spanish Chocolate. It's a big cup of thick hot cocoa. Just dip your churro in this hot cocoa and enjoy. Churros have been all the rage recently, so I was super excited to find this cute little churro cafe. I stopped by on a weekend with some friends and we were able to sample a variety of churros paired with soft serve. Service was friendly if slow, but I didn't mind that since the churros were freshly fried. There's a good amount of seating inside to enjoy the churros and soft serve on the spot, although many of the tables had crumbs on them from previous patrons. The menu consists of different kinds of churros, with or without fillings, with or without soft serve, and with or without toppings. Churro filled with Bavarian cream: I definitely liked the fried freshness of this churro. It was crunchy on the outside but still soft on the inside and had a nice balance of sugar to cinnamon flavor. The Bavarian cream was a little on the sweet side for me and I ended up squeezing some of it out so it didn't overwhelm the churro, but I liked the pairing overall. Vanilla and chocolate swirl soft serve with churro dipped in strawberry sauce: I wasn't a huge fan of the soft serve because the texture was pretty icy and the chocolate flavor wasn't particularly strong so that the two flavors just blended together. The churro itself was definitely freshly made, but the strawberry sauce was drizzled on while the churro was too hot and ended up melty and gloopy. The hot churro also ended up melting a good amount of the soft serve. Vanilla soft serve with churro and crushed Oreo toppings: The vanilla soft serve was again pretty icy in texture and melted by the hot churro. The Oreo topping was pretty chunky and could've been crushed a little better. I liked the churro better without any sauce on top. Not a bad combination overall. I would be willing to give this cute little churro cafe another try, but I might stick with their stuffed churros rather than pairing it with soft serve or any dippings. It's a hard line getting the churro freshly fried but cool enough to put on dippings and soft serve, but that might be an important point to perfect. read more
Yum! I always wanted to try here but since I live pretty far away from here I just browsed on Yelp, but today finally I got to try Churro here! It took me a while to choose what to eat, although I wanted to have em all, I ordered Spaniard with sugar on them and Spanish Hot Chocolate as a dipping. Spaniard came with 4 pieces, which are good enough for two to share. And omg, they were so good!!! So so so so so good!!! Usually I'm a chocolate person, so I'd prefer eat any bakery snack with chocolate, but this one was just perfect as it is. I almost forgot that I had a chocolate dipping sauce lol anyways Spanish Hot Chocolate was really good, too! I'll come back here more often whenever I come to Mesa! read more
I have been dreaming of this place since it was described to me by my brother when he first moved here over a year ago.....after much anticipation it was some what anti climatic. It was very yummy don't get me wrong. But sadly the girl working was like 14 and not helpful at all and seemed kind of annoyed with me, even though I'd never been. Also I was really excited for the presentation, and I realize we got it to go because of COVID but they just kinda crammed them all in one box and it was just a mess. Churro Fact: Some people suggests that the name, "Churro" has its roots in Spain. It is named a churro because it resembles the horns of a breed of Spanish sheep named Churro. "Can you guys not touch gooey tips? It makes me feel uncomfortable." And then a Boomerang was recorded. ;) What can be said? The churros are made fresh before your eyes and comes to you at the temperature that rivals the face of the Sun. We're talking hot Hot HOT! Be careful or walk away with a missing patch of tastebuds on your tongue. Wash your churro down with some jamaica or a Tereré tea and it's bliss. Whether you get your churro filled or have your dip on the side, it's gonna be a tasty treat. All in all, DULCE Churro Cafe is excellent place for some churros. It's a bit of a drive for me to come out here so who knows when I'll be back but dang, I get the hype! read more

This place is all about churros and taking them to the next level. On my trip to Barcelona, I remember seeing churros stands in the city that we're filled with delicious cream, Carmel or some sort of fruit filling. These churros stood up to the standards of churros out in Barcelona. They even do a great job of having hot drinks like chai teas and hot chocolates to pair up a delicious churro. I have had a churro ice cream sandwich in southern California and I felt like I had to go with to that to see how it holds up. Honestly it was delicious plua the churro is made fresh and served warm. I felt like strawberry ice cream added a nice touch to add that fruity element to the churro. My friends got a hot chocolate and said it was very chocolatey almost like it was a bar or chocolate added to hot water. Very good but heavy on the chocolate. All around a good place for a good treat and there's plenty of directions you can take your churro dreams here read more

Very disappointed by this place. Soft serve is just not good. The texture was not right. 50 cents for topping and they don't give you enough. The churro itself is too thin so you don't get the soft chewy texture inside. Unfortunately I will not be back read more
These just might be the best churros we have ever had. I like the ordering process and the different variety of styles you can get. You pick the style of churro (traditional, twisted, bites, etc) then you can add on a dip (on the side), a glaze (on the churro), toppings or a filling. You can even add soft serve ice cream. It's a cool concept. I went with the Spaniard (four small twists) with chocolate glaze and sprinkles. My girlfriend got the traditional el grande (sugar and cinnamon) with vanilla soft serve with sprinkles. We both enjoyed our selections a lot. The ice cream is nothing special but it compliments the churro for sure. I liked the chocolate glaze but it was almost too much, I would probably just get one plain next time or maybe get a dip on the side. Overall if you like churros you have got to try this place. The price is amazing for the value! Clean and basic interior, but decent amount of seating options. Clean bathroom. read more

La Dulce Vita! Churros galore! Filled, looped, glazed, you name it, they probably offer it at this cafe. They also offer soft serve and coffee. The shop is conveniently located right next to YouFit Health Club to perfectly ruin all that effort you put into the treadmill and elliptical ;) I had a looped churro with chocolate glaze, soft serve vanilla, and mango dip. When it came out it looked so delicious! When I took the first bite though I was disappointed to find 90% of the churro was tough and chewy. The chocolate glaze on top was a nice touch but it was way too sweet for me. The soft serve was decent and added a nice temperature and texture difference with the rest of the dessert. I liked the mango dip as well. At over $6 for this dessert, sadly I can get better tasting churros for cheaper at a Costco food court. They're still new and maybe working out some kinks in the system so hopefully they'll improve on a few things! read more

The beau is a fan of churros so we stopped in last week. Don't be overwhelmed when you walk in - the newness has worn off & the staff seems to expect you to know what you're talking about when you place your order. We didn't & apologized, thankfully there weren't any lines forming behind us as we tried to figure out how to order. There are several different ways you can order your churro, but not all the ways are available with the fillings/toppings and such. We fumbled through our order settling on a loop (which you cannot order filled) with the Bavarian creme to dip in and regular churro dipped in the strawberry glaze with fruity pebbles, vanilla soft serve on the side, with mango dipping sauce. Your order will be served pipping hot (and not necessarily together as they are making them by hand - which you can witness through a window behind the counter (makes for some great pics). Flavor was good, but too crispy/hard for my liking. I tasted some of his with the dip & all and it was just too sweet for me. There is ample seating inside & outside the restaurant. If I may make a suggestion, follow Pita Jungle's lead (Val Vista location) and add some buffers to the ceiling to cut down on the volume level inside. We couldn't have a conversation seated next to each other at the counter as there was a family seated against the opposite wall that was allowing their kids to screech and yell. Even the counter help had to attempt to yell over them as they aided another couple in ordering. We will probably give this place another shot down the road. read more

This review is for the Dulce Churro in Mt Pleasant South Carolina. This place was absolutely beautiful There was a huge tree with cherry blossoms dripping from the roof. They have a swing and many photo ops. I enjoyed the egg, potato and chorizo burrito. It was accompanied by a delicious salsa verde. My mom liked her egg omelet and my daughter loved her chicken waffle. The chicken had an amazing spice and the waffles had maple~honey syrup that was addicting! My granddaughter had the coconut water cotton candy. YUMMY!! My daughter also bought their signature alcoholic drink, The cherry blossom. It had hints of lavender and was topped with Cotton Candy...amazing! I cannot wait for my next visit. I am going to get The Tea Service! It comes with Tea, Macaroons, sandwiches and pastries for four people. It is $35 read more
Deliciousness! The Nutella filled churro with soft ice cream is to die for. The soft serve tasted very homemade and the churro is super moist and melts in your mouth. The Spaniard was thinner and crispier and also very good. The interior is nice and spacious, clean bathrooms and the kitchen was very clean as well(a plus in my books!). Best Churros in town!!! Staff was super friendly and helpful. You can watch the staff make the churro and serve them right in front of you. The ice cream churro sandwich is a must have but you have to eat it super fast because it will melt quick in the AZ heat. Also, a must have is the filled churros. You can get Bavarian Cream, Nutella, or dulce de leche filled churros. I got the dulce de leche which was the best churro I have ever had! You get the cinnamon sugar right off the bat with a nice crunch then into a soft chewy center with that hit if DULCE de leche on the back end! Do damn good to pass up!!!
