This spot feels like the love child of Dunkin' Donuts and KFC - and honestly, it worked better than I'd expect. Combining fried chicken and fresh donuts under one roof is an indulgent, no-rules concept that's perfect if you're craving comfort food without overthinking it. Fair warning: this place is not for the calorie counters. The staff were generally pleasant and attentive. Even as a first timer, the cashier took the time to walk me through the menu and highlight my options, which made the experience more personal than your typical fast-casual spot. I went with the spicy fried chicken and it delivered. Crispy, juicy and full of flavor in that satisfying fast-food way. A bit milder in spice than I'd typically prefer but tasty enough that I'd order again. Pricing felt very fair to what you get. I took the chance to also try their donuts. I tried 3 options: chocolate covered, original and an apple crisp. Could only eat pieces of each as I was full but they were soft, sweet and enjoyable, though not as fresh as what you'd get from a dedicated Dunkin. Still solid for a hybrid setup. Overall a refreshing low key meal. It was nice to hit a casual spot that's not pretentious in its offerings and does exactly what it sets out to do: serve tasty fried chicken and donuts without the fuss. The spot for when those cravings hit!!
Been coming to Duffin's Donut since they were originally on Main St and 33rd. Luckily they moved to Knight and 41st which is still close enough. I came for the donuts, Vietnamese subs/tortas and the fried chicken. They do catering, we have been ordering their fried chicken with rice + donuts for our group of 100 people. We pick up as they don't deliver. Their fried chicken is Fritou and they originate from Quebec in the late 90's. Duffin's is the only place that served Fritou fried chicken and they are really good. I always order the 3 pieces (1 wing, 1 drum & 1 thigh with fries or rice) for $9.39. You can ask for a mix of spicy or original but think the spicy is better and not too hot. I usually can't finish and take the rest home. Open 24 hours and considered the best deal in town for the portion of food you get. The decor is not fancy more like a hole-in-the-wall but that is what I love about it! They are here to impress you with the food and not the decor. The colourful orange and green bench seatings were originally from their shop on Main and 33rd so I love seeing them as it's reminded me of their good old days when you see motorcycles mixed with Mercedes cars in their parking lot.
I've been coming here on and off since they first moved here from the main street location. I would normally give a higher rating but today they were being extra with no f's given frfr. I stop here on the way to work to grab a sandwich and a donut or two prices are exceptionally . The selection is way better than Tim Hortons by a mile. The sign on the door says open at 6 we'll they weren't opened at 5 after, now things happen on occasion I get it but the fact that there was a bunch of staff in there puttering around was a bit off putting. The nonchalant attitude of no f's given was also a bit of a turn off. Update. Nov/25 stopped in for a quick snack stop, just before the afternoon rush apparently. The service is circling the metaphorical toilet. The tables were absolutely disgusting I had to ask for a towel and cleaning products to wipe down a table so I could enjoy my lunch. The floors have chunks of food and sticky, the donut selection is limited. And man the fried chicken is so salty I felt my blood pressure rise immediately. It's sad seeing a once favourite staple slide so far
Been many years since I was last in Duffins Donuts despite pretty much driving by it most days. It is located on the corner of 41st Ave and Knight Street. Very busy intersection and they have free parking which is a huge plus. The interior is very dated and happy they have booths as a seating option. I had tried their fried chicken previously and it was quite good. This time it was donut and tea time. I liked their selection of donuts and I opted for the maple glazed chocolate donut with nuts. It has been a while since I had any donut, and I liked the taste and presentation of the donut. I was a positive food experience and I may return to sample their other foods.
We love Duffin donuts! They make amazing torta sandwiches and fried chicken. My go to is the Machaca sandwich and my daughter always gets the teriyaki chicken. Their donuts are super popular and my kiddo loves the powder raspberry. They also have a full selection of Jaritos soda and our favorite is Cola Champagne! It tastes like a cream soda but better. Prices are awesome and staff are friendly.
Best value in Vancouver. 2 sandwiches, 2 coffees, less then 20$! If you want a delicious budget breakfast lunch supper or 2 am snack this is your place. Do not judge the looks, this place is legendary. Donuts, coffee, bubble tea, all day sandwiches and fried chicken and even chinese food. All super affordable and amazing service.
Like many others have mentioned, Duffin's Donuts is the OG in the neighborhood. The name says donuts, but they have many other items such as fried chicken, Mexican tortas, Vietnamese subs and tamales. You can find the tamales in the fridge. The sandwiches are made to order on the grill and probably not favorite item. The tamales are my second favorite to take home and eat whenever you feel like. They have both beef and chicken. Funny enough the donuts are only a bit above average to me, but I still appreciate the different flavors. The place is a little dirty so it could use a good deep clean. It's 24 hours on the weekend but opened till midnight on the weekdays.
I always feel like "ah I want to eat fried chicken but don't need fries. It's just rip off side dish and I wish I could order without fries." This Duffin gave me the opportunity and I'm so glad to find it. I ordered four spicy fried chicken and all came from different parts of chicken. I think that's a great idea, and the price is very affordable, $11ish Spicy fried chicken is not that hot. Maybe salty spice rather than heat. So tasty.
Duffins Donuts is an East Van classic that has everything you can imagine. From donuts, viet subs, fried chicken, fries as well as a variety of drinks! We got the old fashion, apple fritter and double chocolate donuts. If you want to try something other than donuts I highly recommend any of their tortas or fried chicken! Just make sure to bring cash or a debit card because I am pretty sure they do not take credit! This place also used to be 24/7 but I think it now closes around midnight.
Certified classic! This place has been here for decades and it's still pumping out all kinds of food at affordable prices and high quality! Everyone loves the donuts and the chicken of course -- donuts are probably the best of the no-frills type for the price in the city, and the chicken reminds me of the guilty pleasure gas station chicken, but of a quality that is a tier or two better (always get spicy!). My personal favorite however has to be the hot dogs. They have hiked a bit in price but they're huge, deliciously hot (toasted bun!), and come with all the classic toppings if you ask for it. The sandwiches are great too, I just don't think they're as "worth it" as the hot dog. The old diner-style interior could be a turn off for some people, but it is clean and the service is ALWAYS top notch, no matter the hour.
I actually ate my donut before taking a picture of it so sorry guys! Apple fritters here are my fave though! So delicious! This is my first time being back here since the whole covid situation and the hours being all different. But damn the fried chicken is just as delicious as i've always remembered. I tried the wing for the first time since i went with a 4 piece! Spicy is actually not even that spicy. So don't shy away for all you people who get intimidated by spice. I additionally tried their pork veggie spring roll for the first time ... i'm not sure if it's because of the time i went but the roll wasn't that crunchy. Texture wise i'd give it a 3/5 .. taste was probably a 2.5 .. I probably wouldn't get the spring roll again. Ambiance was lively and bumpin because it was a weekend and it's always busy from what i remembered. This place i forgot to mention only takes debit and cash. Also the parking lot is quite hectic so if you're not someone who is good with parking lots, maybe park down the street or something. Service is This place has good subs sandwiches too which i didn't get a picture of as i didn't order it this time. There is a seating area if you feel like eating there. Definitely a budget friendly date place .. they do take orders over the phone too if you prefer that method.
The most iconic spot in Vancouver. If you haven't heard or been here, you are living under a rock. I appreciate the owner in letting me bring my setup: The vibes that day were great. Had to bring my PlayStation 5 and cook some kids in NBA 2k26. Can't sleep on the food I got. Fried chicken with love, taro slush (50% sugar on a diet ) and the donuts everything just put me to bed afterwards
Always drove by but never made it in until yesterday when we had a donut craving & were in the neighbourhood. They have a wide variety of donut flavours & they're cheap (under $2 each) but understandably quite small. Taste-wise, I'd say they're slightly above average. I liked the twisty old fashioned one & the ube one. They're sweet, but not crazy sweet, which is good for me. Lines can get long but they're pretty fast-moving. The place is open 24hrs on weekends & till midnight on weekdays, so it's convenient to satisfy a late-night sugar craving!

This was my third consecutive weekend for my craving of donuts. This was the most affordable by far which meant great value. Again I selected half a dozen to go. I always thought this placed served only donuts. But it was a pleasant surprise to see they served a full menu of other items. I couldn't resist by ordering their chicken wings and fries. Both the wings and donuts were quite good. May not rank up there with the others, but certainly had the best value. read more

Hands down THE BEST fried chicken in Vancouver. They have two options - spicy and regular. I had three pieces of spicy and tried a bite of regular and both were incredible. I don't know how they make it or what seasoning is in their batter but it is divine. Best part too, it's open 24 hours and it's extremely cheap! If you're not in for fried chicken, this menu is huge and has a mix of so many things from hot dogs to tamales. Even fruit bowls for those who are looking for a healthy options as their friends pig out on breakfast at 3am. I am in love and will most likely frequent Duffins most weekends. An institution. Hope it's around for a long time. read more
Let's be honest here, Duffin's is a Vancouver institution and should be considered one of the cities landmarks. The only 24/7 place in town to offer good and comforting food that isn't a fast food chain. From drunks and hookers to homeless people and kids with pants down to their ankles to old Asian men playing cards, this spot offers some of the best people watching that Vancouver has to offer. The best things they have are the chicken teriyaki sandwhich and the long john donut which in my opinion is the best overall donut in the city. read more
Donuts.. fried chicken... both made in house. Wow we have been here a couple of times and the food here is fantastic. Had a mix of original and spicy fried chicken this past time and a mixed 1/2 dozen donuts the spicy fried chicken was fantastic and the original was it's classic crispy outside juicy inside. Seasoned as always and fantastic flavour. The made in house donuts were absolutely fantastic fluffy and had great flavors, tossed in cinnamon sugar mix, strawberry filled, Boston cream & original. Absolutely fantastic so delicious we will be back in a few weeks don't just drive by.. give it a try read more

Whatever Duffin puts in his donuts, it's magical. I couldn't finish a box full of donuts and had to finish it the next day and they still tasted edible and almost fluffy:) read more
It has been a while since I tried anything from Duffin's, which is famous for their donuts. Recently, I tried their donuts and they were noticeably smaller and somewhat less flavourful - in terms of taste, it reminds me of Tim Hortons donuts back in the 90's when they made decent fresh donuts. I recommend any of their donuts without any sugary icing or glazes, those are their standout donuts. The chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. All of the toppings tasted fresh: grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, red peppers, avocado. However, the bun was rather hard and it could have been better if they freshly baked their bread. read more

I love donuts. Raised donuts and cake donuts, old-fashioned and crullers. Basically, I don't discriminate. But, I've standards. Duffin's gave me a weird mouth-feel that I wasn't too fond of, so as far as their donuts go, I wouldn't recommend them. They sure are pretty though! But, wait! They have food. Savory, delicious, freshly-made food. And, oh my goodness, is it good! The banh mi and fried chicken? Get them! What you do is you eat the chicken and take the banh mi to go. Or, eat both, if your stomach desires. read more
MMMMMM.... Doooonut. As a kid growing up in Vancouver, I used to go to Duffin's a lot. Since then, many of the local donut shops (Duffin's and Nuffy's) have disappeared and replaced by Timmy's. So just for kicks, I decided to pay Duffin's a visit to relive my childhood memories. When I walk in, I immediately notice the variety and quantity of donuts in the main display case. There's everything from the traditional powdered donuts and long johns to spinkled honey crullers. The donuts are freshly made as I can see into the back kitchen where there's 3 ladies dipping and powdering fresh batches. I was there for half an hour and saw 3 new trays of donuts being brought out despite the case being almost full. I was with a few friends and split a dozen which cost $9. The freshness and quality of the donuts was certainly a step up from Tim's. This Duffin's is a little odd in that donuts is only half their business. The menu board on the wall have pictures of all sorts of subs and sandwiches - pork, lamb, vietnamese, etc. There's even fried chicken and bubble tea if you're so inclined. I already had dinner so I can't comment on the other food items but one of my friends insists that the food is excellent. They also are less than $5 so there's certainly value to be had. The sitting area is something to be desired. While there was ample seating for our group, it could certainly use a makeover. It reminds me of an old food court from the 80s. We were there on a saturday night and there were a fair number of questionable characters wandering around. No one that made me worry for my life but caused me to stare for an impolite period of time - and not in a good way. Anyhow, if you're hankering for a quality donut and want something different than Tim's, check it out. read more

This is my absolute favorite place to get sandwiches fried chicken bubble tea quick snack spring rolls salad's donuts .... And that's just the stuff that I like. They have shaved ices that are huge and shareable. I guess they're kind of like a snow cone but this is beyond the cone. The staff are always super friendly and super nice and even when it's really busy there quick. They have a number system so that you can get your orders and there's no mess ups or any kind of confusion. Their fresh fruit bubble tea is absolutely amazing; it's frozen fruit !!!!!! I can't express to you how delicious these are. I've even driven from downtown Vancouver all the way to the location for a late night snack because I know that there's nowhere near my place that I can get a fresh delicious sandwich for $4.75 read more
This place has a little of everything. Donuts of course, Bubble Tea , Lots of seating, Lots of parking. Central location, Viet food. Shaved ice . Canadian menu with fries and sandwiches, bagels and club houses Fried chicken and a list that just keeps going on!! read more
It may be in the middle of a huge intersection but this place is totally a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's got donuts, vietnamese style sandwiches, fried chicken, coffee, and bbt. An easy way to describe the place is that the food is simple, delicious, and inexpensive (e.g. $4.50 for a sandwich, $2.75 for any 3 donuts, $1.81 for a large coffee, etc.). However, the place doesn't look or feel clean, the seating are all plastic benches, theres a little bit of construction going on, and there really is no "decor." Go for: a cool collection of simple but inexpensive donuts, vietnamese-style sandwiches (i.e. subs made with french bread), and fried chicken Don't go for: anything other than food read more

Duffin's is my go to late night spot. Hubs and I came here after an intense lifting session at the gym and we were starving. The front area/cashier area can be packed however most people are waiting for their food rather than waiting to order. Their sandwiches here are delicious, I usually get the pollo and also the Vietnamese chicken sub but with extra meat. The place can be dirty at times but I don't mind wiping down the tables myself. Their doughnuts here are amazing, my favourite is the sugar raised doughnut...not diet friendly though. I would rather buy a dozen doughnuts here vs. Tim Hortons because they are actually made in-house. Oh and their pupusas are a must try too! read more

Duffin's is an East Van staple, opened 24hrs. It is a great place to grab and go or even to dine-in. You'll find a variety of foods here like homemade donuts, fried chicken, tamales, sandwiches and drinks; coffee, bubble tea, smoothies, etc. We have tried their fried chicken and fries due to its popularity. They came hot, pretty fresh, but we do like our fried chicken spicy so I don't think we will get them next time. However, we love their sandwiches, especially their chicken pollo sandwich. It is so good and fresh. The sandwiches are a good size, and the prices here are great. Their iced coffees and iced cappuccinos are also decent. The service here is always good, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Check this place out, it will not disappoint. read more
I once visited this place often due to loving their Machaca sandwich and Chicken burger and fries combo, that was until they jacked the price up of the chicken burger, I have noticed recently however that they lowered the price of that chicken burger. Anyways, I went there last Saturday night around 11pm for their fried chicken after hearing multiple rave reviews about it. Oh boy! Was I ever disappointed. The chicken had a light crunch, was a bit greasy, dry, and lacked any real flavour despite being spicy. Man was I disappointed after ordering a 10 piece box costing $20. It tasted more like boiled chicken later fried, man were those breast pieces ever dry. Not sure how long it sat under the heat lamp or how often they make new batches, but I was not impressed. Needless to say, this place is a hit or miss. Be aware of what you are ordering and stick to your favorites. read more
This is my favorite place to go on hot summer nights when I'm craving a burger and some soft-serve ice cream. It's kind of a ghetto Dairy Queen of sorts, but better. They've got all kinds of menu items to please every palate: burgers, fries, ice cream, donuts, bubble tea, Chinese food, pupusas and tortas from Latin America and fried chicken too. Get the fries. They are so delicious and crispy! They used to have 30 flavours of soft-serve, but for some reason they have done away with it. My inner child screams, "Whhhhhhhyyyyyyyy?" There are old faded pictures of their menu items displayed on the walls and bright orange benches from my childhood. Lots of characters come into this place, but everyone here is treated fairly. A great neighbourhood place. read more

Was so excited to finally get to Duffin's but they misunderstood my order and gave me a regular Boston cream which I thought was going to be a maple Boston Cream. It was a very good donut, just not the one I wanted. Sadly on a Sunday afternoon the place was completely filthy from the night before which kind of ruined my appetite. I had also read that you can get iced coffees there but it is not true, I ended up with a lemonade instead. Only paid $3 but was pretty disappointed. I hope that night time I have a better experience. You can read my full review here: http://www.suziethefoodie.com/duffins-donuts-lost-foodie-weekend/ read more
Another one of my staple to go joints, food is always fresh, open 24/7 Service 4/5 - Friendly, with a smile Decor: 3/5 - Tables can be a little dirty sometimes but hey, its a fast food/donut joint Food: 5/5 Viet Chicken Sub; ~4.50$ - grilled chicken, jalepenos, cucumber, picked carrots - Hot, crispy, delicous Bear Claw Fritter: 1.75 - Fluffy fresh donut pastry, stuffed with fresh apples, not overly sweet, The apples are still crunchy, delicious. - Its cute and shaped like a bear claw - if you've never had one of these, don't even think twice, try it! read more

We went here after badminton one night for a late night snack. Right in the heart of East Van Duffin's Donuts has been around for about 100 years (just kidding... Probably been around for 20 years! Hahaha). For what it is... A 24 hour late night junk food joint... I give it 4 stars! I had some of their fried chicken and I shared a veggie spring roll. Both were greasy in a good way! Duffin's also has a wide selection of foods... Viet subs, fried chicken, fried Chinese dishes and of course their donuts! I didn't try a donut but my buddy said it was ! Ok I wouldn't come here all the time but it's in my portfolio of places I could go to late night! read more

After moving to Vancouver, I had always passed by Duffin's and was so curious to try a 24h place since we don't have any in Edmonton. I was actually super surprised at how busy and decent their food actually is, not to mention cheap Id go back regardless of a late night trip read more
