My husband brought home filled doughnuts from Vegas Donuts after I'd been opining about trying them for a while now. My strawberries & cream donut was light and fluffy but light on the amount of the filling to donut ratio compared to the same ones eaten by my family. Real whipped cream was used but parts of my donut was dry in areas where there was no filling. The Boston cream that we shared was nicely filled through out. Couldn't comment on the service and ambiance since I wasn't there during the purchase. My family thought the donuts were good overall but my light filled donut was a disappointment. Value wise between $3-4 each it was reasonable. I'm hoping the inconsistency with my donut is only a small blip so I'm giving this shop the benefit of the doubt. I'll likely give it another try if I'm in the neighborhood. read more

I was in the area, and thought I would check the place out. Based on their online menu, it sounded like they had a pretty good, unique selection. They have a range of filled donuts, "fancy donuts" which are iced with additional toppings, and your regular iced donuts, long johns, fritter of the day, and this cream filled pastry type. I ordered 6 various items for $21. It was all jammed in to a box that was a touch too small, and, as a result, there was some icing casualties. They accept credit card. Ol' Blue Eyes - cake donut with blueberry icing. Donut was super soft. You could taste a hint of blueberry in the icing. Raspberry lemon - also a cake donut. Very lemony, but way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. Apple fritter - nice taste and texture, but a little too cheap on the apple. The Homer - regular donut with pink icing and sprinkles. My daughter had this, so I can't comment on it. She polished off all the icing, so I assume it was good. These don't last well the next day, so eat them the same day that you buy them. Located just off kingsway and knight intersection to the southwest.. just tried 3 donuts between the two of us today.. they had flashy names that I don't recall.. first was a coconut cream filled yeast donut with powdered sugar exterior.. I usually go for cake donuts but this one was calling my name.. and it did not disappoint.. pillowy soft donut with a coconut-y whipped cream filling that was lightly sweet... had bits of real coconuts inside.. ugh so so good 6/5.. next was another yeast donut with vanilla cream.. also pillowy soft and lightly sweet.. vanilla flavor was faint 4/5.. lastly, cake donuts root beer flavor.. couldn't taste any root beer but it had a cute little root beer jelly candy topping 3/5.. would love to try out their other flavors.. the yeast filled donuts apparently rotate flavors.. read more

Looks like a new doughnut place has popped up in this dumpy strip mall. Pretty awesome stuff. First heard of this place when a colleague brought a box in. Everyone was gushing about them, but nobody knew where they were from. More on this later. Parking is available in the strip mall lot, as well as the side streets. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has a vintage and somewhat cartoony look, wiht all the pastel pinks and blues. Reminds me of the Simpsons movie poster for some reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Guy behind the counter was somewhat friendly. As of the time of writing, there is a special. Buy 6, get 1 free. As for the product, the doughnuts here are something special indeed. Most western doughnut places (Cartems, Harmony, Krispy Kreme etc.) are way too sweet and heavy on the sugar. This place is much less sweet, which is a nice change. Special mention ot their Cin City Fritter, as well as their cream filled selection. Because they're not as sweet, I could eat more than 1 without feeling sick. They have coffee available as well, but I was unable to try as apparently they only had a super old batch. My only complaint (if this is one) is that their doughnut boxes are generic. I chatted with the owner, and apparently custom boxes are much more expensive. If the owner is reading this, I would suggest putting a sticker with the business information on each box instead. Anyways, I'll gladly gobble down more of these doughnuts in the future. If you love donuts, this is THE place to go! Food: 5/5 - a great assortment and flavors. Kids would love the various decorations on them. My favorite was the whipped cream filled with chocolate topping. They are made fresh and are reasonably priced. Note: if you buy 6, the 7th is free. I've been to Vegas several times, but I can't ever recall having - Vegas Donuts!? Is that a thing in Vegas? New donuterie just opened on Knight St near Kingsway. It's quite the vibrant donut shop with that definite - we're in Vegas feel. Very colourful. Owner was friendly & informed everyone inside what donut flavours were available. I really enjoyed the donuts I had from here! We came on a weekend maybe past noon and the selection was limited. Donuts range from $3 -$4 and are decent size. They remind me so much of homemade donuts so I was eager to give them a try We got the honey dip, Boston cream and an apple fritter. LOVED the Boston Cream one the most!
