Looks like a new doughnut place has popped up in this dumpy strip mall. Pretty awesome stuff. First heard of this place when a colleague brought a box in. Everyone was gushing about them, but nobody knew where they were from. More on this later. Parking is available in the strip mall lot, as well as the side streets. The place has a vintage and somewhat cartoony look, wiht all the pastel pinks and blues. Reminds me of the Simpsons movie poster for some reason. Guy behind the counter was somewhat friendly. As of the time of writing, there is a special. Buy 6, get 1 free. As for the product, the doughnuts here are something special indeed. Most western doughnut places (Cartems, Harmony, Krispy Kreme etc.) are way too sweet and heavy on the sugar. This place is much less sweet, which is a nice change. Special mention ot their Cin City Fritter, as well as their cream filled selection. Because they're not as sweet, I could eat more than 1 without feeling sick. They have coffee available as well, but I was unable to try as apparently they only had a super old batch. My only complaint (if this is one) is that their doughnut boxes are generic. I chatted with the owner, and apparently custom boxes are much more expensive. If the owner is reading this, I would suggest putting a sticker with the business information on each box instead. Anyways, I'll gladly gobble down more of these doughnuts in the future. Recommended.

If you love donuts, this is THE place to go! Food: 5/5 - a great assortment and flavors. Kids would love the various decorations on them. My favorite was the whipped cream filled with chocolate topping. They are made fresh and are reasonably priced. Note: if you buy 6, the 7th is free. Service: 5/5 - great service and friendly too Ambiance: 5/5 funky with a cool vibe to the place. Great place to buy assorted fresh donuts for a birthday party or a an event or just because.

Solid donut shop in Vancouver! I stopped by on a rainy day but perked up at the assortment of donuts. I got the mandalay donut and it was $3. It was a dense donut and I enjoyed the caramel topping! Coffee was also solid :)

I've been to Vegas several times, but I can't ever recall having - Vegas Donuts!? Is that a thing in Vegas? New donuterie just opened on Knight St near Kingsway. It's quite the vibrant donut shop with that definite - we're in Vegas feel. Very colourful. Owner was friendly & informed everyone inside what donut flavours were available. Just as I arrived here I bumped into local influencer - Laura Ullock. https://www.instagram.com/laura.ullock?igsh=ZDZjMm51eWZ6cGtn She was kind enough to let me snap a picture of her Dill Pickle donut. Thank you so much! A couple in front of me wanted 'nut' free donuts & I heard the owner say - "there's no nuts in our donuts." I picked up 6 donuts - Original Glazed, Strawberry, Pineapple, Banana, Ube Strawberry & Coconut. Dill Pickle was all sold out. Booooooooo. The donuts are cake like in texture & taste very good. I will definitely go back & try other flavours. The donut war continues to heat up in Metro Vancouver with new donut shops opening up all over town. Elvis has left the building.

I really enjoyed the donuts I had from here! We came on a weekend maybe past noon and the selection was limited. Donuts range from $3 -$4 and are decent size. They remind me so much of homemade donuts so I was eager to give them a try We got the honey dip, Boston cream and an apple fritter. LOVED the Boston Cream one the most! The cream was light and the chocolate ganache was rich but not too sweet. It was my favorite out of the 3!

It's great to have options around town. Vegas donuts taste more like cake style denser donuts. Sometimes I like lighter and sometimes I prefer a sweeter cake style. The flavors were a hit with the kids.

Well it seems ownership has changed and the new owner doesn't give two craps about prior customers, honoring discounts, replying back timely or being more friendly? Was playing email tag and finally submitted the 39 flavors and didn't hear back until after another week and then told they won't deliver only in morning when they know our reservation was for 730pm and they're open until 9? I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!

I was in need of a pick me up while visiting the Gastown Steam Clock and figured I'd grab a donut from Lee's which is right across the street. There is an overwhelming amount of unique flavors and all of which I would have loved to try. I opted for the matcha and German chocolate donut and wow! I had no idea Canada was known for donuts but I can now understand why. The donuts are super light and airy which I prefer. The reason I don't care for donuts at least in the US is because they're always so dense but it was the complete opposite here. The donuts at Lee's also had a nice crispiness on the outside which added a nice texture. They are also not overly sweet and had great flavor! I especially love the location of this shop because you can do some souvenir shopping on this street and get your pictures of the steam clock. Had I known about this place earlier in my trip I would have loved to come back a second time but at least now I know for the next time that I visit Vancouver. Can't wait to come back for these donuts!

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

I was in need of a snack and this was a short walk from our hotel. 49th Parallel is well known for their thoughtfully sourced, house-roasted coffees and their cult-favorite donuts, but they also offer a small menu of sandwiches if you're looking for something more filling. It wasn't too busy when we got there, though most of the tables were taken. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory: the chestnut brûlée donut, a salted caramel old fashioned, and a couple of breakfast sandwiches--the Doug and the Cascadia--both served on soft, buttery brioche buns. My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.
