The donuts were soft and fresh, with plenty of flavours to choose from. Prices are quite reasonable, making it easy to pick up a few extras! The staff were friendly, patient, and helpful while I decided what to get. I appreciated that they also offer savoury options like breakfast croissants, sandwiches and coffee, if you're looking for something beyond sweets. The shop is easy to get to, with plenty of parking in the plaza. Seating is limited, but it didn't feel like an issue since most customers seem to be grabbing their orders to go. A great neighbourhood spot for fresh donuts! I'll definitely be back to try more flavours.

First thing off the top - I highly recommend you place an order on-line or via cell ahead of time…read morebefore coming down here. This location is strictly a kitchen & not a restaurant. If you're not sure about flavours, call & ask them like I did - clear good explanations for each flavour available on the day you place your order. I ordered 6 flavours - Black Sesame, Elote, Tres Leches, Mangonada, Churro & Original Glaze. I thoroughly enjoyed each & everyone of them! Mochi donuts are chewy & sweet. How to best enjoy them - because they come in several flavours, you'll really want to try all of the half dozen or more you order. I'd highly recommend you cut up each donut with a steak knife (better cut & makes it easier) into 4 pieces. Then try each flavour out. Eating one whole one by itself could actually ruin the experience of enjoying the rest of them. Put the rest away at room temperature for later. If you put them in the fridge overnight, warm them up slightly before eating them. Keep in mind that this is a very delicate to the palate treat & not like regular donuts you might have weekly with coffee. So to truly enjoy mochi donuts, take a break between orders of about a few weeks or you just won't enjoy them the way they're meant to be enjoyed. Take advantage of the current Yelp promo check-in & get 15% off your order. Parking is limited & tight here so bring patience.

The donuts are really chewy and I like that you can rip them apart easily to share. It's a good balance of salty-sweet dough but my favourite is definitely the mochi texture. I don't usually eat a lot of sweets so the glaze on top can be a bit too sweet for me (I got mango, and peach oolong flavours). I think for the price and experience, I'd come back again to try the other flavours!

My strawberries & cream donut was light and fluffy but light on the amount of the filling to donut ratio compared to the same ones eaten by my family. Real whipped cream was used but parts of my donut was dry in areas where there was no filling. The Boston cream that we shared was nicely filled through out. Couldn't comment on the service and ambiance since I wasn't there during the purchase. My family thought the donuts were good overall but my light filled donut was a disappointment. Value wise between $3-4 each it was reasonable. I'm hoping the inconsistency with my donut is only a small blip so I'm giving this shop the benefit of the doubt. I'll likely give it another try if I'm in the neighborhood.

They have a range of filled donuts, "fancy donuts" which are iced with additional toppings, and your regular iced donuts, long johns, fritter of the day, and this cream filled pastry type. I ordered 6 various items for $21. It was all jammed in to a box that was a touch too small, and, as a result, there was some icing casualties. They accept credit card. Ol' Blue Eyes - cake donut with blueberry icing. Donut was super soft. You could taste a hint of blueberry in the icing. Raspberry lemon - also a cake donut. Very lemony, but way too sweet. I couldn't finish it. Apple fritter - nice taste and texture, but a little too cheap on the apple. The Homer - regular donut with pink icing and sprinkles. My daughter had this, so I can't comment on it. She polished off all the icing, so I assume it was good. These don't last well the next day, so eat them the same day that you buy them. Service is pretty friendly. Free parking in lot out front.
