    Lattes

10/10 on all fronts, highly recommend. I've compared several donut locations in North Van, and believe me when I say that Lucky's is the best! First, great location. Close and walkable to shipyards. Second, cute, nice seating, some bistro outdoor seating. Kind service and always staffed appropriately. The coffee is great, I personally always grab an oat milk latte. The latte is always beautiful, tasty and hot. The donuts are always good, but I recommend going in the morning and earlier in the day to get them hot and fresh! My husband and I are on differing sides of the donut fence. He loves a traditional yeast donut. I'm more into old fashioned's and crullers, but we both can find something that we want at Lucky's. I'm partial to the cinnamon sugar cruller - seriously the best cruller I've ever had! Overall, I highly recommend for coffee and donuts in Vancouver!

Came here for the holiday doughnuts editions & they didn't disappoint. We ordered the Merry Punch Old Fashioned, Eggnog Snowball & Black Forest Cake Bismark. The Merry Punch had a fresh light berry taste & not as sugar laden as traditional types), Eggnog has a marshmallow topping with eggnog custard inside & Black Forest Cake is delightfully as you would imagine with those toppings! The lattes with almond milk settled much lighter in my tummy than dairy and had the perfect flavour mix of coffee. Not the first nor the last time I'll be here ~ until next time! The pumpkin spice doughnut had a lasting taste to it, not very happy about that. The apple bacon on the other hand was not half bad. I just wish the store made it more clear that there was bacon on top.

Lucky's is solid! The donuts scene is taken shape in Vancouver, led by Lucky's. The brioche style is particularly nice -chewy texture with exciting flavor fillings. The lemon meringue is sufficiently tart and the whipped cream is light. Very yummy. Still the plain glazed is my favorite. Price varies from $3 to just under $4. It is a little pricey for Vancouver. Tip: Order the bakers dozen for $30ish. The variety is all pretty good and you save a little bit too for 13 donuts. Ambience: Inside the lobby of the Terasen building, this joint is classy enough to bring clients and business acquaintances. The Parallel 49 coffee is quite popular too. For takeout the individual boxing of a donut is over the top - but I like it! Bring one for your sweetheart or your boss to score brownie points. Overall: 4 stars. Addiction factor: pushing 5 stars.

    Old fashioned chocolate SO GOOOOOOD

Their chocolate old fashioned is my fave doughnut in Van. Closely followed by either a key like stuffie or chocolate glazed yeast doughnut from cartems. Lucky's is bombbbbbb

I have had way better donuts before. My firm had an event and we ordered donuts for lots of people (not sure for how many people). We must have pre-ordered them. I can't see how one location would be able to have that many in-store at any given time without it being preordered. So, I had the pistachio donut and that was ok. I found the donut very doughy. Meaning not fluffy at all. I went for seconds and I also got the lemon meringue donut. It was overly sweet but the filling was very far in the corner/edge of the donut. Basically the donut was not filled properly. Also the marshmallow tasted very funny. Not good at all. It became gross.

The first time I tried the salted caramel cake donut, I think I had a moment where I blanked out. This donut is SO incredibly tasty!! It was not oily tasting or dry at all and the cake stayed very moist and soft (even if I had one to eat later in the day). It's not overly sweet and there's just the right amount of topping. I've also tried the a few other donuts including the salted caramel chocolate (which I haven't seen in a while) and I think that one is my favourite. I love how the cake donuts have a bit of crunchy bit on the bottom. The yeast donuts are also fantastic though the cake ones are my fav.

At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!

I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. Every pastry in the case looked beautiful and tempting, making it nearly impossible to choose. The coffee, though--absolutely perfect. Smooth, balanced, and exactly what you want on a crisp morning adventure. Goldie's felt like one of those special finds you don't plan for but remember long after. I was in need of a pick me up while visiting the Gastown Steam Clock and figured I'd grab a donut from Lee's which is right across the street. There is an overwhelming amount of unique flavors and all of which I would have loved to try. I opted for the matcha and German chocolate donut and wow! I had no idea Canada was known for donuts but I can now understand why. The donuts are super light and airy which I prefer. The reason I don't care for donuts at least in the US is because they're always so dense but it was the complete opposite here. The donuts at Lee's also had a nice crispiness on the outside which added a nice texture. They are also not overly sweet and had great flavor! I especially love the location of this shop because you can do some souvenir shopping on this street and get your pictures of the steam clock. Had I known about this place earlier in my trip I would have loved to come back a second time but at least now I know for the next time that I visit Vancouver. I was meeting a friend here yesterday who's visiting from California, and when deciding on a meeting place, we realized a bunch of the Gastown coffee roaster places were closed on Sunday, so I mentioned Breka , knowing it was opened 24/7. (LOVE this!). Plus, this site is close to Waterfront Station, and my friend had a busy day planned, taking the Seabus to N.Van and doing a lot of sightseeing. So this Breka was perfect. I was there early at 10 am-ish, and from the outset, I was impressed: exposed brick wall, long counter and display case, fully stocked with the most beautiful pastries and tarts and cakes, and lovely looking sandwiches, too....Just lovely. I ordered a tea from the guy taking the orders. At the check-out, the woman working the cashier was the most unfriendly, aloof person I have ever encountered at a Breka. She was downright dour. Never looked up, never smiled, said I owed X for the tea I ordered, gave me a receipt and said I was "number 3", no "thank you" (despite my saying thanks!), nothing. She looked really unhappy and bothered to be there. (I sat at a nearby table, waiting for my number to be called. I saw her interactions with all the people behind me - and there were quite a few, as it got suddenly busy in the cafe. She was cold and unfriendly to everyone in line as she rang them all up. These are mostly tourists! Why have a dour, borderline-hostile woman at the check-out counter of a busy cafe in a touristy part of our city? I just don't get it). Anyhow, I waited 10 minutes to hear my number called, but I never heard it. I walked up to the take-out area and there was my tea, on a receipt that said "number 3". Did they call out my number? I honestly don't know. I was seated at a table a few feet from the area and listening for my number and I didn't hear it called. I was not impressed with this set-up. Not at all. My friend arrived and got a chocolate concoction which looked amazing, and he loved it, so there's that. I still love Brekas but I probably won't return to this site. Between the cold experience at the cash and the prolonged waiting for my order (a cup of tea!), and not being sure if my order number was ever called, it just all left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
