Secondly, the apple slices inside are large, but sliced thinly, so it was easy to bite into. I would have appreciated a touch more salt in this donut to help bring out all of it's flavors. Also, it seemed like this donut was only glazed on top. I personally prefer the whole donut to be glazed. Staff were friendly and patient as I was deciding what to get.

The donut itself is soft and fluffy, the filling is nice and creamy, and the crackly caramelized sugar on top gives you that classic crème brûlée experience. It's good, but for me, it wasn't quite the type of donut that all the hype made it out to be. The other flavours were enjoyable; I do wish they were a little more innovative. It feels like there's room to be a bit more creative with the menu. One other thing was how quickly they "sell out." Maybe they genuinely do, but it almost feels like they simply make a very limited quantity each day to create that sense of demand. The location also doesn't do them any favours. Parking is difficult, it's right along a busy road, and it's not exactly the kind of place you casually stop at. Overall, the donuts are good quality, especially the crème brûlée, but I personally don't think they're worth going out of your way for.

It was crunchy, which did not go well with the pillowy soft doughnut. I peeled the entire top off, but enjoyed the vanilla filling. Although I didn't like this doughnut, I could tell it was freshly baked and I would return to try their other flavours. There was only 1 woman working in the cafe and she was so friendly. The interior is aesthetically pleasing and seating is comfortable. I went early on a weekday morning so I was able to find street parking, however finding parking could be challenging, especially on the weekend.

Staff is always pleasant and helpful . The parking lot is terrible since the mall redid the layout and the addition of the new No Frills which is in the same corner as the bakery . Of course this has nothing to do with the bakery itself and just a note to self . I always pop in for fresh pastries when we have company coming over and everyone comments on how delicious they are . I'll go on record sayig these are the best donuts in BC hands down! If you go early enough you can pick up a dozen for 15$ and they will still be hot. The cake base is nothing short of magical and then choose your toppers as you wish. My personal favourite is the pink with sprinklers. Store owners are delightful and the shop is filled with what I'm sure is a small fortune of collectibles and figurines from all ages. Give them a go if you haven't yet! Mange!

I really appreciated how they accommodated my friend's alternative milk request and offered to add more matcha and strawberry while going light on the latte milk - great customer service! The raspberry vanilla donut was soft, airy and light in the dough and the filling wasn't overly sweet and had a great raspberry filling with real vanilla bean custard on top - delicious! It reminds me of Mello donuts. For two drinks and two donuts it came out to $24 including tax plus tips, which is a decent price point. Delicious light donuts, which is dangerous. Enter Goldie's Donuts & Bakery, with a new location in Metro Vancouver on Fraser St near King Edward Ave. There are other locations around Metro Vancouver & soon there'll be 4 Goldie's in total. This donut shop is spacious & comfortable - a great place to chill out at. It was quite busy when I went in & so the servers seemed a bit stretched. It was my first go at trying Goldie's donuts - but to be honest I found them to be - just ok. I'm going to need to go back & try some more. In comparison - Mello & Lucky's donut shops are definitely top notch in town. If you haven't tried the donuts at those spots, what are you waiting for!? The jury is still out on - best donuts in Metro Vancouver, but I know my two top favourites. What are yours?
