He has always been exceptionally thorough in both his work and his explanation of services. We have been %100 satisfied. On our last job, we called Mike for a blown head unit stereo receiver that powered essentially all of the television and audio in our home. He offered an appointment the next day to do the work. When he showed up, he assessed our AV situation, disconnected the receiver and opened the box for the new $1000 unit we had agreed upon to replace it. Shortly after that Mike discovered that there was a surge protector in place that neither of us was aware of. He reset it and most of the AV system came back on line. At this point Mike could have VERY easily moved forward with his work never telling me that the fix was as simple as a reset on the surge protector. The "blown" head unit was presumably still entirely healthy. Instead he called his supplier who gave him assurances that the new unit he had already unboxed could "possibly " be resold despite breaking all of its manufacturer seals and he informed me of his diagnosis. In the end I decided to upgrade to the new unit anyway, replacing a 12 year old piece of equipment, but I was really impressed with the business ethics that Mike displayed. It is often easier to do the more profitable and quicker thing for a client/customer/patient/etc., but taking the time and potential financial hit to do the RIGHT thing will earn my business again in the future.

This is a follow-up to my earlier review noting how responsive Brian was to my request for a quote…read moreto replace my 8 existing SDI video surveillance cameras with new HD-TVI cameras. Yesterday afternoon Brian performed the work and I could not be happier with the outcome. The camera replacements were not as straight forward as I had described. I had used silicon sealant around the base plates of my existing cameras which made their removal a bit tougher. The new cameras, although more technically advanced, were a lesser build quality then the existing cameras which added a bit of effort to their installation as well as their having shorter connect cable lengths. And, to top things off, the ambient temperature at my home hit 114 degrees during the installation. Brian made no complaints about the work or its taking longer than either of us anticipated but even offered to help me with some connection problems I was having with my new DVR as well as offering to assist me with a problem I was having with the system's app. I was not about to add any more work to his visit. And, Brian is simply really a nice guy. Hire him, you can't go wrong!

I had a fairly annoying request when I reached out to Ovation AV; I had an existing TV that I wanted removed, have that TV placed into the box for the NEW TV, move the mount position on the new TV so it hangs lower, and hang up the new TV on the existing mount. They were able to come out within 2 days of me making the request for quotes on Yelp. Matt and Joe were both super friendly when they came in, offered to wear the booties that keep the house clean (which I declined), and got right to work. The entire process took a little over an hour. The old TV didn't quite fit in the styrofoam from the new TV's box, so the two of them spent some time cutting it down to size! On top of that, they ensured they vacuumed up the little pieces that inevitably get created when you touch styrofoam. On top of all that work, they came in at a super reasonable price for two people doing over an hour of work.
