Not the real Southern style, but what do you expect in Canada? The homemade sauces are great. The staff was very nice and let me try all five sauces to see - I didn't really want blueberry BBQ but just had to experience that flavour for myself. (Note proper Canadian spelling of "flavour.") Went with: * Pork ribs - A little overcooked, not falling off the bone. I know it's hard to get the pork to fall off, but two of the six ribs kinda worked so they're close. * Sweet n spicy sauce - Really nice BBQ sauce flavour. I recommend it. The hot sauce is just normal Tabasco style, not BBQ. * Potato salad - I like the idea, but some of those potato chunks were undercooked. Should all be smooth and crushy in my mouth, not crisp. * Chili - Wow, that's meaty. Really great stuff, interesting flavour. 5 stars. Hunting for a place on Yelp, this stop popped up. So many good reviews, newly remodeled with good…read morefood.. why not. However, the answer is not why, but why not? So so many answers--- Let's start with the good...there's plenty of parking. The bathrooms are numerous and clean. The young man was kind when seating us. Next the almost good? The whiskey bbq burger- came out hot, but the bacon wasn't crispy, was stringy and undercooked. Waiting for my digestive system to process this later to see how it comes through.. Now with the mediocre- nachos. Should have been hotter- chicken probably leftover chicken? Best part the crispy cheese cooked onto the paper. And on to the bad... let's begin with a 30 minute wait for the food. We asked at 26 minutes where things were and why it was taking so long--4 minutes later 2 of the dishes were brought out. My egg was fine but potatoes were cold and the bacon disgustingly cold & flaccid--even worse than in the burger mentioned above. I sent them back-the potatoes were nuked and hot but the bacon still limp, sad and disgusting. The burger came out with the reheated egg dish and was ok.. The best part? The sign directing us to Trueman blueberry farm ice cream which we visited after our meal since we were hungry. Now THAT was amazing and a place you can't miss!
