This was a find, cozy and quaint, serving good coffee and a nice but small selection of treats. We were on our way to the Hopewell Rocks, when we found ourselves driving through Hillsboro. This spot was worthy of the stop. We ordered drinks - I got a chai latte just to be different. These folks are famous for their cinnamon buns, and we lucked into one fresh out of the oven. Delicious! The hubby got a cookie with a fudge filling which was also good. I would recommend this place. read more

Great food. If you're in Hillsboro, don't forget to stop by. The owners are super nice and the place is spotless.

Fantastic southwest scramble, coffees, bread pudding... Check out my pictures of the menu as well as what I ended up ordering. The service was excellent. Everything I tried was delicious. This was quite the find off the beaten path for my mom and I and we really enjoyed our breakfast here. read more

If you go to Hopewell Rocks in the morning for low tide, and want to go back later for high tide (or vice versa), this is a great place to have lunch in the interim. Very good grilled cheese sandwiches and some of the best seafood chowder we've had. Pleasant outdoor seating, prompt and friendly service. The railway museum down the street is also worth a visit if you're into trains. read more

Vacationed near the Hopewell rocks and found this restaurant further down 114. Delicious food, reasonable prices, amazing staff, great ambiance and all around one of our favorites. We loved it so much we went back three times, both breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend. read more

Cute spot to stop at when in New Brunswick - on the main road to the Hopewell Rocks (Flowerpots) and Fundy Bay. The seafood chowder had a nice kick to it and they have vegan and gluten free options. They make a lot of their own sauces. Staff was nice, but things tend to run on a slower pace here so make sure you're not in a rush. It was very noisy when they were doing the dishes - the dishwasher is behind the counter in the dining area vs in kitchen. Ruined the ambiance but otherwise food was good. read more

A little gem in Hillsboro! We stopped in to get some lunch and our little group left 100% satisfied and ready to hit the road in good spirits. The indoor space is bright and airy feeling, with local artisans pottery and art available for purchase. There is also a lovely covered patio out front, which unfortunately for us was full. Everyone in our group of five enjoyed and fully devoured their food. The chowder was delectable, as was the curried lentil soup and portion size was generous. The garlic, cheesy naan was a table fave, burgers and adult grilled cheese, even the spinach side-salad (house salad) was way above average in presentation, freshness and taste. The service was reasonably fast considering how busy it was and very friendly. It was definitely pricier than average, but for us it was absolutely worth it. Price was totally in line with quality. Last but not least, the freshly baked cinnamon rolls were to die for. The best place we have eaten so far on our two week tour of the Maritimes. read more

On our way back from hopewell rocks we decided to stop at this beautiful cafe to grab a cup of coffee and some snacks. This cafe looks pretty from outside and even from inside with subtle interior. So we ordered: Cinnamon latte and peppermint latte: Well we liked peppermint latte much as it was more flavourful than cinnamon latte. In snacks, we ordered chicken panini and chicken shawarma which kind of gave us a mixed response. Well, we loved the chicken panini, it was mouthwatering and we thoroughly enjoyed the panini. On the other hand, shawarma was bland and tasteless which was quite disappointing. Then we ordered cinnamon bun for dessert, which was also average. Rating: Ambience: 4.5/5 Taste: 3.5/5 Value for money: 3.5/5 Portion: 4/5 read more

This is the absolute best! We came back for breakfast after having coffee and a sticky bun. I had eggs but my husband had " Sticky bun french toast"!! Oh my!! They are so good! They have wonderful specials, very clean restaurant, and the owners are lovely. All of their foods are fresh and grown on their farm. They serve grassfed beef and fresh local Seafood. The owner is a potter and has lovely things for sale in the restaurant as well as gluten free foods for take out and specialty coffees. Joe made the live edge tables that are resin center. Very very cool that he made them himself. We only were patrons for two days while visiting but felt they were family. Do not miss this place while visiting Fundy Rocks or New Brunswick. We stopped here after visiting the Hopewell Rocks. We were so hungry, but were looking for freshly made and delicious tasting food. This place fit the bill! My husband and I had the power bowels (Thai and Mexican) with falafel. They were amazing and just the sort of thing we needed after being on the road for a week. Our daughter had the lentil curry soup and falafel wrap. She said both were delicious and spent the meal lamenting the fact that we don't live close enough to this restaurant to eat there everyday! Our older son had the adult grilled cheese and our younger son had the meatball sandwich, which is an interesting twist on the meatball subs he is used to. It was made with cheddar, bbq sauce, onions and peppers and was so good. For dessert we had their specialty- the cinnamon buns, which were AMAZING! They were served warm with cream cheese frosting and melted in our mouths. My daughter had the cinnamon bun bread pudding, which was also delicious. The restaurant itself is clean and cute. We sat outside on the porch because we had our dog. The porch is great too as it has a wall of sun flowers, which not only provided a beautiful view, but also added to the homey ambiance. Service was friendly and fast. Because everything was so good, we kept ordering more things and the waitress was very patient and friendly. Overall, this place is great and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. I kept wanting to take photos of the food, but everything was so good, I forgot. I managed to get a shot of my daughter's bread pudding before she finished it though. read more

Awesome seafood chowder! Very nice ambience and wait staff. Enjoyed very much. Outside seating too. Highly recommend.

Charming, cozy cafe on the way to Hopewell Rocks. This is a good bet for a solid meal in a small town. Lots of casual fare like paninis but we splurged on a seafood linguine ($28) and a lobster Caesar salad ($25). Both were delicious, particularly the salad which had nice big chunks of lobster and was very light and refreshing. Both dishes came with two pieces of toasted bread. read more

This was one of the first places my husband and I ate at during our trip to Canada. Everything was amazing! We had an espresso and a cappuccino to start - so good. We then shared a cinnamon bun and a bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. Very cute place! read more

Fantastic breakfast, lunch and dessert here! My wife and I suffered through a Cora's earlier in the morning (too many terrifying things to mention) and stumbled upon this gem on the way to the Bay of Fundy. These folks are known for their cinnamon rolls and it's not difficult to see why - they're homemade and delicious... so much so that the wife bought two and then had to go back to buy four more for the rest of the vacation. The wife had a Caesar salad and I had a pulled pork panini and they were executed perfectly. The wife had a cappuccino and both the espresso and home made whipped cream were comparable to real Italian coffee we've had. Knowing we had a few more hours to drive, we decided to splurge on dessert and both the peanut butter iceberg and strawberry shortcake were delectable. If you're in the area, this is where you want to eat!! read more

Best eating experience yet on our trip. Small little cafe with cute art and pottery for sell. The famous cinnamon roll runs out b/c they only make enough so that it's fresh daily. I like the seafood chowder here the best, and I get it everywhere we go. The huge cheddar biscuit it comes with was the cherry on top! Hubs got a Mediterranean grass fed chicken panini. It was amazing. But I don't care, B/c the chowder/biscuit stole the show. We also got the bread pudding dessert, which is made from The cinnamon roll. It was good, but I would skip it next time for more biscuit or chowder:) read more

Can't say enough good things about this charming little cafe. We stayed the night in Hillsborough while exploring the Hopewell Rocks and this place was such a gem! I had read someone's review about it being the best breakfast of their life and thought there was no way it could be that good but it actually was. The pancakes were especially memorable as they were a cross between pancake and crepe - unlike anything I've ever had before. I loved how everything was local or made in house. Awesome beverage selection as well and wonderful service. read more

I was so hoping this would be better than it actually was. The cafe is super cute with its patio seating and had some yummy looking stuff in the bakery fridge. But when it came down to it, there was only one available option for me (dairy free and vegetarian) to eat and it really didn't taste that good (bland chickpea wrap). I think this place needs to step up their menu options, though they may not have much incentive since they don't have a lot of competition in the area for cafe-style business. It's planted in the middle of a sleepy, little coastal town that seems like its out of another era, not without its charm. read more

So many fun delicious options if your going to the bay of fundy stop by no matter what. It's delicious you will not regret the amazing panini's and coffee!!!!! read more

A must stop when traveling through Hillsborough. We had dinner here mid June 2018 and loved everything we had. The seafood chowder is excellent. Chock full of seafood in a very flavorful broth with such the right amount of cream. The red lentil curry soup was also excellent. We sampled the sandwiches and had a seafood special. All were excellent. I also highly recommend any of the special coffee drinks. We had the Hillsborough Fog and the Dirty Chai and loved both. read more

Guys. You gotta go here. It's really good. Like really really. The cinnamon buns are NO JOKE. And the seafood chowder? Oh the seafood chowder! It is...a life changing experience. On a road trip across Canada, all the way from Vancouver, this was one of my top 5 best meals. It's quaint, it's cute, it's made with love. There's a selection of pottery that's sold there as well, I bought a bowl and I love thinking about that day, and that soul warming meal, whenever I use it. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area. read more

Read such good reviews and came for a break from the rocks. Very avg food and not cheap. The chicken was all boiled out so no flavour. The much tales about cold coffee was just OK. The sangria was just fine. The iced tea was good. Would not say it's a must go. read more

This was such a great surprise. The description doesn't mention dinner, but we had a great meal there this evening. My wife's seafood chowder tasted as if the shrimp had come fresh from the water. My seafood dish included lobster, scallops, and shrimp in a creamy, cheesy sauce. The cinnamon bun bread pudding we shared delighted both of us. Back tomorrow night? Yeah. read more

Great spot just outside the Hopewell Rocks Park. The soup and Mediterranean chicken sandwich were delicious and the lemonade refreshingly good. The cinnamon bun was a hit - not too sugary, but just the right amount of taste. read more

This whimsical little place is one of the best kept secrets in New Brunswick. Well, considering they have a shit ton of reviews on trip advisor, I guess it's not really much of a secret. This place is too damn awesome to be kept secret. I'm thoroughly convinced that just stepping through the door (painted a rather becoming shade of lilac) of this place could put anyone, even the bitchiest of bitches, in a festive mood. Even Ebeneezer Scrooge himself wouldn't be able to resist a rich cup of coffee from this place and one of their simply divine, homemade cinnamon rolls. This cafe is not just a coffee shop that only serves fancy coffee beverages and pastries. They have a full on menu with breakfasts, panini sandwiches, soups, salads, hot chicken sandwiches, curries, and even artesian pizzas. The menu is a bit eclectic and updated often as they are always trying out new things. For Valentine's Day they even did a special five course dinner that included majorly swank fare such as baked Brie, lobster bisque, and lemon curd tart. Not bad for a small, casual cafe located in a sleepy village south of Moncton mostly frequented by the summertime tourists who are just passing through on their way to the Bay of Fundy. I wish I could have tried the Valentine's dinner but alas, I live thousands of miles away in Louisiana. All I could do was just drool over the Facebook photos they posted. Whoever maintains their Facebook page should be given a medal or something. They take some serious food porn photos. Just the Facebook photos of their food is enough to make a shitty day for me turn suddenly bright and rosy, and a whole lotta awesome. When I did have the privilege of stopping by this fine little cafe it was back in the late summer of 2014. We were en route to check out the tides at The Bay of Fundy. We had to be hasty because we were trying to make a tour. If I had ordered a full on meal my hubby probably would have had a conniption fit. I did however, have the time to enjoy a coffee and one of their absofreakinglutely delicious cinnamon rolls. These cinnamon rolls live up to the internet hype. They are truly the cat's meow of all cinnamon rolls. I'm actually not that hot on cinnamon rolls in general, but it's only because before I came here I had only had crap cinnamon rolls like at Cinnabon that were nothing but a hot, sticky, overly sweet mess of lard and waxy, gnarly icing. The cinnamon rolls at Cinnamon Soul are completely homemade and had just emerged from the oven. They were soft and fluffy, like eating a cinnamon laced pillow pet. The icing is made from scratch as well, and it had just the right amount of sweetness. It wasn't overly sweet like some icings that wind up actually coating your teeth and making them ache with decay. The coffee was outstanding. I'm basically a coffee junkie, so as long as I can get a hearty dose of caffeine I'm usually pretty damn content, but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate a cup of genuine, badass coffee. The coffee here was just that. It reminded me of drinking Cafe Americano instead of just your average, everyday cup of Joe. It was dark and smooth, with just a hint of espresso overtones which assisted to its richness. It was like drinking melted ebony velvet. So dark and decadent just as a coffee should be. I did not have any cream, milk, or sugar in it. In my opinion it would have been a tragedy to glop up such a finely brewed cup of coffee with such rubbish. It definitely deserves to be devoured straight up black if you can tolerate your coffee that way. Who would have thought that Hillsborough New Brunswick of all places as a Mecca for a simply grand cup of coffee? If the coffee and baked goods are this delish, Lord only knows how kick ass the real, actual food is. All I had was a coffee and a cinnamon roll, but I do know that their food items are made from scratch with locally grown and produced products. Awesomeness! The cafe itself was exceptionally clean and quiet (I was the only person there on a Tuesday morning). The vibe is festive but chill. The smell of cinnamon, rich curries, and Madagascar vanilla filled the air. Mmmmm. It's heaven! The decor reminded me of Shabby chic-meets-Frida Kahlo-meets Maritime Province. If you're an artsy-fartsy type, they sell local artwork such as pottery by the fabulous Wendy Johnston. Her quirky, contemporary designs totally fit the vibe of this place. If I lived in Hillsborough or even Moncton, I would hang out here all the time. I would sit in the corner with my ipad sipping their delectable coffee until they boot me out. If you're on your way to the Bay of Fundy definitely make a stop at Cinnamon Soul. Don't pass this place up. If you're hard pressed for time you can always get a coffee and a cinnamon roll to go. You definitely won't regret it and the Hopewell Rocks aren't going anywhere. read more

Great little quaint and cozy family run café. Food is amazing, good coffee, yummy cinnamon buns. Definitely the best place in Hillsborough for tasty homemade eats! Only downside is they don't serve their yummy breakfast all day, only till 11am, and no drip coffee refills. Try the breakfast sausage, best I've had anywhere! Wow! What a really nice surprise! A small place in a small town we weren't sure what to expect. But they had us when we saw they had cinnamon rolls. They were crazy good--wish we had taken some to go for the next few days. Coffee was good. BUT--the highlight was the SEAFOOD CHOWDER! As Kat M mentions below, it is a life changing experience!
