One of our favorite wineries, please ask for Miguel or Scott to take care of you. They are both friendly and knowledgeable. All the wines are delicious and gorgeous atmosphere. We are a big fan of Napa red wine

What a great experience....trying a bunch of different Duckhorn wines and vintages...Highly recommend them...grounds are beautiful. The tasting (food pairing), they serve...definitely needs work for what you are paying for a private tasting.

Such an amazing experience at this winery!! I would highly recommend. We had scheduled a tasting. We started with a tasting as soon as we entered and then were seated outside. The ambience was amazing and the outdoor seating area was perfect. I just recently started enjoying red wine and was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed most of them. Our host was so friendly and knowledgeable. I already want to go back!

This is one of the best wine tastings I've ever had the pleasure to attend. Delicious wines, great server and a beautiful setting. We were a party of 4 and our friends were stuck in traffic, but the hosts were gracious and let us enjoy wine while waiting. Our charcuterie board was a nice addition, with cheese we'd never tried before. We never felt rushed to leave and had a great day!

This was my first time at Duckhorn and probably the best wine tasting experience I've ever, well, experienced. Not only was the view and atmosphere beautiful but Tyler our sommelier was fantastic. We learned a lot about the wine varieties and different labels under the Duckhorn name. The next time I'm in Napa I will make sure to visit here again.

We arrived here in mid August when everything is in bloom and there's lots of low hanging fruit sitting on the vines achieving varasion. We headed in to the main house, which is their primary tasting room and was built just within the last 20 years. We were handed a glass of brut rosé and led to our tasting table. You can do a walk-in, but you take your chances because if they are filled, you will be turned away. Our wine guide Chris, was exceptionally knowledgeable as I peppered him with questions concerning both the wine and the winery. His passionate hospitality really completed our experience. For that matter, it seems like all the staff members are well-versed and experienced in this profession. Merlot is something that is done exceptionally well here in case you're Merlot fan. Definitely a winery that should be on your radar if you appreciate fine wines from the area. Check out the 10 enticing photographs/video below.

Amazing wine, amazing service, gorgeous grounds. This was my first time at Duckhorn (although I've had their wine before) and it blew me away. Our wine specialist was so accommodating and really knew the history and was super sweet, I think her name was Rachael? Anywho, if you're coming up to the napa valley this place should 100% be on your list.

It's been over a decade since I've had the pleasure of visiting the Napa Valley area and to begin my recent return with a tasting at Duckhorn Vineyards was a smart call. The main house is a classical Victorian style outfitted with a modern wine showcase room, a spacious tasting lounge & bar, and wrap-around porch with breathtaking views of the western mountains. Throughout the building, you'll enjoy various etchings and prints of ducks, menus from White House luncheons, a company store and a grand mural of a nature scene from a nearby pond. I wish to thank Kay M. and Andie M. for setting up our tasting! We could not have asked for a better experience!! Upon entering, Tony greeted our party and immediately made us feel at home. We began with a sparkling rosé. Our party of 3 then proceeded to the side porch, to be served by Jessica. She was both approachable and knowledgeable about Duckhorn's product and history. As a server, I was also impressed at how well Jessica mingled between all of her assigned tasting tables, assuring all of her guests felt attended. We tasted 2 Merlots, 2 Cabernets and a bonus wine, as well as a delightful charcuterie plate. I've worked in restaurants for decades- in Lexington, KY, Savannah, GA, San Jose, CA and now Las Vegas, and Duckhorn has always been a part of the wine list of those restaurants. It's no surprise that Duckhorn Vineyards puts on such a professional, entertaining and pleasurable experience for its visitors: their dedication to being world-class is obvious to anyone who's enjoyed their wine, and that ethos has translated to their on-site tasting experience. Definitely visit Duckhorn Winery if you plan to visit Napa.

Duckhorn vineyards in Napa county California. Is a beautiful picturesque winery in the foothills of the Palisades Mountains. I was taking my grandma on a wine tour of California and she wanted to check out Napa and Sonoma. The wine was decent. The charcuterie board was ok. The person yapping at us about the wine was a little bit rude. I studied hospitality management including food and beverage operations. When I asked if we would be given separate glasses for each wine vs one glass for four different ones during our tasting (I learned you should be given a different glass for each wine) she snapped at me (she even got a few her facts wrong) but people are people and at the end of the day the wine was good and my grandmother enjoyed herself.

I've been meaning to do this for a very long time. And I'm glad, to take some time out to do it today. I also had Reservations here, on the 3rd day of January. I'm in Napa again today. It feels good to be back in Wine Country. It's kinda raining right now. I'm here at Duckhorn Vineyards this afternoon. I specifically picked-out this Vineyard. It's a very nice Vineyard. This is how I'm bringing in the New Year 2026. I'm not going to lie. It's been exactly 468 days since I had any Alcohol beverage. So I feel like I deserve this Drank. Toast to new achievements, and new memories. Today's focus, is Red's. They're famous for Red Wine. They got a great selection, including Merlot. And I appreciate, them bringing out some complimentary Cheese, and Apricot. It is a beautiful day, for a Wine Tasting, it was spectacular. They got some good people working here, and everybody is so knowledgeable, professional, they know everything about the product, and so skilled Sommelier. And I like how they value, Holidays. My favorite Bottle, was probably their high-end and the exclusive Bottle named, The Discussion. It's a very intriguing, name. This is one of the better Wines I had in this Region. This is a must, when in Napa. I would give this 5 stars out of 5 stars. I enjoyed my time here, and had some fun today.

We had a lovely experience at Duckhorn! It's a bit out of the way from downtown St. Helena which made it quiet and peaceful. Thomas was our server and he was excellent. Clearly very knowledgeable about the wines and the vineyard, plus he seemed genuinely excited about the wines they were serving. In addition to the five sample wines for a tasting, Duckhorn also provides breadsticks to nibble on. Their reds are fantastic - both the cabs and the merlots.

Around about the turn of the 21st Century; someone gave me a five-year old bottle of Duckhorn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon for my birthday.  Shortly thereafter, I invited a friend over to my Man Cave, ordered one of my favorite pizzas, and my friend and I shared both the pizza and the wine.  Before drinking it that first time, I decanted the Duckhorn Cabernet for 8 hours.   Subsequently, I worked out by trial and error that (for me) when drinking Duckhorn Cabernet decanting for several hours prior is required - unless the wine is 9 years old or older.  Ever since I drank that first bottle of Duckhorn, I've been an ardent fan.  Duckhorn's Cabernet are consistently excellent, and I always try to have a couple of bottles on hand for special (and not so special) occasions. The next time I was in their neighborhood, I made a tasting appointment.  When we arrived for our tasting we were escorted to our table outside the main building on the beautiful Duckhorn Vineyards.  The sommelier who took care of us that day was exceptional.  She spent time telling us in detail about all the wines they were pouring that day; she event offered us several tastes of wines that were not on the regular tasting menu.  Unfortunately, I hadn't anticipated how much we'd enjoy this tasting visit, so the only way we could take advantage of the offered extra tastings was to cancel our next appointment. Tip: If you're a fan of big, complex reds, I strongly suggest that you don't schedule a tasting appointment afterwards that's too close to yoour appointment here; you'll be much happier if you allow sufficient time here first. To sum it all up, the grounds and interior sitting areas of Duckhorn Vineyards are beautiful, and their wines (especially their signature Cabernet) are among the best available in wine country.  I strongly suggest that you take the time to get acquainted with Duckhorn the next time you find yourself in their neighborhood. ======================================================= Note: According to Wikepedia, the company that owns Duckhorn (The Duckhorn Portfolio Inc), owned ten wineries (under various different names) as of 2021.  Their portfolio includes: Duckhorn Vineyards: Napa Valley red and white wine Decoy: varietal and blended red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines Paraduxx: Napa Valley blended red, white, and rosé Goldeneye: Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, rosé, and sparkling Migration: red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines from the Russian River Valley, Santa Maria Valley, and other locations. Canvasback: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Riesling, and rosé from Washington State

Can I bring a small dog for a wine tasting?

Their website says only service animals. I've been a member there since 2009 & never seen one. I'd call them to check. There are many other dog friendly wineries in the valley.

My wife is allergic to alcohol, but we are visiting as a couple, can we do walk-in to have a glass of wine and purchase? and can I do a wine tour (with my wife being a company but not drinking?

Most of the wineries in Napa will allow it. Just call Duckhorn rather than booking online.

Are kids welcome on winery while adults do wine tasting?

No. No one under 21 is allowed on the property.

When visiting Duckhorn, is it possible to request a particular server, if available, to bring our tastings and provide information about the wines being tasted?

I would think you could mention it in your reservation and again when you check in when you get there. We never have done that, we usually ask for a specific table, which is usually accommodated.

Does Duckhorn allow outside food (i.e. picnics)?

Thank you so much for your interest in Duckhorn Vineyards, we hope you have a great time in Napa Valley. We do not have a picnicking permit, and we do not allow outside foods. We do offer a cheese and salami plate or a jar of mixed nuts that you… Read more

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." She was engaging, personable, and very informative. My husband and I would definitely like to return to return to experience the dinner menu! We and our guests had the following dishes: Artichoke appetizer Arbororio Biscuits & Gravy Two Cheeseburgers Three Bloody Mary's Farmstead Margarita When they found out it was our anniversary celebration, the house sent over four glasses of complimentary champagne and a dish of dessert -- again, very sweet and kind of them I now understand why so many crowds flock to this restaurant! It's well worth the wait! If you have not experienced a meal there, you must definitely go now!

From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.

I came across the Legacy Cave Tour, which is adults-only and offers a lower fee for non-drinkers, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the online booking didn't work for me, so I had to call to make the reservation. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk gave me a bit of a weird vibe. After looking up our reservation, she said, "Oh, indeed you do have a reservation." It just felt like an odd response, like... why wouldn't we? is it because we're brown? We arrived a little early, so we spent some time browsing the gift shop upstairs. That's where we met our guide, Will, who was lovely, friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, and he asked if we'd been given a birthday sticker. Apparently they offer special occasion stickers at the front, which the check-in woman never mentioned, but Will made sure we got one, which was a nice touch. The tour itself was a small group, which I really liked. We went into the cave, and for those drinking, the tour included 3 wines. One thing I do wish they offered: for non-drinkers, it would be nice to have something like grape juice or a non-alcoholic option during the tour. There were a few of us in that situation, and it felt a little odd not having anything to sip on. After the tour, we walked the grounds, which was really nice. It's free to explore the property and browse the gift shop, which makes it a pleasant stop even beyond the tour itself. My friends and I were limited in our wine knowledge and he admitted that he felt like all wine tastes the same. However, once we took our very first sip, the fruity, buttery notes completely changed our minds. She sets the image about drinking this near a pool and I immediately would get transported to her explanations. It really feels like the people here love working here which is very different from a lot of other Napa/Sonoma tasting experiences. This is a really popular winery so it does feel a bit commercial (as a guest, you are kind of on a time limit) but this place really blends the best of corporate efficiency + family run business/down to earth people. Highly recommend.

Wow. What an unforgettable experience at PEJU, especially with the VIP treatment my friends and I…read morereceived from Todd Elliott, AKA to me as wine educator and sommelier extraordinaire! I am a white wine connoisseur because of my dietary restrictions with most ingredients in red wines, especially cherries and plum, that trigger my stomach pain and headaches. I have missed enjoying red wine because of this. I was hoping and praying that when my friends who are members of PEJU planned this wine tasting treat, that my stomach and head would be fine and to my surprise, my palate, tongue, stomach and heart were pleased with the Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Fifty/Fifty, and more, including reserve reds Todd served and educated us about! I have NEVER enjoyed red wines like these I tasted at PEJU. Since the time of our outstanding wine tasting experience, I have recommended and raved about Todd and PEJU winery to friends and family who appreciate and value high quality wines and winery experiences. It felt like a vacation getaway being in the tasting room building, admiring the breathtaking stained glass art, all of the art inside and the beautiful art and nature views outside. I appreciate the PEJU staff and management team who welcomed us and were kind to us all the way to the end of our wine tasting experience when we left. This is the kind of treatment that makes us want to return. Napa is a special place for friends, family, and me, and PEJU is now an indelible memory in my Napa adventures! Todd clearly enjoys his important professional position, is passionate about wine and the wine experience, and brings so much joy to customers! I can't recommend him and PEJU enough! Todd went above and beyond to give us a VIP experience and even gave me a bag full of wine corks for my art project after I told him about this and asked for some of their wine corks we saw lined up in their wine uncorking and pouring area. Thank you, Todd!

I had a reservation for a classic tasting at PEJU at 1:30pm on a Friday, at the recommendation of…read morequite a few friends, and there were a few other parties seated at the time as well. The grounds are gorgeous inside and out, and I really enjoyed the stained glass, large open windows, and the statues and the koi pond area outside. The service was extraordinary, and I had a great time learning a bit about the different wines PEJU offers from Joseph. I tried quite a few different wines, and really liked how there are a few unique offerings here that you can't find elsewhere - I ended up getting a bottle of their Province, the Farm, and their late harvest orange muscat. PEJU is also one of the few wineries with a permit to serve food. If I had known ahead of time, I would've planned to eat here! The rilettes were super tempting, but Joseph advised that if I was planning to eat a meal afterward to stick to the chips and dip - this ended up being quite a generous portion as well, and I really enjoyed the goat cheese truffle dip alongside the wine tasting :) Overall, PEJU is definitely a beautiful winery to visit with excellent service, and I'll definitely be back!
