As a long time resident of Mamaroneck, I've been hoping for the day when we'd get a freshly made donut place. When I heard Duck Donuts was opening, I was extremely excited, but was wary about the lack of a chocolate donut. I ordered two donuts, one with chocolate icing, one with lemon. The box they came in was incredibly hot due to the donuts being freshly made, which also meant that the icing was melting off the second it touched the donut. The lemon icing was good, despite being on an undercooked donut. The melted icing soaked into the donut making it fairly soggy, as well as a humongous mess to eat. I opted for a knife and fork approach which kind of undermines the convenience of a donut. The chocolate donut was also undercooked as is the fault of a quick made to order establishment, so while not great, I understood why. I don't think this place is bad by any means but I think I'll wait to come back in hopes of having a better experience. read more

I am thrilled that this came to town, and that it's worth the hype! We went on the Sunday of opening weekend. We waited for a half hour, but it wasn't bad because the staff was great. They handed out menus on line, brought around warm cinnamon donut samples a few times, and were just really warm and kind. The inside is small, but is really cute. The first time I went to Duck Donuts is a experience i'll never forget. When I went it wasn't too long of a line but there were some things to look at to keep you interested. On some shelf's I saw merchandise and a bucket with little donut squishes with either chocolate or strawberry frosting on top with rainbow sprinkles. Once you get further up the line there's a glass barrier, behind it is where the staff makes the donuts so yuh can see how donuts are made. I think that, that is really cool.
