Very sweet and helpful staff! Prices are inexpensive and baked goods are delicious. Huge selection. Worth stopping at!

Very nice bakery. Doughnuts, muffins and cupcakes are good. Cakes are good most of the time. Bear cookies and petite fors are spectacular.

Tried to go to Topps Bakery. After all these years and multiple owners the shelves are empty . The place is dark. Good bye Topps. Sal E. New Rochelle The 5 stars are because of the memories and the greatness that Topps was. read more

Honestly, these are the worst butter cookies I've ever had. They had no flavor to them, no butter. The jelly on the inside was gross. The place was dirty. I had a cookie inside and all I kept thinking about how there was food all over the floor. read more

Be careful -- don't expect your order to be delivered. I live on the West Coast and wanted a cake for my granddaugher in Bronxville. The cake I ordered wasn't delivered on the date we had specified; they gave me several unconvincing reasons for their failure when I called to ask why? We made arrangements to have it delivered four days later, but it wasn't. We have disputed the $50 charge ($40 cake, $10 delivery). read more

For years I've heard rave reviews on this bakery. I'm never really over near Bronxville but today I was searching for carrot cake. I heard that the topps carrot cake was pretty great. Off I went. I grabbed some jelly donuts, black and white cookies, s carrot cake and I noticed these slices of lemon buttercream cake. I'm here today to tell the world that 1. This is a great bakery. 2. That's lemon buttercream cake was DEVINE! I take my lemon treats very seriously and this is one not to miss. Great job! Also, service was attentive and charming by two young women behind the counter. For the life of me can not understand the 3.5 stars here on Yelp'!!! read more

Always loved their jelly donuts, stopped in today to grab one and it was horrible hard, crunchy, greasy stay away from the jelly donuts

This bakery should be a 4 star, but service was poor. Stopped in for the first time in search of some sweet treats. I ordered several cake slices, a few cupcakes, apple turnovers and black and white mini cakes. The black and white cakes were amazing, like a black and white cookie, with a moist cake hiding underneath. The individual cake slices were really enjoyable with moist cake and not overly sweet icing. Just perfect. Loved the turnover and cookie too. Service was the worst part of this experience. It was Mother's Day. The one teen that served me was on her phone and seemed annoyed that we were picking out various items, and she had to pause her call. She packed everything while she was on phone, and cupcakes were smooshed in box. When we opened box, all icing was stuck to top of it. You can't put cupcakes in a pie box! She should know that! Other than that, treats were delicious. The other workers seemed very nice and professional. I'll wait next time to be served by one of them. read more

Nothing taste good here. I'm sure no real butter is being used. Instead it's oil. Everything leaves a waxy feel in your mouth after eating. Cookies and cakes all the same waxy oily residue that butter doesn't leave . Trying to save Pennie's and charging more. Terrible tasting products. read more

Baked goods are consistently excellent. Service is quick and efficient. A jewel in the community.

This is the only bakery where I buy my bread. Every loaf of bread is straight from their kitchen. Whenever I buy my multigrain loaf, I have a black and white cookie and a medium cup of coffee . Their black and white cookie is arguably the best one I've ever had in my entire life. It melts in your mouth and is quite addictive. My wife always has 2 sugar crullers with a French Vanilla coffee . Every time I'm in Bronxville, I'll always stop by Topps Bakery. read more

We bought a 6" strawberry shortcake and just got home. To my horror, the strawberries on the cake are rotten (see the photo). Absolutely disgusting. I was there years ago and remember the shortcake was lovely. I now live in Manhattan and was there today for a day trip. The cake used to have whole strawberries around the cake but now only strawberry halves in a semi circle on half the cake. The place has cheapened beyond words, the quality was so crappy I didn't recognize the same place I visited just a few years ago. It's shocking this kind of place is still around because it won't survive in NYC. Save time and frustration, and go elsewhere. read more

Good bakery, clean and consistently tasty. Service is good. Not a fan of buttercream frosting on cupcakes

Why do people give this bakery good reviews? Ordered a donut and coffee both were terrible. Donut tasted old, made with low grade Ingredients. One bite and I was done. Coffee was awful, tasted like it was sitting in the pot all day. Please don't sell dated baked goods. Clean the coffee makers or buy a better quality coffee. It's frustrating that a popular town like Bronxville lacks a quality bakery. I should know better I've been there before some time ago, the experience was similar. I keep hoping it will improve. Think I give up this time. read more

Went in specifically to try the marigolds, those adorable funky black & white cookies - which are beyond magnificent. The perfect texture and sweetness on the icing, the interior is something magical - how fantastically moist that thick center is, I do not comprehend how they do it! These are divine. They had samples of some sort of cinnamony muffin which were excellent! Lots of colorful offerings, great bakery on the main drag. read more

Topps Bakery - Thanks for nothing, Tops Bakery - Bakeries Near Me - Bronxville, New York

Topps is in a great area full of quaint shops and nice restaurants with plenty of metered street parking. The food is good but the stand out is the fresh cinnamon sugar bread which is perfect for mornings or as an ingredient in elevating your French Toast! The doughnuts are great too. There is a wow factor when it comes to those items. The staff is nice. The place is clean. They have a lot of cookie options but the cookies are not the star...so they get a 4/5. It is easy to get to Topps so it is the perfect way to surprise your partner or family. read more

Topps made 8 dozen mini cookies--pink-and-white versions of their famous black-and-white cookies--for my daughter's baby shower. We sent treat boxes to all the virtual attendees in advance of the shower, and gave out favor bags with the cookies to in-person attendees. The cookies were beautiful, delicious, arrived in perfect condition when sent across the country, and stayed fresh for well over a week! Thank you, Topps, for helping us realize our vision for this special event! read more

This bakery is not my favorite. Stopped in once and donuts were fine, maybe a little less than fine. Just meh. Much better options for baked goods in town at Chantilly. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience with this bakery. I placed an order on Thursday and given it was a short notice for the cake, the girl reassured me that it was possible and they won't have any problems. I followed up on Friday in person and received the same confirmation. On Saturday I called again and the girl said they would call me back - only the following day (Sunday) i received a call to let me now that the order cannot be fulfilled - this is extremely unprofessional to cancel an order a day before the due date after multiple follow up inquiries leaving me in tough situation to find a back-up plan. read more

I used to frequent Topps all the time. The last couple times have truly been disappointing. The girls behind the counter could care less about customer service. This makes me think management no longer cares. I would think they would train their staff. The cheese danish was overdone. Drive to Delight Bakery five minutes away. You will be much happier. read more

I stopped by this bakery only once. The store itself was quite small but they still were able to have some seating available for their customers. The staff I encountered was friendly and receptive. I tried a cheese danish which was good and tasted fresh. However, to me it didn't taste any different from danish served by other bakeries that I've been to in the past. So I cant say that I would go out of my way to return anytime soon. read more

Have enjoyed every thing I've gotten from them, especially the jelly donuts! The strawberry shortcake was a hit with my family as well.

Eh. It was fine in every way. In fairness we only had two cookies and this black and white cookie/cupcake hybrid. And it was all fine. Staff was pleasant. Everything else looked good. Bunch of different donuts. Cookies tasted like bakery cookies. But I wouldn't write home about them. I might write here about them. And did. read more

I used to frequent Topps Bakery often but had stopped coming. I came in a few weeks ago and found that they are under new management. The new owner has made many changes for the better. The decor is cheerier and much more open. He restored the tables for seating. The staff is friendly. Overall, it's a much better customer experience. They are more accommodating and accept credit cards now. For the food, the pastries are fresher. They seem to bake in smaller quantities. They may run out more quickly, but the quality is much better. I agree with other reviews about bread prices. $5.75 for a baguette is too much. It is delicious but really should not be more than $3.99 (double the grocery store price). read more

Happy Passover and Happy Easter. It's wonderful that in our melting pot that our religions mix. On that note, I went into Topps Bakery in Bronxville two days ago to purchase macaroons for my holiday. I was told, incredulously, the price of each tiny coconut macaroon was TWO DOLLARS each! I simply could not believe it! For Italian cookies their price is $10 a pound. I walked out of Topps Bakery. I called today to complain to the manager that I felt discriminated against because of my faith. That is the first time in the modern era that I felt like I was wearing a Jewish star on my chest. The manager told me, and I quote, "We serve Jews all the time." I told her that this was America and we don't brand people by their race or religion. I told her I will be filing a complaint. She told me to "Go right ahead." I feel angry and labeled because of the insensitivity if Topps Bakery in Bronxville. Do NOT shop there. I am Jewish and I am proud. My whole life as a teacher and administrator was a battle against racial and religious bigotry. To find an establishment in 2022 that is so blatantly Anti-Semitic is a blight for all of us, regardless of race or religion. read more

We've been coming here many years and have found the cakes, pastries etc; to be generally good. However for Christmas Eve we ordered a "bundt cake meltaway" which we found to be really stale. Five Star jelly donuts as well as danish. Excellent large cookies and petite fours. They decorate for every holiday and have specials for each one along with speciality candies. Wonderful bakery for pastries, muffins, bread. Their pastries are the star, in my opinion - fresh and just the right amount of sweetness. Almond rings are my favorite but I recently tried a cinnamon sugar coated muffin and it is a close second! Plus, they are reasonably priced. On the other hand, their bread is delicious, but a bit pricey. I'm not sure a loaf of sliced white bread is worth $5.75. I also have not had much luck with their cakes. Note, for anyone who has had trouble paying by credit card here in the past, they are under new ownership and the new owner has said that there are no longer credit card minimums. read more
