Running errands in Yonkers, I noticed Paris Baguette taking up a sizable portion of the H Mart strip mall. Sweet! Bright, clean and inviting esthetics. This bakery with its Parisienne seating is quite pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, as far as service goes the staff was not so inviting. No greeting or acknowledgment by staff upon entry, though a member was directly by the entrance. Kinda weird. Anyway, being my first time here, I figured out their purchasing process. Grab a tray and tongs. Choose your item. Pay at the register. I even gladly assisted this gentleman who seemed lost and needed guidance on the process. Chosen items listed in order of preference: Croissant Crisp with Nutella (Cronut) Cream Cheese Donut Pain au Chocolate Ganache Chocolate Bombolone I am not a big sweets person, but I will say when I took a bite of the Croissant Crisp it was an eyes closed, food moaning moment. Very good item. I am happy that Paris Baguette decided to lay roots in this area. Despite the uninviting, non-interactions, I will be back for the occasional treat. Hopefully the customer service will improve. 3.5 / Nov 2024

Crab bun yum

This place is beautiful! And the selection is insane! There's parking too! If i could try everything in the shop I would. But today I settled for the natas, a custard donut, pecan tart & crab bun. I don't think I've ever had anything here I didn't like. Come grab some goodies! Happy Yelping!

Choc chip muffins sugar mochi donuts and a crab meat Croquette
Eugenio L.

This is a relatively new business on 1771 Central Ave in Yonkers. I think it had its debut a few months ago. This speciality bakery café serves pastries; donuts, croquettes, baked breads; cakes; brewed coffees and teas; and grab-n-go salads and sandwiches. I walked in here on a Monday around 6:30 pm. A few patrons sitting at tables chomping'. I grabbed a box and some wax papers and went to town. I chose a crab meat croquette, 2 sugar mochi donuts and 2 chocolate chip muffins. Customer service: as I was wandering around the store looking at all of the foods being offered I was asked by one of the employee if I wanted a tong, she was hanging quite a few of them at the area where the take away boxes, the plates on top of serving trays and the wax papers were stored. Waiting at the counter to pay took awhile and there were two cashiers working. I was able to use my Apple Pay and I was on my way home with the bakery booty. I ate the crab meat croquette in the car. Which is a crispy panko donut filled with imitation crab, potato, and vegetables. It was okay but not as savory as you think it would be. The middle was watery and the veggies, I could make out some thinly sliced carrots, outnumbered the imitation crab. I barely tasted crab flavor. So when I arrived home, I gave the donuts to my two kids. When the teenager bit into the sugar mochi donut, he says, " Are these supposed to be hard?" To which I replied, "No, let me have a go at it." When I bit into this shiny, sugar coated, thin, donut, I was so surprised when i couldn't bite hard enough to break it off in my mouth. I mean it was harder and tougher than the driest piece of beef jerky. Surprisingly, not at all what I was expecting texture wise. This is unacceptable for a bakery that supposedly prides its goods on freshness, quality and a certain , "je ne sais quoi" which in French means, "I don't know what". All I can say is, I don't know what the hell went wrong when I bit into that tougher than leather donut! What a letdown. Now the other sugar mochi donut was soft & was edible thankfully, but it was totally overshadowed by the hard as a rock, inedible one. Hugely dissatisfied, especially after paying over 27$ for all the above mentioned food items. Will I be back to eat, not any time soon. But I will be back to make it known that I felt gipped for overpaying on an inedible donut and will certainly be either asking for money back or to exchange for some other "freshly prepared food item." I did not sample any coffee or cakes. But I'm turned off by this bakery at this point & I don't look forward to returning for coffee, cakes, donuts or ANYTHING for that matter! Customer service was abysmal. Come on, get it right! The only excuse I can think of is that it's a fairly new biz. And I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with ironing out some kinks.

Seasonal Merchandise
Nat T.

Spacious, brightly lit pastry and coffee cafe with wide range of selections, take-out, and a bit of cute seasonal merchandise like the nutcracker figure (seasonal). Staffs were friendly and helpful and the cafe has lots of seating. Pastry and bake goods are generally decent. We have been a customer of Paris Baguette for years and glad there is a location closer to home now.

Amazing place Paris baguette Yonkers, lot of choices pastry and cake ,sandwiches , great customer service,

It's mid. Seating area is decently sized and clean, and the pastries are good. Service could be improved.

No. Hard no…read more "Do you make the cookies in house?" "No, but they're hand made by bakers" By who? The continental cookie company? The first bite you knew exactly what you just got ripped off for. The staff, was rude. "The ingredients are flown in from Europe and the cookies are handmade in the city" are you sure? "do you think I'm lying?" With an attitude? Well. Yes. In fact do less. Because if the ingredients are flown in from Europe they should know what they're doing with them because these my dear are from the continental cookie company. But don't bark at me when it's the single most dry cookie I've ever attempted to eat. The raspberry jam was so artificial. For 43.00 a pound at least get GOOD bulk cookies. Because for an employee to be as nasty and defensive but have an answer for everything? Just say you were wrong and move on, nope you wanted to argue. Brunette, glove on, to serve the dry cookies, only to then touch the lids with said glove between. Took cash while wearing glove, made change (23.00 for 5 small cookies and 2 small coffees) and then with the same hand put the cookies in a bag, while with the glove fiddling with stickers to close the bag. 7.50+ each for small coffees (one latte one cappuccino) neither made properly. An amalgamation of crumpled sugar packets that look like they'd been taken from other establishments stuffed in a small tin on the counter. You want to be some form of Parisian patisserie? Pretend better. Over priced and the entire case looks awful and if you're going to employ people who would rather play on their phone than do their job? At least make sure they can be composed. The young blonde was polite and kind throughout, the dark haired employee? Thankyou for telling us you're not the owner, because the owner should really evaluate your customer service. Needless to say we went back in to return the cookies because the one my husband choked down was enough but the abhorrent attitude solidified this being a terrible experience.

The knowledge of the staff truly stood out! She was incredibly informative about the cakes and pastries and even took the time to recommend latte flavor profiles that paired beautifully with the desserts. That level of expertise made the experience feel extra special. The entire staff was sweet, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger and come back again. Wishing them nothing but continued success and a long, thriving future--this is a place the community is lucky to have!

Stopped by again (was closed Wednesdays when I first visited) and finally got to try the goodies!…read moreAlthough I didn't have time to find parking for a stay - it's a small cute dessert shop with limited seats. I am a fan of the pandan flavor desserts and bought two that I wanted to try. One being a roll cake and the other layer cake. The pandan roll cake with taro I was told is a specialty that they only have on weekends. It was really flavorful, moist and spongy, just perfectly touched with a dash of sweetness in both the cake and the cream - I personally don't like overly sweet foods, and this is just perfect for me and my mom. I'm equally pleased with the layer cake as well it was very fresh and have that "QQ" texture - deliciously chewy and bouncy. This too, just hit right for me on the gentle sweetness, the pandan flavor keeping the spotlight in this dessert. My mom and I are big fans of these desserts. We just came back trying out others pandan layer cakes in Downtown Flushing and this shop beats them by a large margin. I hope to come back more when we could even though this shop is quite a distance for us.

The pastries and breads had a perfect texture, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every item. The staff was friendly and helpful, explaining the different options and making recommendations without being pushy. The bakery itself is clean and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to browse and enjoy treats. Overall, Shinpuru Baking delivers top-quality baked goods and excellent service. I'll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves fresh, tasty pastries.
