I searched for somewhere I could get donuts that wasn't DD and found this place. I grabbed a glazed donut and a sprinkles donut, and coffee. As far as yeast donuts go these were amazing - soft with a bit of chew. Just traditional icing, but I normally go for glazed anyway. The coffee was also fresh and tasty. There's no seating so it's just a grab and go place. I stood outside while I drunk my coffee and there was a steady stream of customers. I often annoy my family and friends by complaining that we have no normal donut places in New York. There are premium donuts, and then there are the fake donuts imposed on us by "Dunkin". In the wider world, there are many places with good fresh donuts, cheap and delicious. It's a source of sorrow and wonderment for me that these are so scarce for us. Enter Santos bakery. An unassuming pocket of a shop in a Yonkers neighborhood, the friendly ladies at the counter are dishing out simple donuts that are fresh, delicious, and dirt cheap. I am not certain how they manage this, but a step through these doors is a step back in time, cost and service wise. I cannot recommend this bakery highly enough. read more

So glad I came here! Such an amazing place! I looked up bakeries in this area, and I found this spot. So many super fresh options - bread, donuts, rolls! I would definitely come back here, again. The santos bakery has been around in the neighborhood for as long as I could remember and I can still say to this day that I love it the food is great between the concha's to just getting bread rolls there nothing to complain about the food. The ambiance is somewhat strange but it's nothing that effects the store so yeah over all I always liked the bakery read more
