We typically get duck donuts do my dad and brothers bday's. On occasion my sons. This time I asked my brother in law to pick up donuts for my brothers bday and he came with a dozen donuts but half were the ones with bacon. When he called it in he said to mix the dozen of them and he get a six bacon ones and four chocolate. It wasn't what we asked for and when he said something they weren't very nice to him about it. They said that's what you asked for and his response was I asked for a bacon and a chocolate and got all the same ones. Very disappointed. read more

This was probably one of the most upsetting experiences I've ever had in a very, very long time. I placed an order at this particular location. It was a donut, egg sandwich, and a regular doughnut and a cup of coffee. There was a young lady behind me who ordered mini donuts, and for whatever reason Rather than make my order, they made this young ladies order and She left and I was still sitting there waiting for my order to be prepared when I asked the manager was there a reason why my order was not made she told me she was busy doing something else and she didn't know that they have an open kitchen. I then proceeded to ask the young lady who is actually making my orders being that was only the two of them there the manager that intervened and said that she would take her in the back and ask her why she did not make my food. Own restaurants I know how it is when we get busy and things happen, but in this case, it was only myself and the other young lady in the restaurant at the time and it was just an awful feeling, and then the manager came across with attitude, which was another downer, never coming back to this place again. Fresh donuts! So many flavors to choose from, endless possibilities. The service is always welcoming and fast. Will be a returning customer.

I want to start off by saying the donuts are delicious; however, the customer service needs correction, specifically the general manager (short and obese Caucasian woman). I am being descriptive because I believe she is lying about being the general manager, given her lack of customer service skills. I came to this location excited to make a purchase. When I arrived at the counter, I immediately said good morning and was met with "how can I help you." I said good morning again because I thought she didn't hear me, and then she rudely responded, "I said good morning first." At this point, I told her she was rude and that I would not be placing an order. I asked her who the general manager of the location was, and she responded that it was her. I then asked who is above her, and she said the owner. I asked for the owner's information; she refused to give it to me and rudely responded that it was online. This is not my first time visiting this location, and I have never seen her act like this with other customers. However, this is not my first time experiencing a shift in her politeness when servicing a BIPOC customer like me. I will NEVER patronize this business again, and I advise anyone who values customer service for ALL customers to do the same. This discriminatory behavior is unacceptable, and if you cannot treat EVERYONE with kindness and respect, you should not be working in customer service. read more

Love DD! This is a great spot if you want to design your own donuts and/or are just looking for something fun to do! I love it here. It's usually pretty busy here but the line moves quickly. Lots of interesting combinations that, frankly, it can be a bit overwhelming to decide! But the best thing to remember is that you can't go wrong. Even though the donut toppings are added to order, I was impressed by how pretty our donuts looked. They were certainly delicious. I didn't get a chance to try to PB and chocolate one before my partner devoured it. The minis are cute. There were some on display, but they must be ordered 24 hours in advance (per the sign). Price seems competitive for the area - not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Cute space with minimal seating. Check out the duck swag, too. read more

Hello Fellow Yelpers! Beware...you might get addicted. The donuts are fresh and melt in your mouth. I ordered a half dozen. I tried the maple bacon, glazed, and strawberry dipped. They were amazing! The maple bacon was my favorite; it was warm, moist, and the right mix of salty and sweet. The service was prompt and the cost was within reason; it was $16 for a half dozen donuts and there was a special we got two for free, which was predetermined (one vanilla and one chocolate). The ambiance is chill. They sell coffee and milkshakes too. FYI: they have mini donuts but a 24 hour preorder is required. Also, you can purchased donuts for a party and you can bring a class to the shop as well. I strongly recommend a visit to the donut shop! Enjoy read more

I love duck donuts, but the manager at the Mamaroneck location is very rude. I asked if one of my donuts could be made separately because of a nut allergy and she gave me an attitude and said that because I was buying a dozen, one of the donuts could not be made separately. I also was forgetting to use the "name" of each donut when ordering and she would snap at me to say "I need the name". It really turned me off from going back.... read more

Fresh made and freshly dipped custom topping donut! This place hands down one of the best donut places in the area. How it works: First, you have to decide on the donut you want (5-10 mins). Then you order it and then they dip the donut into the toppings of your choice (5-10mins). Expect to wait for your freshly dipped donuts. Taste: Donuts are moist and fluffy, texture is equivalent to a apple cider donut (cake like) from Farmer's market or farms unlike the Dunkin Donuts texture. Bonus: It is served warm. There are so many different frosting toppings to choose from and they are all so good. I ordered Oreo, S'mores, Strawberry Confetti, Maple syrup and Bacon and more. (Please see my photos). Size: It is slightly smaller than a regular size donut. I made the mistake of buying only one. It was so good, I could have eaten two (regretting that so much, haha.). So buy two for yourself ;) Price: It is reasonably priced about $2 and change for one. If you buy more, you save more. $11.95 for half dozen so about $2.00 each. Cleanliness: This store is new so it is kept pretty neat and appears to be clean. Employees wore masks and Employees handling food wore gloves. Decor: Modern with indoor seating and a few outdoor chairs. Pretty spacious. Misc: They don't have ApplePay so you have to hand over your credit card which you might want sanitize afterwards due to COVID. read more

I got used to Portland, OR's yeasty-good Voodoo Donuts back in the summer of 2018- not to mention, some of theirs are Vegan. And since then, they've been my blueprint. My husband isn't a donut freak, but he enjoys them from time to time. So when Duck Donuts came to Mamaroneck, all it took was a visit and get hubs a few to last him several days. I on the other hand, read Duck's online batter ingredients list and noticed they contain 'dry milk' and egg yolk. So I was a displeased they don't offer at least one Vegan donut option. For a Saturday early evening though, place was jam-packed but the line looks more intimidating than anything else- and flew by quick. Located in a plaza, Duck is small, has slim counter on right with some high stools and glass refrigerators with bottled water and soft drinks. By the way- get a menu on the right as soon as you head inside that way you aren't scramming last minute. I decided on 4 donuts, however hubs had a craving for a Glazed donut..... way after I paid for the 4. Considering the chaos, Dalton felt it was easier for him to give it to me on the house- instead of going back and forth and adding 1 donut to my initial order. Thank YOU Dalton... you the man! Service was super friendly and even towards the end of the finished product-when they glazed, dipped and decorated the donuts, they made sure that what I got was what I paid for. Hubs is also a fan of the yeasty-type donuts we had in Portland- but he also liked the cake texture in Duck Donuts too. Kudos to Duck though for offering something different in these neck of the woods. But in a world where Vegan talks- why not offer at least one or two options and make serious headway in the vegan donut scene here in Westchester? read more

While I don't consider myself a doughnut connoisseur by any means, I recently took inventory and realized I've been to quite a few doughnut shops over the years. Since doughnuts are one of my desserts of choice, I'm always on the lookout for new spots to try them. About a month ago a number of my colleagues and friends alerted me of the impending opening of Duck Donuts - having had their goods elsewhere and having nothing but praise to give. Hence, I made plans to try them out for myself - and met one of my friends here for an incredibly healthy breakfast. Duck is located in Mamaroneck - not really in the thick of the town's main commercial strip but rather in a small strip mall a little further out. This might cost them foot traffic but it actually works out better because it affords them a parking lot and most people in this area of Westchester have cars. Anyway, we got there for 9am opening and there was already a line to the door - no worries though because it moved swiftly. The inside is small - ordering counter, open production area, coffee bar. Albeit a few stools, there's no place to sit - so ideally you would want to get your doughnuts to go. All of Duck's offerings are cake doughnuts and use the same base - they have a large variety of flavors to choose from and you also have the option to build your own. After placing your order, the production area lines the bare cake doughnuts and start adding the toppings. The cool part is that you can see everything being done. The doughnuts are priced individually as well as in half and full dozen boxes. In addition to their star menu item, they also have a selection of coffee beverages as well as breakfast sandwiches. I got a half dozen variety so I can take some home to share with my family - but of course I had to try one for myself first. The doughnut was pretty damn good; I had the chocolate frosted with rainbow sprinkles which was warm, soft without falling apart, and had great chocolate flavor. Because they're made to order it's best to consume them shortly after ordering, but they do give instructions to reheat if you need to. Overall, I was super impressed with Duck Donuts. They have a large selection of flavors, good coffee, and fast service. While I'm not sure these are the best doughnuts I've ever had, they're a welcome addition to Westchester and a step up from the monotonous selection the county has had in the past. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings. read more

So this was my first time here. I had never heard of a duck donuts before so when I saw the ad on FB I was like WHAT is a duck donuts. When I saw that it said made to order donuts I was excited. As soon as you walk in the smell gets you, it smells so good inside and you can see them making the donuts to the left as you walk in. Today I did the half dozen for $12.95 after taxes and I have to say I'm happy with the product. I got the s'more, coconut island bliss, maple bacon, chocolate with toffee, vanilla with nutella and vanilla with coconut. I will diffently be coming back. Overall, it's a cute concept. They have great marketing throughout with little ducks everywhere. The donuts are made fresh, but there was something lacking for me. I'm used to crispy outside, fluffy inside donuts. These just stayed the same texture throughout. The menu selection again sounded great, and they all looked tasty. Unfortunately again, they lacked the flavor I wanted. I'd try this place again, but it wouldn't be my go to location for my donut cravings. read more

This place is cool. Nothing really stood out though to make it exceptional. The Nutella donut is the one I would go back for. The donuts lack that crispy exterior you look for in cake donuts. The staff is friendly and they verify the donuts look correct before handing them off to you in their vented box! If I'm really in need of donuts and I'm in the area I would stop in. I would like to taste the coffee. So until next time Duck Donuts...keep frying those lovely circles of dough! read more

Man, it had been a while since I tried something so incredible! From the outside, the place doesn't strike you as anything out worldly, except for the amount of people inside. Once indoors, you are immediately overwhelmed by the amount of options you have and then, to the left, you see employees bringing out the fresh donuts out to decorate right in front of you. The line comes and goes quite fast, and all the employees are excited or at least very polite. My first order was two glazed donuts, one key lime cheesecake donut and a cappuccino. It took less time than Starbucks to get that coffee. It was hot and not bad at all (better than Dunkin's for sure). The donuts followed, packed in a lovely carton box. As soon as I realized that they were quite time efficient, I decided to order a dozen more before leaving. The only donut I've eaten so far has been the key lime one, and I believe I repeated the words "wow" and "oh my God" between 7-10 times (I have witnesses). These donuts are so fresh, ao warm and covered with the most delicious icings. It's the perfect balance of fluffy and cake-y. They just went to the top of my list for best donuts ever had. I can't wait to get home and try the rest of them. If you're in the area, this is a MUST. Make sure you try a key lime one! read more

My friend had been raving about this chain for years and we decided to make a little field trip for doughnuts. When you walk in, the menu you see is enormous, and they explain that all the doughnuts are the same vanilla cake batter, and the toppings are made to order. Since we're gluttons and it was $20 for a dozen that day, we decided to get 6 each in two boxes. We pored over the extensive menu, ordering together for the discount, and the cashier handled it with no problem. She had her system down pat. I got a lemon blueberry, a strawberry lemon, a vanilla rose, and for my husband's requests, a chocolate with fudge sauce, a s'mores, and a maple bacon. I know my friend got blueberry pancake flavor and French toast flavor, but can't remember the rest. We took the hot, fresh doughnuts to the car to try them immediately. My favorite by far was the blueberry lemon, which had a bright, sweet finish. I never got to try the chocolate or s'mores because they were my husband's. I took bites of the other three though, and the only reason I was underwhelmed by the Vanilla Rose was because a) the rest were so good, and b) I read the description as "vanilla icing with sprinkles and candied rose". It was a red rose shaped fondant candy stuck in the middle. Not a flower or rose syrup. Kind of the flavor and texture of candy corn. Oh well, reading comprehension is important. Anyway, flawless service, excellent doughnuts. Loved it and will come back again. read more

I was just denied entry with my service dog. I tried to show the manager my certification & proof of his training & legitimacy & all she cared about was if the dog had a "service animal" harness on or not. The harness has nothing to do with him being a service animal. Anyone can buy a service animal harness & pretend their dog is a service animal. I had legit certs & proof & she asked me to leave & refused to accept my business. I was just there to buy a single donut & leave. I am pretty sure what she did was illegal. If they're going to have such a strong stance against following the laws for service animals, the very least they could do is follow equal fair policies. Allowing dogs just because they have harnesses has nothing to do with whether those service animals are legit. read more

They were light and delicious and the perfect size, not too big, not too small. When I heard they were coming to mamaroneck I was thrilled! They are not filled donuts, they are dipped but honestly you don't miss the fillings because the toppings are great and honestly the less the better. Ordered and picked up some donuts for Mother's Day. The donuts were sadly nothing special. I think it's a bit weird they don't offer donuts with a filling. The taste, size and consistency of the donuts is comparable to entenmann's. Also, the icing was a bit artificial tasting. For around $2 per donut, I would expect better quality. One nice touch was they gave 2 roses with the order since it was Mother's Day. To be honest, I probably won't return or recommend to friends/ family. read more

I had heard of Duck Donuts before but didn't know it was a chain. They have an interesting concept which I would compare to a donut chipotle kind of place. It is quick service but if its your first time it will take you a second to order. All donuts have the same base which is a cake donut that you can add toppings and frostings to. There are a million combo's so that is why it will take you a second to order. The donuts were good but they all tasted the same. I like the oreo toppings with the glazed frosting. I like the Mom and Pop places instead of this chain. It is a step up from Dunkin but I would take Krispy Kreme over this if I was going for a chain. read more
