Maybe a 4.25 but we can't give partial stars. Brittney was our server. She knew the menu well and helped wis make our selections. The menu is lengthy. There are a lot of items from which to choose and can be overwhelming. Since it's a new to us spot I actually got breakfast items. My litmus tests are biscuits and sausage gravy & the grits no cheese added. Biscuit had good flavor. Is a tall biscuit cut in half so it looks like two flat ones on the plate. The gravy itself tasted fine. The sausage was lacking. You'l see the specks in the picture. If you get this I recommend getting a sausage patty on the said to cut up in it. Bacon? Crispy. 10 outta 10. Grits cooked well. A tiny bowl but if you eat grits it seems like the bowl refills itself. I added butter because I like grits in my butter. And just a couple hits of salt. They were not super bland. I do like to taste the salt or the salted water they should have been cooked in. Bae got French toast. Actually it was a breakfast combo meal. I do get the name. Ralph? Roger? Randy? He likes regular degular French toast. They delivered too! Powdered sugar and cinnamon. Scrambled eggs and sausage. I got a mimosa. They recommended the blueberry pineapple. It was decent but for me an overpriced menu item. I love a good mimosa but I think they're worth $3-$5 Again another litmus test. I won't reorder one there unless it's on special but it won't tell you not to order them.

Service can be hit or miss sometimes but food wise, this is some of the best breakfast food out there. Ive been getting their frittata rustica the past couple times I've went it's so good. Their drinks have been amazing too. The last time i went the service was mediocre. Drinks came messed up, I had asked to substitute my bread and it came the same, I ordered a pomegranate sunrise drink and it usually comes with a bottle and a cup and this time it only came with just the cup. We ordered two pancakes and only one came out. And just a whole lot of other things. But as said earlier, the food was amazing.

I stopped in about 10:30-11 on Saturday morning and it was busy as expected but I was sat right away (it was just me!). I love that they use ingredients from the market. It's a cute and cozy cafe but with several seating options. Walking inside almost feels like a trip to grandma's. I ordered the Southern Breakfast which was HUGE! I could barely eat half so basically two meals in one. Great price for the portion. I opted for the chicken. Very flavorful and juicy! I did seem to get a lot of breading only on my first few bites, but eventually was able to taste the chicken and it was tender. I liked the gravy, but thought it could use a little more black pepper and perhaps a little (heat) spice. They definitely don't skimp on the gravy though! I was most excited to try the famous biscuits that everyone talks about, but I have to admit that they felt a little flat, pun intended. They just didn't seem super fresh. The apple butter was delicious though! I also loved the fluffy eggs. They were perfectly cooked. The hashbrown casserole was yummy, I'm not used to bacon in mine and I loved that addition. My waitress was so sweet! I apologized for taking up an entire table just for me. She told me to stay as long as I wanted, which was really nice. I like that they offer payment via QR code. I was in and out! Overall, a good experience and I would like to go back and try other options.

Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu. They also had several reasonably priced drink specials, which was a nice surprise. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and a big part of what made the meal so enjoyable. A couple of family members joined us there. Both ordered plates of shrimp and grits and enjoyed them, as well as two side dishes that accompanied the entrees -- especially the deep fried "blooming " onion. Although my order of Greek salad was fresh and tasty, the added chicken proved tough and gristly. (However, it could have simply been a bad day for grilled chicken.) My husband, who is currently undergoing cancer treatments, ordered several dishes of vegetables but was feeling so badly when our meals arrived, he was unable to eat. This is when Cagney's began to shine -- service. Service is near the top of our review checklist, and can make or break any dining experience. Our waitress, Chloe, was (and, I believe, is) gold. Although a busy evening with a "full house," she waited on us quickly, got our order straight on the first try and updated us twice on one item coming out of the kitchen a few minutes after everything else. She checked on us from time to time and noticed my husband's fading energy. She noticed that he left the restaurant to relax in the car while we finished our meal. She asked if I might like to take his meal, which remained untouched, with me. When she returned with the take-home container, she had written a personal message on the lid and offered kind words and a warm hug for me. The next day, my husband asked me to warm his leftover meal so that he could have it for lunch. He said it was delicious. That alone is worth a great review. Add in Chloe, and dining at Cagney's was stellar.

I went in one day after lunch about a year ago and was completely overwhelmed because everything looked so good and I didn't order a thing. Stopped by yesterday and now I'm hooked! If you read my other reviews, you'll see where I tried another bakery's cinnamon buns twice and just was not a fan. Biggest critic was the lack of cinnamon in the cinnamon bun - this one is the opposite. There is cinnamon in every single bite - they even do the cinnamon-sugar on the bottom of the pan to ensure the crusty sweet goodness on their buns! This is definitely in my top list of cinnamon buns. The dough is so good and soft, the icing is to die for, and you know you'll get cinnamon in every bite just by looking at it! This is where I'll be going from now on when I don't want to make a batch at home! I also got the cookie butter cheesecake - how have I lived my life this long without trying this? Cheesecake, caramel and cookie butter in every bite! The cheesecake is super fluffy and I can't wait to try more of their flavors. I got my husband an ooey gooey chocolate chip cookie and we were both delighted with the flavor - it's the perfect balance of browned butter and bittersweet chocolate! He can't wait to give their oatmeal raisin cookies a try. For five in the evening, this place was hopping by the time I left. There was initially one person ahead of me and one behind the counter and as folks came in, two more came out the back to help! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! The shop itself is cute! I love walking in to see display case after display case of baked goods - all of them looking amazing! They also sell ice cream and coffee here! Definitely a bakery I will be frequenting often!
