    2 Pancake BACON Plate

A good biscuit, but a better pancake. Restaurant is clean and service was good. No thrills or frills... just your standard southern fare.

Picked up a breakfast sandwich recently at Biscuit King. They have an extensive menu, with breakfast and lunch, though I've only ever stopped in for breakfast. Like a lot of their competitors you order at the counter and wait for them to call your name/number. They have a large ear in dining room, but obviously to go is also an option, with a drive through window. Their pricing is very reasonable. Portions are large and filling, though I found the sausage egg and cheese biscuit to be a little bland, the sausage seemed to lack a little flavor. But overall it was a good meal. And I'd go back

I went to Biscuit King the other morning and ordered biscuits and gravy, and I was not disappointed. The only weird thing was that I had never had to assemble my own biscuits and gravy before. They put the gravy in two little Styrofoam containers and then the biscuits in another. This was odd, but other than that, this place was great for a cheap breakfast. I got what you see pictured and a small soda for $6.83- not too shabby. I will be coming back for this great breakfast. Next time I will get a biscuit and see how it is, as you can see from my picture, the biscuit is massive and was more than enough to fill me up for breakfast.

With this name, I expect GREAT THINGS! Okay, so I'm not from around here & when I saw this place called the Biscuit KING -I had to try it! (Why did I not learn from the Burger King? I don't hold him to such a high standard! ) Anywho, they are a GOOD CHOICE for breakfast. On my visit to the area this week, I came a few times & I tried different items. Funny that it's their biscuits that I liked the least! LOL! * Western Omelette was my favorite item -better than any biscuit. A great deal for a fast food chain. * Spicy Chicken Biscuit was good. Different. Instead of spicy seasoning/batter, it was drenched in a hot-wing style sauce. (White collar workers beware!) * Smoke Sausage Biscuit was recommended by the workers (yes, I conducted a quick poll with them) but I personally found it to be a bit dry. * Bacon & Hash brown triangles also good. * People there are wonderful. While waiting for my order, they were pleasant to talk to. I was there early & at a time with no other customers. * Cleanliness could use a little more attention. It wasn't bad ... but for that early in the morning, I would expect the windows/doors to be clean, the floor swept, etc. Much better than the typical fast food breakfast choices.

Large dining area, big hearty breakfast sandwiches! Tons of options on their breakfast menu, but I still like the bacon, egg, and cheese best. It is a nice healthy portion and the biscuit is so fresh and tasty. Good value for the money. Service was quick and friendly, always quicker to run in than sit in the drive thru. We took ours to go, but the dining are is large and looks clean. Definitely a "go to" amongst the other breakfast places!

    Decent biscuit n' gravy.

Today my spouse and I happened to be on this side of the Triad and we decided to try breakfast at Biscuit King. I'd heard really good things from a friend who described the staff as warm and friendly. He also loves their biscuits. Entering the dining area, we ordered with the assistance of Annie at the cash register. She explained our side options and helped us choose our breakfast combos, which we really appreciated. My bacon biscuit and grits were decent enough. I added butter and salt to the grits to improve the taste. The bacon was good and crispy, which was nice. They also don't skimp on the bacon, unlike other restaurants. The biscuit wasn't the best I've ever had, which is a shame, because this restaurant is named for this very item. Overall, this wasn't a bad visit, but I probably won't make a special trip to return to Biscuit King.

Clean and inviting interior... Probably wish they had more customers though.

Within the well established royal biscuit bloodlines of the Piedmont Triad Kingdom, it is very difficult to come in and shake up the aristocracy unless you really bring a very strong army of offerings and can siege the walls by force. On this front, the "Biscuit King" is merely a pawn in the game, not even strong enough to recognize as a pretender to the throne currently held firmly by The Biscuit Factory. Heck, it is not even the strongest challenger in the small feifdom of "places that serve biscuits between Wendover and I-40 along NC-68." All silliness aside... the competition for biscuits here is tough, and Biscuit King just simply isn't making a product that will make many waves. Nonetheless, I decided to go try it myself this morning at about 7:15am before heading to work. I arrived to find I was the only non-employee in the restaurant, with only a couple of people in the drive-thru... which is not a good sign at peak breakfast hours. That said, I was greeted very warmly when I walked in. The restaurant was clean and inviting, and the gentleman taking my order couldn't have been more personable. I ordered a country ham, egg, and cheese biscuit... and then went a little on the wild side with an order of onion rings, which I had never had with a breakfast before, but was intrigued by the fact they were available all day and the same price as potatoes. I waited just a couple of minutes after filling my drink cup, and my biscuit order was ready. I took a seat in the back where I could watch the local news on TV. Unwrapping my biscuit, the first thing I noticed was the lack of a golden color on top. Sure enough, the biscuit was a bit doughy and undercooked for my tastes. This seems consistent with other reviews, but is better than being dry I suppose. Still, its not as inviting or tasty as a biscuit with a golden flaky top. It also fell apart pretty easily as I was eating it. The texture both holding it and in my mouth wasn't right. It didn't look very fresh, though it was warm. Inside the biscuit, I was happy with the amount of egg, cheese, and ham, all of which were cooked properly and melted together nicely. The onion rings were a surprisingly good compliment to a biscuit, though they are definitely the frozen kind. Not surprising, but also not something that makes you want them. Overall... it doesn't crack the top 10 in the area. It's better than most of the fast food options (not all), but not as good as any of the BBQ restaurants breakfast offering, and no where near the crown held by Biscuit Factory.

This place used to be pretty great when the first opened but the wheels have really come off. They've started charging customers extra for the privilege of using a card. Which is ridiculous, look at this scrap of a cinnamon roll. Should have just bought a Little Debbie from a gas station and saved 2 bucks. Really disappointed. Hopefully they can turn things around.

Chicken biscuit... breakfast bowl... hash browns

Good food. Fast service. Plenty of choices. No Wi-Fi when asked. But the fries are sooo good.

    Floor and Wall

I ordered the Crispy chicken combo, the chicken was nice and hot as well as the fries. The sweet tea was on point. It's an affordable place if you're running on a budget friendly diet with your wallet. Service was nice and speedy like Speedy Gonzales... but the table I sat in had a broken piece of the wall and the floor. I guess I didn't need pepper this time..

The food and drink recommendations she made for the table were great, and the onion rings are definitely the best ones we've had in the area since relocating here. Both sandwiches we had were great. The Chicken Philly had a little bit of a kick to it, which made it a nice change from usual Philly sandwiches and the Cuban was different from a traditional Cuban as it had some barbecue sauce on it. It was a little different for me at first, but I ended up really liking it. Both salads were pretty big and both people really liked the salads. Great casual atmosphere, the staff have really come into their own, and the food is simple but has little touches that often make it a small cut above most other sports bar type places around. My favorite things to order are the smashburgers, chicken philly (almost as good as the one at Old Town, a restaurant also belonging to this same owner), and now the fish and chips. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. Steep it a little longer, and you've got me fully hooked.

The cook on the wings was excellent -- crispy without being dry. Some flavors stood out more than others depending on personal preference, but the Sweet Chili and Teriyaki were favorites for our table. The ranch was also really good, which definitely matters with wings. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food made this a fun experience and we'd return again.

The bartender was friendly though. I didn't see a bar menu, but from what I could see they had a fully stocked bar. I was a little surprised because, despite the jalapeños, I didn't find it spicy at all. I love garlic but I think I would prefer regular mayo to the garlic mayo. Compared to other cheesesteaks I've had, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Instead of fries, I chose the pesto pasta salad. The pasta itself had the perfect chewy texture, and I honestly wanted to keep eating it. Unfortunately, it was too salty for my palate. If you're a burger fan, it's definitely worth trying. They even have a triple Smashburger, and I was tempted to order it, but I showed some self-control this time! The fries were another win for me. I actually prefer my fries a little on the softer, floppier side instead of super crispy, and these were just how I like them. They were also well seasoned, which made them even better. I ordered my meal to go, and everything came out quickly. The bartender who helped me was friendly and made the experience easy. Overall, this was a surprisingly good meal, and I'll definitely be ordering the Smashburger again. Next time, that triple Smashburger might be calling my name!

I'm not sure where to begin with this review. We hadn't been to a Ruby Tuesday in 25+ years, so we…read morewere kind of excited to go here tonight. Issues began pretty much from the get go. We sat and waited forever for our waiter to greet us. By the time he did, he started with an apology, which is never a good sign. Unfortunately, it wasn't his last apology for the night, and things just kept getting worse. I got the NY strip, while my wife got the bourbon glazed chicken..,the regular one that comes with two breasts. We also added the salad bar. We started with the salad. The lettuce in three of four bowls was brown and looked old and decrepit. The spring mix looked ok, so we went with that. After finishing our salad, our main courses came out. My soda was empty, and my wife's was almost empty. Our server's question of, "Is there anything else I can get you?", never should've been asked. Anyway, our entrees come out. My NY strip and my wife's bourbon glazed salmon. Wait. Salmon? She didn't order salmon. We both recognize it as salmon, but our waiter isn't so sure. "Why don't you taste it?", he asks my wife. My wife, who doesn't like salmon or she would've ordered salmon, is a little put out by this request, and I agree. I taste it and confirm it is indeed salmon. Also, it's one piece, while the chicken clearly says it comes with two breasts. "Oh, it comes with one, but you have to ask for two.", our waiter says, which is clearly opposite from how it's worded in the menu. We had planned to split both dishes, so he takes the salmon back, and we start on the steak. It's terrible. What isn't fatty is dry and tasteless. How do they charge $25 for something like this that's so bad? Rice and broccoli were fine, but the steak was bad bad bad. Worse than Michael Jackson ever was. We've completely finished with the steak dish when the chicken finally comes out. While not the best chicken we've ever had, compared to the steak we forced ourselves to eat, the chicken seemed like it had been blessed by God. For the record, the chicken looked NOTHING like the salmon. There is no way the two could've been confused. It's impossible to get our server to pay attention to us. I finally get his attention by flapping my arms. Yes, really. We get our bill, but then he won't come back. Eventually, we're both giving him the death stare, "Yes, I know", he says at one point. "All I want to do is pay my bill.", I say as a reply. To which, he walks off again. He then comes back a little while later and probably wasn't surprised to see that no tip was given. It's been many many years since I've left a restaurant leaving no tip at all. This experience was so bad I feel like they owe me some money just for going in the first place. All our happy memories of good Ruby Tuesday experiences in the past have been ruined by this sad sad excuse for a dining experience that has put me a little closer to my grave.
