Stopped here on our way out of town and so glad we did!! Made to order donuts. You can pick your own toppings or choose from many different varieties. It's a vanilla cake donut that is fried when you order. Light, fluffy and served warm. We had 2 there and took 1/2 dozen for our 8 hour car ride. 8-10 secs to heat up in microwave and still tasted great. read more

I frequently come to Hershey, but when driving down Chocolate Avenue, I realized a new restaurant Duck Donuts had opened. I walked in and was greeted by the sight of a large line of over 10 people. However, around 5 minutes later I was able to place my order. All the donuts are vanilla and come with the option to customize it. I decided to customize a donut with powdered sugar and order their July 4th donut. Both came out within two minutes and were both fresh and hot. It only got better from there, though. After having a bite of both donuts I already got a nice taste of the delicious vanilla batter and the creamy icing. The staff here was also great! They explained the entire process to me and showed me their 4th of July donut options! Price-wise it was really not that expensive! I hope to come in soon! read more

Perfect and delicious donuts!! When we decided to stop here we said we were only going to get two donuts, one for each of us. Well you can see from the picture that that didn't happen. Lol! We knew we each wanted our own "Bacon in the Sun" donut and then after seeing the menu we also decided that we "needed" to try the Banana Fluffernutter and the Peanut Butter Paradise and maybe a glazed donut with bacon and might as well toss in another Bacon in the Sun, just to round it out to an even half dozen. Then because they're still warm from being made to order we decided it would be better to enjoy the donuts there. We sat down and proceeded to eat them and we ate them ... ALL!!! Lol!! The first time and last time I went to a Ducks Donuts was Easter weekend 2019. It wasn't the last time because I hated it. It was the last time because we live nowhere near a Ducks Donuts. Which might not be a bad thing. This is a place I'd go to once a week... MINIMUM. These donuts were so fresh (you literally watch them make them for you), so light and fluffy (all cake donuts and I don't even like cake donuts all that much), perfectly sweet, and with the appropriate topping:frosting:donut ratio. Every part of my experience here was amazing. From the friendly, clean environment to the helpful and fun staff. Not only do I daydream about how delicious these were... I look up the nearest location whenever I go out of town with the hope we might be reunited once again. If you need any convincing please take the time to salivate over the photos I have provided for your viewing pleasure. Come and get hot donuts fresh off the belt! There are so many topping choices to choose from so you can be very creative. They have idea topping choices for the people not feeling the creativity vibe. Decaf coffee tasted, ok. Place was very clean. There were three tables with chairs. I would recommend adding more seating. Maybe two love seats and a coffee table. Offer free WiFi. read more

Needed coffee. Not great options in the area, but this, is some good coffee. Like sold donut shop coffee plus they have oat milk. I didn't even want a donut but I got a donut and it was hot, fresh and covered in chocolate. I could probably have eaten 17 of them but I only had one, long drive ahead. Glad I know this is here as we will be back for sure. The locals seem to really love it, as half the folks in there had some kind of sport shirt on like they just came from the big game and needed a donut STAT. read more

The worst thing about Duck Donuts is the fact that I don't have it more often. If I ate it as often as I wanted to I'd be enormous. So, I've resigned to only coming here when my girlfriend flies in from California every few months to visit. Am I more excited that she's here, or am I more excited that I get to go to Duck Donuts? I don't know, but don't tell her I said that. The thing with Duck is that you HAVE to eat it fresh. If you get them to go you're wasting your time. If you bring them to your office and they've cooled off, eh, they're tasty but they're just another donut at that point. You could go to your local donut store and spend less money for the same sugary, doughy experience and be satisfied. The key is that you need to come here, get your donut, sit the hell down in the store, and eat one or two, or a dozen donuts all at once for the true experience of why they're so worth it. They're incomparable when they're right out of the fryer. Taking Duck Donuts home to eat is like buying ice cream at the store, leaving it on the counter for an hour and then drinking that mess with a straw. Sure, you're getting that sweet flavor of the ice cream, but it's not really ice cream anymore is it? Cheers! read more

Terrible customer service. We've been to so many different duck donuts locations and never had a bad experience but this took the cake. We collect ducks from different locations to remember our trips and when I was at the register I asked to add a duck to our purchase. The cashier rang us up and as I was pulling out our payment the manager pulled the cashier away. She came back and rudely refused to sell us the duck insisting that one was only purchased as decoration. Here's a tip don't decorate with your product. It may seem like a minimal thing but customer service is everything and we will not be returning. read more

Staff was very nice. Their card reader was acting up. $2 for a single donut isn't bad since it's made fresh right in front of you in a cheerful atmosphere. And they have you inspect your donut for approval before closing the box. read more

There goes the diet! interesting concept of serving you a freshly made warm donut ! Definitely a go to place if your sweet tooth is acting up and saying feed me as ours was. We tried their powdered sugar, a peanut butter, and a Bacon something with Carmel! You can't beat a fresh hot sweet donut in my book! My choice was the peanut butter but I did try the other two! The Bacon Carmel did give you that salty savory sweet that people seem to crave and the powdered is just a mainstay of the donut industry! Overall a great way to satisfy the sweet tooth! Will probably visit this or another Duck Donut in the future! Great first impression! read more

Glad I don't live close by. I would be here every morning. Best doughnut I've ever had! Louise walked us through how to order. She's really friendly. They are made to order and you can watch them making the doughnuts. You pick the topping and drizzle. They are hot when you get them. I finally had a bacon maple. Wouldn't get it again but it was good. Just not to my taste. The lemon was really good too. My boyfriend got peanut butter glaze with chocolate drizzle and a maple glaze. He said they were best doughnuts too. Great place for families with kids. Highly recommend! read more

This are art like I've never seen before. I previously was a duck donut virgin and only experience Dunkin' Donuts. There is not comparison. Duck donuts is superior. The hot and freshness of the donuts is magically. I think my favorites the graham cracker one but I also enjoy the Oreo. I want to come back and try the maple bacon. read more

Amazing place! Owner was super friendly and talked with us about the business. The donuts are fresh vanilla cakes and made fresh to order. I wish I had taken a photo of our donuts because they were beautiful and they tasted great! We got maple bacon, blueberry crumble, peach pie, lemon raspberry drizzle, and s'more. I also got a peach milkshake which was awesome! We were heading out of the town of Hershey and stopped there for a treat. You won't be disappointed and owner is a local husband and wife and you can tell they care about the business and the employees. read more

My mom wanted to meet at duck donuts. I have wanted to see what the hype was about and if it was any good. So it was at night not too many people. They were nice and made it fresh and hot. But even though they showed if it was right but I think I don't think it was the donuts. I had an Oreo one and midnight madness I thought it was more a chocolate donut with more chocolate. But when I tried it fresh it wasn't like the hype. It was ok but not worth just going to Hershey. read more

Great place to get fresh hot donuts and customize them. For those of you who like CAKEY donuts, this is a great place to come. I personally love yeast donuts over cake donuts but I was satisfied with my order from Duck donuts. The staff is friendly and will help explain the menu and ordering process. Usually they have menus and ordering sheets on the counter by the side. there you can read about how to order and also the most popular donut selections. If you order the customized donuts, they all have a vanilla cake donut base. Once you order, you can see them make your donuts right in front of you. They will let you inspect the donuts before they close the lid and give it to you. I ordered 1/2 dozen: 3 of their popular ones and 3 customized. I personally liked the maple bacon donut and the lemon with raspberry drizzle. The maple bacon is on the heavier and sweeter side. read more

I have been a customer and fan of this Duck Donuts location for a few years now, as well as worked here during my college years. The work environment was always super positive and welcoming, and that is not only due to the hardworking employees who always go above and beyond, but the previous owners being so appreciative of the work that their employees put in. The previous owners made sure that their employees felt valued, and put all of their time into the establishment. Disappointment does not even begin to describe how I felt witnessing what occurred at this store today. I stopped in to visit a good friend/previous coworker during her shift. Instead, I overheard the new owner verbally abuse and reiterate his newfound "leadership" to my friend and another employee. From an outside perspective, all I saw was a frail man's ego being damaged at the thought of his employees stepping up in areas that he, himself lacks. He then repeatedly told his employees to walk out. We can hope that this behavior and display of power is due to being in a new leadership role, but if it is not corrected this new ownership will cost this establishment the employee/community respect that it's previous owners worked so hard to gain. Do better. read more

Love this place! I've been to 5 locations, and the quality of staff is always the same, upbeat, personable, patient quality of person. You can order in the app or in person. I like the app because I can take my time to personalize them. The donuts are hot and freshly made. I love lemon with raspberry drizzle. And the key lime icing with cream cheese drizzle. So I have heard a lot about Duck Donuts from variable sources and people about how great it is. When I arrived in Hershey ,PA for a adult getaway weekend with the wife I saw that there was one in town. So i drug my wife there and I have to say that it is really awesome . They have a unique way of ordering , donuts are made fresh and are warm and topped with you unique flavors and toppings . We got the Maple iced doughnuts with bacon ! Yum! Honestly as you eat the donuts you realize just how great the actually donut is. Highly recommend this place in Hershey to anyone . read more

Choices, again! Not my strongest feat but I did manage to come home with a dozen, wait, a basket (18) delicious donuts of different kinds. The donuts taste very cakey, rather than dense like Supermarket, or Dunkin's variations. Staff is friendly and helpful. There's a platform where kids can observe the creation of their choice. Parking is easy and plentiful, angled spots on one side of the building that never felt crowded during our visit. The inside is spacious and well laid out, with comfortable seating that goes beyond just basic tables and chairs. You can see the donut assembly line from inside, which is a cool feature, though during our visit, the famous "Hot Now" light wasn't on and we didn't get to watch the donuts being made. We could see them in the machine prepping to be cooked, but missing the full process was a little disappointing since you really have no way of knowing in advance when the light will be on. On the bright side, we got complimentary Krispy Kreme hats for the kids, which was a fun little bonus. The restrooms were clean and wheelchair accessible, though it's a single-occupancy setup. Most importantly, the donuts were delicious! Overall, a great experience for a family trip. Just check ahead or get lucky with the "Hot Now" light if watching the donuts being made is on your bucket list.

By comparison, Dirk and I looked like roadies in some Viking Metal band sittingf in a corner with gyo and beef juice in our beards, but we enjoyed the experience AND the food. If you want the market, you can find curious culinary options from Nordic hot sauces [Pikku Piru] to gourmet mushrooms [Bennett Run]. Dirk chose a falafel from Grill & Gyro which was fat and delicious coming with fresh cut fries in a quantity too big to finish. I enjoyed a "Surrender the Fresh Dip" which was pricey but worth every penny for the tender, seasoned beef on a toasted roll with superb au jus. While I am used to buying my farmer's market pretzels from the Amish, I enjoyed a Foltz original pretzel, though I never understood the pairing of pretzels and lemonade so I declined that suggestion by the nice lady behind the counter. Regardless of what you crave, everyone is personable and passionate about their signature foods. They know it is a competitive market with so much to choose from, but I was happy to see so many people at various spots conducting themselves like regulars, just as happy to chat as have lunch with their favorite vendors. Parking is plentiful and the location is easily accessible just off of Chocolate Avenue It is clean and bright, inviting even in the tightly-packed center corridors that hide some of the more interesting kiosks and treats. My only complaint is the lack of seating. There's so much to choose from but not a lot of space to enjoy it. Dirk and I had to sit at a 4-seater and share with a family of 8 who packed themselves into a corner. Given that the market is only open Thursday to Saturday, plan for patience or go early for breakfast. I was able to sample some wares that were going off sale and they were delicious. My family and I split up to tackle the various vendors. While my family settled for sushi, Korean fried chicken wings, and bento boxes, I couldn't pass up Carmela's for a cheese steak with sharp provolone cheese and crab fries. We all shared anyway. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures of all the other food. It was glorious. Other than the wings, all the vendors were very quick to get the orders out. There were several eating areas which was helpful because I think we got there 30 mins before the dinner rush was coming in. The vibe is very nice. I grew up going to reading terminal market in Philly so having little markets like this around is always a delight. I hope the vendors do well because there's so many other vendors I'd like to try.
