Just tried them this past Saturday. Warm donuts made to order. So yummy! Be forewarned though - look online for all the various flavors and choose what you want before you get to the counter. (Not all flavors are listed on the order form). Better yet, order online. I plan to try that next time, as there's too much pressure to decide what to order with all the choices and variations you can come up with. I selected chocolate, lemon, and strawberry coatings, with sprinkles, cookie crumbles, and various drizzles. All were delicious. But with better preparation next time, I'll hopefully come up with more creative creations. Also plan for it to take close to an hour from when you arrive to when you get your donuts on busy weekend mornings. They are tasty morning treats, but I imagine they'd also be fabulous evening desserts (as the store is open until 7pm a lot of days). . And the staff are fantastic - patient and friendly. Donuts are rather small for the price, but they're worth the wait. Got my donuts home and they were still warm! Made a cup of coffee in my Keurig and enjoyed rings of scrumptiousness! Came here for the first time today and was blown away. I'm usually not a fan of cake donuts, but these are made fresh to order and are unlike anything I've had before. So I am very picky when it comes to sweet treats, especially donuts. We decided to try this place out and were beyond satisfied with duck donuts!!! They have 2 flavored cakes which threw me off guard for a second, but they have endless choices in toppings. What I was most impressed about is how they freshly ice/glaze the customized donuts right in front of you! They were super messy because the pastry was still warm. This is a great concept (make your doughnut fresh for you with the exact toppings you want) and the doughnuts are really good but...don't go on a busy Sunday morning or any other busy morning for that matter- 45 minutes to get 2 doughnuts!!! This place won't last long if that's the typical wait time. There were lots of hungry kiddos when we went who aren't going to be that patient. I have been thinking about trying DD for a while, but never when I had time to stop. Today I did stop and was very surprised because I didn't know the concept: made to order white cake donuts with custom toppings. The place was set up professionally, very clean, nice staff, efficient, etc. the donuts were also good and I felt the ingredients were quality. There is less donut-making to see than KK. However my psyche wants to see the donuts and think about which ones I want to try on a given visit. Maybe a crispy dark apple fritter, maybe choc long john, maybe a jalapeño cheese and sausage kolache... So for me I probably won't be back to DD. read more
