The French are kind of possessive over their cultural icons... go figure. 2) You are paying for the menu, but more importantly the proximity to the window. The more you pay up front, the closer to the window you are. 3) This isn't Jules Verne. It's the family friendly consolation prize. However, the service is kind, attentive and speak English. The food is better than most meals in touristy locations in America. You're going for the experience of eating in the Eiffel Tower. Just enjoy the ride, they'll be memories your family will enjoy forever.

They don't open until 7PM and you should get a reservation, but we luckily were able to get a seat out on the street with a great view of the Eiffel Tower just as sunset was happening and the lights were turned on on the tower. FAST Food: very good. We chose their dinner special, appetizer, entree and desert, which has some limited choices but all were good. I had the cold mashed peas with smoked salmon and this was really good, the salmon adds a great flavor, and soaked up the remainder with some of the bread. My wife had the mushroom with egg, and she didn't let me have a bite but said it was good. We both had the beef dish, which came with a nice sauce and potatoes. We topped this off with the Grand Marnier & Pina Colada Soufflés & a bottle of wine. Atmosphere: it's as you would expect, sitting on the street with traffic and arms length away passing you by. Several other groups sitting close to us all enjoying the view. Actually pretty spectacular. Service: exceptional! We don't speak any French and everyone was very helpful. Tips: make a reservation and see if you can turn your table so that both you and your significant other can glance at the Eiffel Tower while enjoying a great meal.

Each morning had a steady flow of guests, but it was well organized and easy to get seated. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, even during busy times. The Highlights The breakfast spread had everything you would want, including fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, scrambled eggs, cheeses, and meats. The croissants were consistently excellent, flaky and buttery, and constantly refreshed. My son became a bit of a legend one morning by eating 13 croissants, which says a lot about how good they were. The kids loved the French toast and eggs Benedict, while I usually went with scrambled eggs and porridge. The espresso drinks, especially the lattes, were also a daily highlight. The Challenges It could get crowded during peak hours, which sometimes meant a short wait for food orders, but turnover was quick and service was constant and nice. Final Thoughts We never tried lunch or dinner here since breakfast covered everything we needed, and it did so very well. The combination of quality and convenience made this an easy daily routine. They offer a wine pairing with each course, but we went for a bottle of Champagne-- we are in Paris after all. And of course, since we were bursting at the seams -- freshly baked madeleines still warm from the oven. Service was impeccable. Reservations are a must. Pollack is a cheap fish, usually made into fish sticks and imitation crab meat in US, but fresh pollack treated the right way was delicious and just as tasty as cod or bass. Last savory dish was seared beef filet, neatly stacked potato pave, sunchoke, mushroom, and artichoke. It was delicious from start to finish. As dinner was coming to a close we got to see the tower light up from the inside- tres magnifique! The food was amazing as well- we had the full coursed dinner (not sure if there is another option) along with the wine pairing. The courses are timed out so well and portioned accordingly so I never felt too full. The wines chosen for the meal did pair nicely with each course. We were at the restaurant for over 4 hours- when we left we couldn't believe it as it felt like maybe we'd spent 2. Service was unlike anything I'd experienced before- waitstaff ready and attentive to every detail of your time at the restaurant. While the food was amazing, it was really the entire experience of dining at the Eiffel Tower that made Le Jules Verne so special. How can you top that?!

We skipped the champagne when we were seated, but I wonder what that would have cost?!?! We skipped the addition of Mature cheese with Truffle, even though the waiter was fairly aggressive in suggesting it?!?! Glad we skipped as I saw how large that was on the table next to us. He had a hard time finishing it. Fusion French food. The most positive way to describe this meal for me is interesting... Complimentary Bread and Butter - What a GREAT start, it took all the power in me to NOT eat the entire loaf. Baked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside. And this was our first dish of the pre-fix meal which was not a good start for her. I wanted a 3rd glass of wine, but the sommelier never came back. Nor was it an option to get a dessert wine.
