I've been bringing my car to Dublin Mazda for a couple of years now even though Concord Mazda is actually closer for me. The service here is absolutely fantastic and they are very competent, they even told me that I still had 6 months on my brakes when I had said I needed new pads. Thanks to everyone for your great service and a special thanks to Kieth who is always especially nice! read more

Updating my review. During my appointment I told them my passenger rear tire was losing air. They said they will look at it but it might be the weather affecting it. They said they looked and didn't find anything. About a week later I found a big nail in my tire that was completely visible, they must not have checked. Disappointing. read more

The service center is always great and there is a tv and awesome Starbucks coffee machine in the waiting area. I was actually late for my appointment but they managed to fit me in. So I can come here, get the oil changed in my car, watch a little bit of the Travel Channel, while I drink my Starbucks coffee. What did I learn today, Raki is the national drink of Turkey. It's like the Greek's Ouzo...I think that is a pretty productive hour. read more

I didn't end up buying a car here simply because I decided on a Nissan instead, so this review is for their sales rep George. He was really nice and easy going, didn't pressure us into buying but was very honest about ways he could work with us to get us a good price. If I had decided on a Mazda I would def have worked with George. read more

After reviewing several dealeships in the area we went here. Our salesman was Tom R. He was very helpful and respectful. It was the typical buying haggle, but Tom really made us feel special. So far, the car is great! read more

My GF and I were on a quest a couple of weeks ago to find a new car as our faithful Mustang unfortunately died on Thanksgiving. We scoured the internet for the best possible deals day and night. Finally one day we came upon a Yelp review for Dublin Mazda. The reviews were really good and Mazda was running some good promotions so we decided to check them out. Kevin our sales associate was really patient for all of the questions about the cars we looked at and was very knowledgeable about their current fleet of cars. Personable, funny, he made the buying process easy. The finance team also deserves a shout out too. Worked with us so that we could get our 2016 CX-5 that night! I would recommend their dealership to all my family and friends! read more

My family and I had a great experience buying our first Mazda here with Michael B. He's a friendly, personable guy and worked a great deal for us on a 2016 CX-5. Michael B. is clearly passionate about Mazda and it shows in his salesmanship. read more

I had a stress-free, efficient and even enjoyable (!) experience purchasing a new Mazda with Rey Villa and team (Jon Higgns, Sales Manager; John Sutfin, Finance Director) this week. I stopped by briefly on Thursday, checked out a few vehicles and got the basic information and driving experience that I needed to confirm the model I wanted. After visiting the Dublin Mazda web site, I found a couple of cars in the inventory that had all the options I was looking for. I exchanged e-mails with Rey to understand more about their prices, which were quite fair, and confirm availability. When I arrived on Friday with my trade-in, I was able to test drive again, then negotiate a good market value for my trade-in. I left the lot not long after with beautiful new car - no pressure, no low-balling and no hard sell on unwanted options. I'll be having the vehicle serviced here in the years ahead, and look forward returning. read more

I had been shopping for a new vehicle with my father for the past several months and after going to a few dozen different dealerships across the bay area and searching to the point of exhaustion, we came across an ad at Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda. At this point we had heard just about every different sales pitch there was and walked from a handful of dealerships that had told us they could not meet our needs, so our attitudes walking in were not the most pleasant. I had spoken with Michael Barrilleaux the day before arriving at the dealership and he assured me that the vehicle we were looking at was currently on the lot and ready. He was quick to get my information and was very reassuring that he would do his best to get us a fair deal. We had a couple stops to make before heading out to Dublin the next morning, and I was fairly confident we were going to end up going home empty handed again because every dealership we went to prior to here was a letdown. Upon arrival to the dealership, Michael was easy to find and quick to help us. His knowledge of the vehicle we wanted was more than we could expect, he was quick to answer all of our questions and concerns and if he didn't have the answer to one of our questions, he was quick to get one! The vehicle was in much better condition than we had seen at other dealerships and had just been detailed, so well that you wouldn't even know it was used at over 38k miles. Michael Barrilleaux was more than fair during negotiations and we ended up getting the car at what we felt was a steal (more than $3k under kbb value)! Michael made the car buying experience a delight, his sharp wit and personal stories kept us entertained the entire time. I would DEFINITELY recommend buying a new or used vehicle here and strongly recommend you track down Michael for his input and in-depth knowledge! I will be making a point of purchasing my next vehicle here through him, and have already recommended him to several friends and family members that are in the market! They're an honest dealership with a great staff! read more

I was very satisfied with my experience with the service center at Dublin Mazda. I had been in the market for a used car and found a really nice one for sale through a private party. I was able to call Dublin Mazda's Service Center the same day I looked at the car and they squeezed it in for a thorough inspection before I bought it., even though they were pretty busy that day. They found it had one relatively minor issue and was in good shape, so I bought it. I took it to them to repair the issue and I was satisfied with the experience. They were flexible about when I could drop the car off and when I could pick it up and the amount I paid was spot on what I was originally estimated. They were even able to special order me an accessory I wanted even though my car is an older model. Overall, exactly how I'd like a service center experience to go down. I have heard so many horror stories about other car dealership repair centers where your bill is way above and beyond your estimate. I was a little apprehensive about going to a dealership for repairs, but it worked out fine and I will likely go back for whatever maintenance my pretty little car may need. read more

This review is for Nick V. Like others had already complained about. He was very rude and often snapped at us. He even slammed his notebook at us. Buying a car here is not as pleasant as it could be. I have had better experience at Toyota, Honda, and Mercedes. By far one of the worst experience, I have had shopping for a car. As a customer, I shouldn't have to deal with this kind of service. I highly recommend looking else where. He's clearly is new to this field. read more

I have been using the service department at Dublin Mazda for years, and have nothing but good things to say about the service I've received (see January 10, 2018 review). I recently found myself in need of another used car, and was told that Keith Morita was the person to see. I am glad that I did. I hadn't bought a car in a while, and Keith was patient with my questions and the time it took for me to make a decision. He was genuinely interested in me finding a car that would best suit my needs and did not pressure me. Being a former service advisor, he is very knowledgeable about the mechanics of a car and is honest about the advantages of one car vs. another. I bought a 2016 Mazda 3 and am happy with the purchase! read more

Searched for a Miata online and a beauty showed up at Dublin Mazda. I was contacted by Daniel who met us there the next day. The entire transaction was the smoothest, easiest and friendliest experience I've ever had with a dealership. Everybody we dealt with - Paula the Finance Manager, the general manager, Carlos in the parts dept. and Daniel, were first-class and did everything they could to make the deal happen. Got exactly the car I wanted at a reasonable price with a minimum of hassle. Gave me a fair price for our trade-in as well. They even filled it with gas before I left, which I had not experienced before. Thanks to all of them for making the drive over from Pacifica completely worth it. read more

Easily the best experience I've had at a dealer. Which is no easy feat considering I've owned about 30 vehicles in my short life time. The rep i was working with was Garth Wall. He went above and beyond. All my questions and concerns were answered. Really took the time allow me to compare the two vehicles I was considering. Without a doubt the best customer service I've received in a long time. Needless to say I will be recommending him and the team at Dublin Mazda to everyone I know. Thank you Garth! read more

Worked with Kevin and Garth to purchase a Mazda 6. I shopped around a lot of different dealerships and encountered many sleazy, rude car salesmen. Totally opposite experience at Dublin Mazda. Kevin and Garth were both patient and honest, willingly giving me all the necessary information without me having to pry it out of them. They worked with me to get the car down to a price I thought was reasonable and with monthly payments I could manage. They did not have my desired color/trim package on-site, but they got the car delivered and ready to go within a day. I signed papers early but had to come back on a different day to pick up the car. As my work schedule can change at the last minute, both Kevin and Garth were flexible in adjusting the time of my pick-up. If any of my close friends/family are in the market for a Mazda, I'll highly recommend Dublin Mazda! read more

I don't often write kind reviews, and generally hate having to face a car purchase for fear of dealing with car dealers of whom I don't have a high opinion. Then there's Keith Morita in the Sales group at this dealership who recently restored some of my hope that there might be a few decent people in this business. Keith knew something about cars, having had some parts and service background, as well as an avocational interest in aftermarket adds. But he stood out because of his service ethic and candor. Over several visits he patiently helped us to understand and experience vehicles to find the right fit for our needs, run down information, and took extra time to insure that we really understood the features of our purchase. His intervention during sales negotiation likely saved us from walking out the door when his manager started trying to play hardball over price. I'd never bought a Mazda, but I'd seek out Keith again to make a purchase knowing that I'd receive genuine help. My 5 star rating is on his behalf alone. The rest of the sales/finance crew we dealt with at Dublin Mazda were typical car dealers - overly resistant to reasonable price negotiation, trying to sell extra & unwanted add-ons and wasting loads of our time. I recently bought another vehicle from a Volkswagen dealer (not Dublin VW). It took only two hours to close a cash deal, and half of that was waiting for the finance guy who was doing double duty at the dealership next door. Appropriately quick and no hassle. The Dublin Mazda purchase, also a cash deal, took 7 hours over two days, most of which was wasted by the drawn-out negotiation and financial closure, and I was required to provide far more personal information than was required for the VW purchase. It took an hour just to hand the finance guy a check and get a receipt, though while I was waiting for him he had time to walk past me for coffee. Bad impression. Bad business. So if you shop for a car here, go straight to Keith Morita. Use him as your shield against the slime and his knowledge base to make a thoroughly informed decision. Even if you don't buy a car here you'll better appreciate the experience. Car dealers need more quality people like him. read more

We brought our CX 5 in to handle a recall and also to check a problem we were having with turning the ignition off after putting the car into park. Although the technician could not duplicate the problem, we were told they would "fix" the problem for $600. When we declined the service, we were charged $185 for the diagnostics! We were also told that the brake fluid was low. We immediately took the car to the mechanic shop that we have been using for 20 years. The experienced mechanic there took the time to show us how the brake fluid reservoir was designed, got our car on the rack to check it out, and assured us that everything was fine. We have been happy with the car and recommended it to several people (including our daughter, who bought a CX5 at the dealership) but would not buy a car or use this dealership for service again. read more

A Bad Situation Turned Good After my daughter totaled her car, we needed a good car and quick. Thank God her injuries were not life threatening. Our search began at Dublin Mazda where we met Kaz. To be sure we were not rushing into anything we went dealer hopping, 2 very long days of dealer hopping might I add. In the end we were back with Kaz and purchasing the very 1st car we looked at. Not only was it the best car we saw but it was the best price. We tried to see if any other dealerships would match their price of the same car but couldn't. We so wanted to be done shopping. At the same time we were glad it couldn't be matched because Dublin Mazda provided the best service, price and vehicles we could find. Now that we have experienced their customer service we are already talking about making our next car purchase at their dealership and with their friendly sales staff. Thank you Kaz and Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda-Alonna thanks you too! She loves her car. read more

I didn't buy my Mazda at this location, but they treated me like royalty. Shout out to Garth, one of the managers. He was friendly, funny and cool. I had a superb A++ experience here purchasing my beautiful Mazda CX-5! These guys just know great customer service. Let's break this down. PROS: 1) Non-push salesmen: Danny did a great job showing us the car without ever being pushy. I never felt any pressure to make a purchase or buy anything I did not want/need. He didn't give me any sales pitch and let my test drive do the talking. Just the salesperson style alone would make me want to come back here if I wanted to buy another car. 2) Price: I requested quotes form several dealerships and they gave me the best one. 3) Great crew: Sean was very helpful (he helped us figure out how to go about financing the loan), and was very knowledgeable and helpful making my limited credit history work for me. He was also such a nice friendly guy. John was good too showing us the breakdown of the numbers. Another gentleman even offered to wash my mom's car (they were washing the Mazda at the dealership that day). Just a great cast of people there, and all very friendly and very helpful. To be fair, we went on Friday afternoon when there were very few customers. I would image that if you go on the weekend, you would not receive the same attention from the workers. CONS: 1) Lengthy: After we decided what we wanted to buy and even after we decided how to finance the loan, it took a very long time to get out the door. I know that buying a car takes a long time, so this is expected. 2) Little pushy with the warranty sales pitch: The only time that I felt I was dealing with salesmen was when they were trying to sell the warranty for the car. I don't blame them - it is their job. OVERALL: Great car purchase experience. I felt like I got the car I wanted for a good price. Danny, Sean, and John were great (as was the gentleman who offered to wash the car - I am sorry but I forget his name). Thank you all! read more

Jerrod, Carlos, Marlo and all the service staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They did a SUPER job and had it all done in less than an hour, too! We just bought our Mazda 3 here and it was a very pleasant experience! Our sales person Kevin Chatfield was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The dealership contacted me and figured out the amount of my refund then cut me a check in the dealership. It took maybe 24 hours to get my problem resolved. Sadly I wish it didn't have to come to this. If this was something that could have been done in the dealership in the first place why wasn't it? I am thankful that my problem was resolved but I still wont be returning to the dealership to purchase another car. read more

I'll start by saying the Service Department here has always been great. Even when I am stressed out they still help out any way they can. However, I called this evening with a question about the Mazda CX-5 and some specific info about it (I purchased by Mazda from here in March). While I knew my question was best suited for a service advisor I was hoping the Sales Manager on duty would know the answer as the Service Department was closed and the question was time sensitive. Stupid me thinking the Sales Manager would know about the cars he is selling. I was transferred to Rayes, Reyes (something like this - Sales Manager on duty on 1/8/15 @ ~6:00pm). He answered the phone and I stated my name and question. His response was, "I don't know, we only have people here who want to sell cars." Quite take aback I said, "Excuse me?" He repeated, "We only have people here who want to sell cars." I told him I didn't see how this was helping me and asked him what his name was, he refused to give me his name and said he "didn't see how this was relevant to the situation," at which point he hung up on me while I was in the middle of asking him if he could transfer me to Service Department where I planned to leave a message. Needless to say I can thank Rayes, Reyes...this Sales Manager for me not referring anyone to buy here - don't want to risk anyone dealing with this person. read more

For the most part Dublin Mazda provided great services on my previous Mazda and recently remained competitive compared to other dealerships when negotiating a new deal. The service was good but I deducted a star because when I let the salesman know I had opted to purchase elsewhere, he became very unprofessional, strangely spoke poorly of my chosen dealership and acted quite frankly rather childishly. It confirmed I made the right decision. read more

I bought a used Mazda 3 on Wednesday 10/14/15. So far so good, I do not have an issue with the car that I bought. Around the lot there are signs that talk of a 3 day, no hassle exchange policy. Checked it with a manager that I would be fine coming in Saturday to do that. Saturday morning I go back to the dealership and pick out a newer car, few years newer, fewer miles, $2,000.00 more expensive. The price online was $16,900 (still is as of 10/19/15), the price on the windshield was $16,900. Get into the sales office and suddenly the price is $18,888.00. Tried to feed me some story about how the price was changing, this is the real price. Got a quote for another car that I was interested in, that too was suddenly $2000.00 more expensive(that too is still $16,000.00 online). I was so stunned and disgusted that I left. You know that they didn't want to sell me the car because the guy said nothing as I was leaving. A salesman said nothing about trying to get me to stay and finish the deal, let that sink in. They already got their money out of me. Maybe they figured they couldn't get someone else to pay what I paid for the car I did buy, I don't know. All I know is they really didn't want to let me exchange it. I have great credit and I was just going to pay out of pocket the difference anyway so it's not that I was too risky to give more financing to. I'm pretty sure there is a term for advertising one price and having another at checkout. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is that I am happy so far with the purchase I did make. read more

Over the past few years, my husband and I have gone through 5 cars. (No, we're not crazy or super-rich. We're mostly just too impetuous, and we have been lucky enough to get great deals on each trade.) But each and every time, the car-buying process was painfully long, boring, and quite annoying - especially with pushy salespeople or salespeople who were too cocky considering that they weren't that knowledgable. AND THEN I came to Dublin Mazda. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. We had the pleasure of working with Michael Barrilleaux. He was hands-down the BEST salesman that my husband and I had EVER worked with. He knew the Mazda CX5 inside and out - all the tips and tricks and facts and anecdotes we would ever need to decide whether this car was the one for us or not. And he was incredibly patient with us throughout the process. The one thing that sets apart a great salesperson from an average one is honesty. Whenever we had questions about how this car compared to specific other ones, he would give us an honest response on what was great about the other car, but what made this Mazda better. (This was definitely preferred to the generic "Oh the Mazda is just the best." without any specifics on why. We had that experience at Ford. When I asked a question about how the Escape compared with the CX5 or the Mini Countryman, all I got was a generic "Oh the Ford is the best. The others don't even compare. Best gas mileage." Hmm.. oh really, Ford guy? Check your facts - the Ford actually gets WORSE fuel economy than either of the other two cars I mentioned. *shakes head*) And even though the process was long because we went during a super-busy time, Michael kept both my husband and me entertained with adorable stories of his family, their travel adventures, and great recommendations on places to visit. Overall, the entire process was amazing thanks to Michael. The dealership is also clean and comfortable, and the other employees there were also friendly. I would highly recommend Dublin Mazda, and I would especially recommend working with Michael Barrilleaux. read more

Long story made short - we needed a car. THAT DAY. My husband had been in a (thankfully) not serious accident but insurance totaled his car and all of our family was sick of car roulette so we needed to get on this. Enter Mike Davis at Dublin Mazda to totally WOW us. At absolutely no point in our stint (and we were there for a while) did we feel pressured to buy something we did not want, to get upgrades we didn't need or to even really buy there. The whole experience was a joy. Options were, of course, presented to us but more in a "this is what it is - this is what it does - this how much it is - this is how much your payment would be with it" sense, which is wonderful, direct and simple to follow. We got a 2013 Mazda3, perfect for my husband's commuting needs, at a great deal. Mike worked so hard to get the best interest rate with our credit (which came out great btw) and got us out the door with the right car, clean and ready to go with no hold ups. Need a car? GO SEE MIKE AT MAZDA. And their financial guy - Big Mike? He's GREAT. Super personable and makes all the financial talk easy to follow and understand. The whole team was awesome and we already plan on getting our next car from them! read more

In the last 10 years, I've purchased 12+ vehicles at all different kinds of dealerships. I have to say that my experience purchasing a car for my girlfriend at Dublin Mazda was second to none. Lance, Bruce, and Neil were all excellent to deal with and very attentive. They made the entire process very low stress and low pressure. They were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and patient. Having had the complete opposite experience at the Mazda dealership in Fremont, I can't recommend this dealership enough if you're shopping for a car in the Bay Area. The fact that they work with local credit unions makes it all that much better. Keep up the great work, and you might have me back in your show room for one of the new hardtop Targa MX-5's next year! read more
