I have been coming here for years! I know, I know...a glutton for punishment. But hear me out! I bought a new Prius in 2012 from a different Toyota dealer. That's another story as this is a service dept review, although I will say I'd never buy a car from these guys (terrible experience) but they are close to my house so the service location is convenient. First few years, service was great!! I had the best guy! I can't remember his name but he was awesome! Honest pricing, up front about costs and what was included, never tried to upsell me on a higher service. Was really honest about repairs and what could wait and what maybe shouldn't. I always felt like he was looking out for me, not just trying to sell some extra service. I would rave about him! I always make my appts online, the website pulls up my records and lists all the service options I have, I check the box for the service I want and I schedule the appointment. Easy peasy! Then I bring my car in one time and my normal guy is not there. Looking back, he probably wasn't making a sales quota or something. They told me he didn't work there anymore. So this new guy starts giving me a crazy price quote for my service and I'm like wait, that's not what I wanted, I picked the service I want and he starts going on and on and upselling me and I don't know a lot about cars, so I'm like ok I guess. A $150 service is now well over $400....like what?? And then afterwards I look at what they did and they didn't "do" anything!!! Move the floor mats around and "check" a bunch of random crap! I just wanted an oil change and fluids topped off. My car runs GREAT, I don't need a lot of add ons. I think ok that's not gonna happen again! I'm going to stick to my guns! But it did, it happened several more times! I told you in the beginning, I'm a glutton for punishment! Each time they sell you on some "enhanced service" and it's a rip off!! I don't think they even look at what you checked you wanted when you made the appt. If there is something wrong with my car I'll know, CAUSE IT WONT WORK! They make you pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars so they can spend time LOOKING for something to be wrong, or slightly worn out, so they can charge you even more!!! And they will make you feel bad about it too!! So bad!!!! One time I flat out told the guy, I only have x amount to spend on this service and he was shaming me! Made me feel so bad! I started crying in Target when he called me to give me an "update" on my car. You might be thinking...why did you wait so long to write a review? Because I don't like writing bad reviews! I did email their customer service a few times and leave remarks on the after service survey they send out. But, today was the last straw...I had to write a review. I been putting off service because I hate them, but it's time and again it's close and convenient and they have all my records, which probably say "sucker" at the top. Once again I schedule my appt online and I check the service I want (see photo) $175. I like that this service says "check brakes" because my brakes were a little squeaky the other day and I do want them checked. It's probably time. I send my husband today to the appt with my car cause he's off and really I'm just SO OVER THESE PEOPLE AND THEIR CRAP, and I think maybe they won't do this to my husband. WRONG!!!!!!!!!! My husband messages me and he's like ok it's gonna be $641!! $641??!!!!!! I text back and I said "is that with new breaks?" and he said no just for the service! Suffice to say I went insane! Again the upsell from a $175, 110,000 mile service, up to almost $700!! I'm done! Really done. Last time. We want a new car too and I can tell you where I won't be going! It's sad cause I love a Toyota! Beware! They will upsell you on the most expensive service that does NOTHING but "check stuff" and they don't even act like you have options. Be stronger than me!! Stick to your guns! Or, just go somewhere else. Oh and the guy in another review that mentioned the coupons...it's all true!! Why do they even bother sending them out. In the 10+ years I've been going there a coupon has never worked! UPDATE: My hubs just left there. $136!! Looks like he held firm with the initial service I wanted AND maybe he got a coupon or they felt bad for him that I went insane...lol I'll still never go back!!

Feeling truly grateful and blessed today A huge THANK YOU to Kuya Bobby for helping me get my new Tesla Model Y I've known Kuya Bobby for many years, and one thing I can say is that he has always been genuine, patient, trustworthy, and always willing to help. He made the whole experience smooth, stress-free, and exciting from beginning to end Special thank you as well to Lance, the amazing manager, for the warm accommodation and outstanding customer service And to Rohan from the finance department for making the process easy and seamless The entire team at Toyota Dublin was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your kindness, professionalism, and for helping make this milestone possible Beyond thankful for this blessing

I'll start with the TLDR update (since it's an exhausting review), though feel free to read-on w/ the detailed update below if you wish to feel my pain: TLDR: Advisor I've never worked with prior (following dropping off my daughter's vehicle for a check engine light) asked my daughter to sign off on a nearly $5k maintenance to "tear down the engine to investigate the head gasket." We of course were suspicious (this is a Toyota & why we purchased Toyota's for reliability), calling 3 other Toyota specialty shops (ALL who said ALREADY? & that this was very rare/unusual), with one of the shops (following comprehensive diagnosis) stating, "I can tell you with 100% certainty, your gasket is not the issue... Issues with misfires were isolated to loosely secured & oxidized 3rd party plugs & nothing more... Upon replacement/clearing lights, the vehicle has been running flawlessly for over a month... Detailed Update: My daughter's Corolla displayed a check engine light less than two weeks after scheduled maintenance at Dublin Toyota, where the vehicle had been previously signed off as "Perfect/No Issues." I performed initial diagnostics w/ my OBD2, which isolated misfires (primarily w/ cylinder 3) suggested checking/replacing spark plugs/coils. I scheduled service w/ Dublin Toyota for further diagnosis, with the vehicle managed by an advisor we've never dealt with before (I won't name him outright, since it doesn't matter anyway / "one bad apple"). Within a day or so, the advisor called my daughter directly to approve a $4,800 quote for a head gasket replacement. The advisor (after stating "I realize this is very rare"), warned that the cost could exceed $4,800 following engine tear-down (depending on what else they may find), sending links for financing options and following up daily with texts. They later trimmed $300 from the quote. These daily calls/texts felt like pressured sales tactics which raised a massive red flag. Despite being told by the advisor that the car was not safe/should not be driven, I retrieved the vehicle ($250 out of pocket for the "diagnosis") while the advisor was on vacation. The Dublin Toyota Report only mentioned a simple combustion leak test citing excessive hydrocarbons, recommending a complete teardown of the engine to review the gasket. I had contacted (3) other mechanics (all of whom specialized w/ Toyota & stated the same thing after relaying the Make/Model/Years/Mileage, etc..., i.e.: "ALREADY?" The independent mechanic we chose (master mechanic referred/trusted to by a close family friend) ran more comprehensive tests, including a seven-minute combustion leak test (revving to around 2500 RPMs) where the color never changed (remaining bright blue). Their high level report (though more tests were performed) provided the following feedback: * Block test determined no evidence of excessive hydrocarbons * Engine Oil = CLEAN * They stated that our coolant was completely full & typically drains quickly with head gasket leaks. * Spark plugs, however, revealed that one of the plugs was so loose they barely needed a tool to remove. They took side-by-side pictures of the plugs, with Plug 3 being discolored, and so loose that the engine was not fully sealed, stating that this would absolutely result in a misfire. * They also ran a borescope into Plug 3's bay (providing me with the video) and stated, "I can tell you with 100% certainty that it is not the gasket," stating again that the loose and corroded plug is the likely root cause (then swapped our plugs with Toyota OEM 90919-01275). * As an extra test, they even swapped the Cylinder 3 and Cylinder 4 coils as well (with the new plugs) and cleared the codes. It's been about a month since this service, and the car has been running flawlessly following the spark plug replacement, with check engine lights not returning. I am disappointed, and as a result, I will be finding another (now inconvenient vs local) location to service my vehicles. Shame...

I had a great experience at Dublin Toyota on Tuesday, February 3rd, thanks to Ricardo Villegas. I brought in my 2017 Sienna for an oil and oil filter change using my own supplies, and everything went smoothly. After the service, Ricardo was extremely helpful and professional, taking time to explain future maintenance needs and when to address them. I really appreciated the clear, honest advice. I'd highly recommend Dublin Toyota--especially Ricardo Villegas--for excellent service and customer care.

Amazing experience sohail was very friendly and help us a lot through the process and made it stress free and very easy.

    Used Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

I recently purchased a used Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. I had a very good experience from start to finish. I called the dealership to make sure the car was still available because I drove for 2 hours to see the car. Sam Ehsas answered the phone. He made sure the car was available and had it ready by the time we arrived. We test drove the car and we like it. Sam helped us get the payment we wanted. It was super easy. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to sign the contract, Matias Betancur was very professional. He offered me the usual extended warranty and gap insurance. I declined the additional coverages. He did not put any pressure or made me feel guilty for not buying it. Other finance managers put much pressure to buy additional services. Matias even help me getting the best interest on my used car with my credit union. It has never been this easy to buy a car. Thank you Sam, Matias and Dublin Toyota for the great service.

The price was hefty and I decided to get estimates from BMW service specialists. Based on the super high ratings for Performance Autowerk, they were high on my list. When I reviewed the work that needed to be done, Rich suggested that I bring in my car so he could check it free of charge to make sure the work was needed and not being upsold. He provided a quick and very reasonable estimate. In the end, I decided to use another place because his shop is a long drive for me. But I would recommend him to anyone in the Dublin area.

It is so simple, if they do not want to fix our car, or too complicated, they can just say so! From September, if they really wanted our business, the owner could have reached out by now. In October, we paid a $1,600 deposit to have a rear differential replaced, followed by a final payment of $2,804.12 on November 25th. When we picked up the vehicle last week February 11, 2026 (yes they held our vehicle for months), it was still making the exact same noise as the day it was dropped off. We immediately did a ride-along with their own mechanic, who confirmed the issue was still present. Because they were entirely unable to fix the vehicle despite being paid in full, their mechanic explicitly stated that if we took it to another shop, Old Town Auto Care would refund the cost of the repair. We took the vehicle to a second, competent shop. They completely repaired it and confirmed that the rear differential did indeed need replacement, which was the exact work Old Town Auto Care charged us over $4,400 for but utterly failed to perform. We returned to Old Town Auto Care with undeniable proof: the new invoice, the actual old part, and a letter from the second shop. Despite their blatant failure to do the job and their own mechanic's verbal promise, management is now outright refusing to issue the promised partial refund of $1,900. I have included pictures of my credit card charges from Old Town Auto Care as well as the invoice form the different competent shop who confirmed and fixed the problem as proof. They will take your money, fail to fix your car, and then refuse to make it right even when presented with hard evidence of their incompetence. Do yourself a favor and avoid Old Town Auto Care at all costs.

What is the point of having the hours of operation starting at 9 AM when you are going to be 30 minutes late?? I had to take time away from work (that I am on time to) to have work done on my vehicle. When making appointments, someone should be there to take it and explain the work to be done. Most importantly give a written, itemized estimate according to California law. The fact that the signs are laminated tells me that this is a normal thing. Getting to work on time is not hard. Everybody commutes to work. Grown adults should know time management to open up on time. If they can't even do that, I would not trust them to touch anything of mine. Disrepectful. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
