I came in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted. The staff showed me all the options, they were so patient with all my indecision. As it turned out I left with the car that was right for me and it wasn't what I originally came in for (psst.. It's BETTER). Michael B's customer service really won me over. I tested at least 6 versions of the same car. Never irritated not pushy and very patient with me. I know dealing with a variety of people can wear any great customer service person down at the end of long day, but Michael handled everything with calm grace. His humor was appreciated. The finance team didn't play hard ball or drama which we appreciated. Reyes got us great Apr financing (lower than what we thought). I've owned toyotas my entire life. I switched to mazda with this first purchase. So far I'm very pleased! As for the car? 2014 mazda3 with 40 mpg? Can a compact really look this sexy and have sporty handling?!? and Mpg? Believe it!! Buh bye Toyota! Zoom zoom!! read more

This dealer had a lot more inventory of the Mazda3 hatchbacks than other dealers in the area, and they have a lot of staff on hand to make the car buying process as smooth as possible. There were some minor issues but it was a good experience overall. We worked with Robert, who answered our questions and helped us find the car we were looking for. He got us a decent price, and the negotiation process was not as painful as I would have expected. Robert's a nice guy! read more

Kevin at dublin Mazda was great. No pressure on the first visit, and when we came back to purchase, he was very helpful, and really worked with us to finalize the details. Still took awhile to finalize paperwork, but that is normal. We are very happy. We purchased a 2013 Mazda CX-5. read more

At first they are willing to help u find the right car but once I bought my car, I drove it home and the next day my car died. It would drive at all. I called my insurance AAA to help place a battery but that wasn't the problem. I called Mazda of Dublin back and they wanted me to use my Tow privileges from AAA. Can't believe the nerve! So I told them they better have someone come tow it for me. After they fixed a major problem with the car I told them the breaks were squeaky. They said they had checked it and it was fine. Turns out the break pads were wearing out and I had to change it. Talk about bad experience. read more

My boyfriend and I drove several hours to this dealership because I was interested in a specific car that was on-line. I spoke with Mike B. through chat on autotrader.com prior to making the trip out there. He assured me that if I we drove all that distance he could "work with us on the price". In the same conversation online I asked him what he knew of the cars past. He told me it had only had one owner and was very well kept and clean inside. However.... nothing was what he had told me. The car had technically had one owner, a rental agency. The interior had much more wear and tear then he had lead me to believe. We then went inside to see how much he could move on the price. He told us he could do NOTHING! Were told they were already not making money on the car and it was already a good deal and his version of working with the price was taking out a loan for a longer period of time. Meaning same total price, lower monthly payments for a longer period of time, gross. Finally we told him if they cant go down on price there are other car dealerships we wanted to look at and we would contact him if we decided to get the car. Long story short the sales manager intervened before we got to the door, but still not willing to lower the price. At this point we we're done. We marched out to the parking lot and the salesman actually followed us to our car trying to get us to change our minds. After leaving the lot he called my phone twice and my boyfriends phone twice before my boyfriend finally told them we had been pushed too far and will not be returning no matter what they offer. TRULY UNBELIEVABLE and not in a positive way. read more

Great experience buying a new Mazda3 from Greg. We initially connected via email after I sent a bunch of requests around to different dealerships. Greg called me back quickly and responded to the email, as well, and he was very pleasant to work with--a nice contrast to some of the other dealer experiences I recently had. I'm really happy with my purchase, and the financing process was fine, too. Big Mike is friendly and helpful and talked me clearly through the options. read more

Probably the best car buying experience I've ever had. No haggling required since they quoted me less than the true market value listed on Edmunds. Stephen Butterfield was thorough, courteous, open and never pressured us toward anything. As nice as can be. read more

So recently my car was totaled and I had to go car shopping. I spoke with and visited several Mazda dealerships around the Bay Area, and surprise, surprise: many of the salesmen treated me like an effing idiot and tried to push me around because I'm young/ a first time buyer/ a girl/ whatever else reason. I suppose I would compare the experience to something close to a waterboarding session (ahem Fremont). Fortunately, Dublin Mazda is nothing like that. They gave me a straight price over email (which was also the best price of everywhere I checked) and didn't try tricking me into buying anything I didn't want. Also they didn't blow up my phone like a jealous ex, which is, you know... nice. Danny Fernandez is the absolute best salesman (and I hesitate to use this word because he is genuinely nice and not pushy) and Brian Lewand is the most knowledgeable technician and the one I trust most to service my new car! All in all, if you're looking for a new car, want the best price with no pressure, and aren't in the mood to dick around, Dublin Mazda is the way to go! read more

I just purchased a 2011 CX9 with DVD and Navi, from Dublin Mazda. I took my time shopping different Mazda dealerships and found Dublin to be the place I trust to buy from. I have had several bad experiences at other dealerships and dreaded having to buy another car. The sales person and sales manager made this the best car buying experience ever. I have never trusted a dealership as much as I have this one. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

As a first time buyer I walked into Dublin Mazda hoping for the best results. From dealership to dealership i was lucky enough to make my last stop here! I was looking to trade in my car I already had and purchase a new one. With open arms Garth and Mason were my go-to guys! I had a long process in buying the car and every step of the way these two did not hesitate to help with any questions or concerns I had! I felt as if I knew them for years, kind hearted people who are looking for YOUR best interest! No pressure from either or, they simply helped me from start to finish and I left happily with a brand new 2016 Mazda 6 isport!! 5 stars for the dealership and as well for Garth and Mason! read more

Hope my review inspires and brings you to the Dublin Mazda Family Owned Business!! Tell them the Artist sent you! Ask for (SALES) Reynaldo & (MANAGER) Johnny. Customer Service was Great from Rey & Johnny got me what I needed not what I wanted which was the Grand Touring but with the Touring I'll be able to trick it out can't wait to spice up my 2016 CX-5 ; which will look better than the GT trim. I've always dreamed of taking a trim under the top of the line (GT) and turning it into something better. Thanks for allowing my dreams to come true Johnny. Ran into a little problem from my previous car, but Johnny worked with me and my income. After coming back the next day we sat down again. I didn't feel pressured or that they were trying to sell me anything but wanted to help and provide me with the best options: car and price they could. Weighed my options out from Fiancing, New, CPO and leasing. Be prepared and go in business minded this was my first purchase from a dealer, and I left with more business cards here than I have at a networking event. In other words negotiate, work with them they will work with you. My Story: After heading down to find that the Oakland Mazda had closed I stumbled across Dublin Mazda online. I liked what I saw but was considering buying in Monterey being that that's where I was going to visit for the weekend and was ready to buy. However something said just wait, so on a Monday morning traveling back with my relatives, my brother and I was dropped off at the West Dublin Bart station which was close to were a family friend had to go and the closes she could get us to Oakland. Being an intuitive person I said what a coincidence let's go see if we can get a car today bro. So my brother and I took an Uber to Mazda. My buddy now Reynaldo came around I told him what I was looking for, and was defient after having drove a M3 rental back from LA. But I wanted a SUV figure the specs wouldn't be to different. LET ME SAY THIS I TESTED DROVE A 2016 RAV 4 AND IT SUCKED and the body of the new model is ugh; THE EXTRA TOUCHES TO THE MAZDA UNDER THE HOOD GIVES IT A LITTLE BOOST AND DOESN'T REALLY FEEL LIKE A SLOW 4CYLINDER if you know what I mean and the handling is great. Got my Birthday wish, THANK YOU AGAIN JOHNNY & REY!! BIG MIKE is a cool guy too. read more

I recently purchased a 2014 Mazda 3 from Dublin Mazda. I'd done my research, and after an inventory search at dealers around the Bay Area, and I found they had a model similar to what I wanted. I'm a 20-something woman and a first-time buyer, but my dad has bought over 10 cars in the course of my lifetime and I've been with him on every single trip to the dealership, so I'm young, but not naive to the car sales game. I was prepared for my buying experience to be a little more treacherous than my dad's, and I was right. That being said, I want to be fair in the review and give credit where it's due. Nick Z greeted me when I got to the dealership and was awesome about showing me around and answering my questions. He was patient in taking me on a longer test drive and talked me through some of the various features of the car. He was professional, knowledgable, and respectful throughout the process. Reyes, the sales manager, got involved when it came down to talking numbers. He heard me out on my price point and was fair in his negotiations. He didn't try to BS me about any "extras" and was straight with me about the financing. I wound up walking out after the first day of negotiations only because I wanted to see about the trade-in vs. sales value of my previous car. He was polite and courteous as I left and greeted me kindly the next day when I came in. Then we got to John, the finance manager. Now, I understand that everything that happens up until you get into this conversation is pretty much null and void, so I was ready for the numbers to start to look a little different and need to negotiate again. (Go into this room with the total number you have previously negotiated including taxes and fees in writing and do not deviate from that number. Period). I understand that his job is to get the most money out of me on the spot as possible. He has to eat, too. Totally fair. My problem is the way he went about it. Greeting me with "You have such beautiful hair" is not a good start, and interrupting negotiations to note the color of my eyes is just ridiculous. I'm a customer, not a model. If you want to compliment me, compliment my choice of car or the amount of research I've done. It went downhill from there. I knew I didn't want the extended warranty or the maintenance package, and I made that clear, while he continuously used words like "illogical" and suggested I "call my dad" to make sure I was making the right choice. At some point in the conversation I mentioned my dad was an attorney, and a comment was made about attorneys and doctors always being good to have in the family. I responded, "No doctors for us" to which he replied (I wish I was making this up), "Well, maybe you'll marry one." Aside from that, he played games with the APR and quoted me at 8% when I walked in the room, then tried to convince me he could do a magic trick bringing the APR down if I agreed to the maintenance package. Which is ludicrous. Of course he "talked to the bank" after I'd vehemently denied both extras and suddenly my APR was at a reasonable 3% again with my predicted monthly payments. Ultimately, I got the price I walked in the room with after over an hour of this. Bottom line: I shouldn't leave feeling like I would have been treated differently had I brought my dad/boyfriend/husband with me. I'm not going to give you more money because you tell me I'm pretty. I'm an intelligent adult trying to make a big purchase, which I have carefully saved and planned for. It is 2014. Treat women like people. read more

This Mazda dealer is quite a bit further away than other dealers, but I am willing to make the extra drive after my experience here. Shortly after I moved to the East Bay from LA, my 2012 Mazda 3 started to have issues. The check engine and traction control warning lights came on, as well as the automatic transaxle light while I was driving which caused me to panic, since being a student I don't have a whole lot of time to deal with major car issues since I use my car to get to school. After checking all my fluid levels, disconnecting the battery to see if the warning lights would go away (they didn't), and going to a local mechanic who ran a code reader, my worst fears seemed to be confirmed when he told me I had to get my transmission checked due to a shift malfunction. I called a couple of dealers and most were not available to work on my car until a few days after. I finally decided to go to Dublin because it's right next to the BART station and they sounded a little nicer on the phone than another dealer I called, and they allowed me to drop off my car on a Tuesday so that they could look at it first thing on Wednesday. When I got to the dealer, I was helped by Jeff, and after explaining my car situation told me that since I was still under warranty my services would most likely be covered. He also gave me an estimate of when they would call me to tell me what was wrong with my car, and offered to give me a ride to and from the BART via the shuttle service. The day after I left my car, he called me and told me it was actually the steering angle sensor that was malfunctioning and that ordering and replacing it would be completely covered, telling me the day and time it would be done. On Friday when I picked up my car, Jeff was able to personally tell me what they did to my car and what was wrong with it. To top it all off, when I finally got my car back I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had cleaned both the exterior and interior (other dealers I've been to either didn't do any cleaning or did exterior only). In the end, I received excellent customer service even though I didn't pay anything out of pocket, and everything was done in a timely manner. I hate it when dealers give you time estimates and end up taking a lot longer than they say they will. My car has been running smoothly since I got it back and I couldn't be happier. I'll be sure to use Dublin Mazda for all my service needs. Thank you so much!! read more

I don't even know where to begin. I was never taken seriously by this dealership. Everything went fine through the test drive. I must have come off as either someone who didn't have the funds to buy a vehicle, or just a tourist, because once we sat down to look at the pricing, I was asked over and over again if I intended to buy a car that day. I let them know I was serious, but the salesman - Roger Thurman - continued to try to get me to leave and follow up "when I was ready". I liked the vehicle, so I stayed. I got a low ball offer on my trade, then got the 1-2 punch from the dealer and sales manager when I made an offer on their car. The salesman said no, and simply walked away, then the sales manager - Reyes Garcia - caught me at the door and tried to "close the deal". He made up a retail value for the car which seemed inflated, and when I pointed out KBB's valuation of the car, he got offended, rather nasty, and told me to leave. All in all, I should really thank Dublin Mazda for their horrible and aggressive approach to car buying, because I later found a brand new vehicle for $500 less than the used program car I was looking at, and in a better color. So thanks, guys, your terrible service led me to a better deal and the car I really wanted. read more

My Girlfriend and I recently stopped in to see if they had a Mazda Miata that was a hardtop convertible with auto transmission. We just took a chance that they might have something. She has had her old Miata since 2005 and it had 225,000 miles on it with no major repairs. It was time to get her another one and she is totally dedicated to the Miata brand with the performance record of the last one. Either luck shined on us or their inventory of pre-owned Miata's is that good! There it sat, 2013, 16,000 miles and a beautiful metallic rust color glistening in the sun. There were two other couples looking at it and immediately we saw Roger Thurman our sales director and asked for a test drive before anyone else could. Well when they got back I could see the look in her eye and she wanted it! She did look great behind the wheel and I must admit that hardtop convertible is just gorgeous! It looks sleek, sexy and like a sports car twice its price! So at that point it was just a matter of trading in her old Miata and getting a price and payments we wanted. Roger was a fantastic guy to work with and we both found this to be one of the best car-buying experiences of our lives and we live in a 55+ senior community and have purchased many vehicles. Roger worked a great trade-in value with an affordable down payment for us and Roger came in with a purchase price that hit our payment goal right on the nose. Really a great afternoon of car buying! Plus, when we took delivery he spent almost 2 full hours going over all the features, button functions and we had lots of questions, yet Roger never made us feel rushed or like we were a burden (which I'm sure we probably were at some level!) Thank You Roger and Thank You Dublin Mazda! It's been a little over 3 weeks now and she loves the new Miata even more than when we bought it! She's turnin' heads and breakin' hearts like never before! read more

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I recently found myself in need of a new car. After a week of online shopping, I finally settled on a Mazda. My parents had just bought a Mazda themselves from Ken Harvey's Dublin Mazda and had been raving about their experience there since. More specifically, about their experience buying their car from Garth Wall and John Sutfin. So we went their last Saturday to see if Garth and John were working that day. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the experience of car shopping, as it had been 8 years since I bought a new car. However, as soon as Garth came out and started helping us, that feeling dissolved. He was supremely friendly. He remembered my parents right away even though it had been a few months since they were there and treated us like we were old friends. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cars I was looking at, and about the different deals they were offering at the time that I would qualify for. And most importantly, he wasn't pushy in his dealings with us, he was very patient and explained all the aspects of the vehicle and advised me on what car would best fit my needs. So I didn't feel like I was being pressured into buying a car that day. Then in the end he steered us towards John Sutfin, the Financial Manager, who was also friendly, and knowledgeable about the financial side of car buying. He was able to work with the bank to get me a great interest rate, which brought the monthly payments to a level that I knew I could afford. Considering all of the aspects of both my experience and my parents experience at Dublin Mazda, I would definitely recommend it to any of my family members or friends who are thinking about purchasing a car. If you are in the market, stop in and see Garth Wall. I guarantee you won't regret it. read more

I didn't end up purchasing a car from Dublin Mazda, so I can only speak to my experience dealing with the salesman when I was deciding where to buy my car. I dealt with Mike Davis, Internet Sales Manager, and I very much appreciated his straight forward, upfront manner. He was willing to sell the car I was interested in for a great, competitive price, and he clearly spelled out what the out-the-door cost of the car would be without any hidden fees. After dealing with Fremont Mazda, which pulled out every dirty trick in the book, I appreciated dealing with Mike, who kept things clear and simple. Again, I can't speak to how this dealer operates when actually handling the paperwork and finalizing the deal, but I think it's worth giving Dublin Mazda a try if you're shopping around for a Mazda. There are so few decent dealerships out there--Dublin Mazda is probably one of the better ones. read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my family since we all went to the Dublin Mazda dealership to select my parents' new dolphin grey Mazda3. My parents had called several Mazda dealerships in the Bay Area and found that this place offered the most competitive price and best customer service. The representatives in Fremont, Oakland, and Oak Tree (Santa Clara) were not easily accessible by phone and did not call or email back with prices for their vehicles. For the ones who did call back, it seemed like they were rushed so the calls were very brief. When emailing Dublin, though, Juan responded quickly by email the same day and answered our phone call the first time we called. After the call that morning, the family drove out to Dublin to check out the dolphin grey Mazda3 Sport. Juan was very attentive to my parents questions and concerns. He was patient with them test driving the Sport three times and flip-flopping with which color they ultimately wanted. It seemed like they were set on the dolphin grey since my dad drove it once, had Juan get the car checked out because it drifted slightly to the right, and test drove it again. Right before making the decision, though, my parents wanted to go with a white one. After scouting the lot and making a phone call or two, Juan informed us that they did not have the white one on site but could have one in a day. After finding out it would have costed ~$500 to have the car transported to Dublin, my parents ultimately decided to go with the dolphin grey. Juan was very thorough in explaining the car's features and processing the necessary paperwork. He was very nice and accommodating throughout our time there and made our trip to the dealership go smoothly. While the car my parents purchased was getting detailed, we went outside and looked at this 2011 graphite (I think) Mazda3 Touring that belonged to another employee at the dealership. This gentleman took the time to explain the pros on the car not only as a salesman but also as a proud owner. He helped us feel confident in our Mazda3 purchase. Overall, our experience with Dublin Mazda was to our satisfaction. We would recommend others to go with this site when getting a new Mazda and ask for Juan to assist you with your prospective purchases. read more
