I went on May 9 to get my nails done due to my nail tech not being available that day and I regret not waiting for her and I lost my money in the process. I came in here thinking I was going to get a regular gel refill and this is what I got in return lifted nails (and it's only been a week ) and the gel being patchy when it dried down. I also asked for the nails to be shaped very square and this was the result. Im sorry to say this but this is the worst gel refill I have seen in a long time and mind you I wanted to give this salon a second chance after they botched my nails the first time so it's safe to say the shame is on me this time. Not for nothing I don't require much upkeep on my toes and nails, so a basic Mani & Pedi is what I went for $45. I enjoyed my pedicure very much, my manicure on the other hand was VERY basic. Like a color change more then a manicure. The place is very spacious and clean which is what I appreciated the most. They clean after EVERY use of chairs,screens,supplies. Went yesterday for a full set and pedicure. Pedi was good, not great but not at all relaxing because they wanted to start my full set while I was getting my pedicure. My full set came out lumpy and uneven. She cut me a few times with the drill and when finished I had acrylic still all over my hands. No hand massage, no cuticle oil. Basically, I got a crappy set of nails that look horrible and I got the privilege to pay $57 for the set and pedicure. Nail designs were done by me at home in the hopes of masking a terrible job done. I suggest going elsewhere if you are looking for a good looking full set. read more

Hello Lee (manager and owner of D's nails & salon). Here is my experience at your place! Yelp, why u make me give them a star? they deserve none! I don't even know where to start from. I wish I had read all these reviews before I go there! The day of my baby shower and my engagement, on August 30th I called D's nails & spa if they had time to do a full set with french manicure and a toe nail color change. I booked the appointment and I went there around 10.30 am. The lady sat me on the massage chair for the toe nail color change and after she did the full set. First of all, when she filed my nails to put the acrylic nail on, she did not file them all around the cuticles, so when she put the thick gel coat, she put it on top of the cuticles. Secondly, she put the acrylic nails totally cricked from my fingers. I know I don't have the straightest fingers, but how blind can u be to put the nails looking in totally different direction from the finger? When I told her that the nails looked cricked she shut me up by saying she knows what she is doing and she would make them beautiful at the end. OK! Every time I was telling her how I want my nails to look like at the end she would shut me up. She was rude and I was irritated. At that point I knew I would be disappointed at the end. My boyfriend was going to put a ring on my finger and I wanted my nails to look perfect. It was not going to happen! She asked me if I wanted the gel on top of the full set and I first said no. They are so pushy that she asked me again. She said it's only $5 extra and my nails would last 3 weeks. HA! They did not last 3 days!!! At the end my nails did not look like professionally done. I had gel and white nail polish all around my fingers. Not to mention she charged me $2 more than what the catalog prices were. The manager claimed that $2 was for cutting my toe nails when she already had charged me $10 for changing the color. She did not let me know there was extra charge for cutting the toe nails and never asked me if that would be ok with me! this is what the manager said :" what? you want that for free?". No "lady", I pay for whatever I ask but u charge extra without letting the client know about it! Two days later, since she hadn't had cut my cuticles before she puts the thick gel coat on and she did not file it right after she put the gel on, the thick gel was coming off around my cuticles. It looked absolutely horrible. One of my nails totally broke. Within 2 days! I wish I had taken pictures before I go and get them re-done by Lee. I went to meet the manager, who claims she is the owner, yesterday, September 3rd. She is the rudest person I have ever met in any business! She said the nails were coming off because I picked them and she knows that because she has 25 years of experience. Well she should also know that there is no way in hell for that glue and gel to come off three days after the nails are done, if they would have done their job right ( cut the cuticles and file the nail good at the end). She re-did my nails. A cockroach was walking on the table and when i mentioned it she pretended she did not see it and she told me with a rude attitude and being ironic that I must be the cleanest person in the world not to have cockroaches in my house. Ummm, just wondering how come these people are still open! Somebody has to call the health inspection to them, and I will be the one! When I told her the nail was cricked, she was speaking her own language with another girl there and mentioning things such as nail, finger and straight in English so I understood she was talking about me. I told her I was offended and what she was doing was rude and she asked me if I was speaking Spanish in front of others?! "Lady" I do not speak Spanish! Yeah, she is that smart! She also said that people have freedom of speech. I don't disagree with that, but if you also have manners, you do not speak any other language in front of your client beside what's spoken in this country, English! I don't even think she knows what manners means. If she had 25 years of experience, my french manicure line wouldn't look as horrible, there wouldn't be "wrinkles" on the white french coat, she wouldn't have made my finger bleed, she would have been more respectful towards her clients, and she wouldn't be lying. She lied about putting the gel at the end. When u put gel at the end it dries instantly. My nails were not dry when I left the salon. So much to read, but trust me, If I had read Dennise's A. review I wouldn't have lost my time, money and I would have been much happier now! Horrible people, especially the manager, and ugly experience! But mostly rude people with a very irritating attitude! I posted some pictures of my nails today, a day after Lee re-did them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE HERE!!! I'm from out of town and was in need to get my nails done. The owner actually did my nails and she was pleasant as far as customer service goes. However, my pointer finger nail is crooked, the shape on my thumbs aren't even coffin shaped I don't want to make a scene but this is service that I PAID for and my expectations were to essentially get what I paid for. So it's been two days and already two nails broke. Which they got fixed for free so I'm appreciative that they recognized the poor quality in which my nails were done In good faith I came back. I was told that my nails would be fixed right away, and one of the ladies removing my nail was damming my nail bed. So they had to soak them off.... I asked about the poor quality of my other nails because of the things I pointed out to the owner not to mention the damage doe to my nails from when they were being filed down two days prior. If I could give 0 stars I Would on the QUALITY OF WORK THEY DO, it's very horrible I will not take away their customer service. DO NOT GO HERE! I am so disappointed. I got a classic mani/pedi, under all the cheap lotion they use it looked just ok upon leaving. The next day it looked worse than before I went in. My skin was hanging from certain places she cut, my cuticles were still there and more visible, and my nails were all uneven and shaped differently. I like having my nails only buffed and not painted. They were not shiny at all, even when I asked her to get new buffer and she went over them about 5 times. My toes felt and looked as if she only cut my nails. My heels were still dry/rough. The worst part that made me cringe, when they cleaned the basin after, it said a cleaner with bleach, but it smelled like glass cleaner. Trust me, don't waste your time and money. I have been here more than once and shame on me. I will never be back, I left in tears and felt as if I was living a nightmare. The "nail tech" whom I was seated with tried prying off my nails!! And when she realized her technique wasn't working she took a small metal scissor and jammed it into the center of my actual nail. It went straight through the nail down to the surface, piercing my flesh. I dont know why I even stayed seated. (I Most likely couldnt move from the agonizing pain) She realized she cut me and decided to just skip over to my other hand. I had a broken nail on my other hand and asked her to please not be so rough on it. She proceeded to use a thick cardboard nail file and scrape it across my broken nail causing it to further rip off the bit of skin it was still attached to. She looked up at me and said "oops" at that point I could bare no more torture. I left horrified and in tears. Thankfully there is a CVS right next door. I bought rubbing alcohol and a first aid kit and doused my destroyed finger nails in the antiseptic. The pain was excruciating. This place is a filthy horrible excuse for a nail salon. The manger nor the associate tearing my fingers apart offered any sort of remorse or concern as I sat in tears. I will never be returning and I hope no one else will after reading this. P.s. This has been unbearable to even go about daily tasks. My nails are completely ruined and frail and I'm praying I don't get some sort of infection from this. *DO NOT GO HERE* Decided try something new, get the dip nails. I stepped in at 5:38. At 6:42 was still working on my nails. Two of the nails were crooked, one finger was too big the other finger was too small. When I kept correcting the nail technician that the nails were too thick for dip nails, she was rushing even more to get me to leave. Which presumably is there a time to go home I told her it's fine I'll just take them off because they're not coming out the way I want them to. She started flipping out in Vietnamese. Then other nail technicians started to come back-and-forth everyone was shouting/screaming in Vietnamese I'm getting super freaked out. I started feeling so uncomfortable because now they're all shouting in a different language and staring at me. She is then yelling out next time talk to the big boss Lee. Gives me a business card with the owners name on it while continuing need to yell in Vietnamese making me feel super uncomfortable. Another nail technician comes over to put cotton on my fingers with foil around it. I can still hear her yelling back and forth to everyone. I ended up walking out and sitting in my car crying because of how horrible the service was. It was my birthday. I went to this place twice... both times I had gel mani and pedi. The pedicure was great both times. But the second time I got my gel nails, the woman barely filed my nails (and when she did, they were uneven). She didn't work on my cuticles. This was a horrible experience. I went in Saturday. Half way though my gel manicure my polish was bubbling I told the lady she said it was fine. She finished I immediately just touched the tip of my nails and it peeled. She fixed one and the rest peeled and I just paid an left. The next day two more broke so I called and asked for a refund and they refused. Come to find out my mother had the same exact experience here. Oh yeah and nothing was sterilized. My nails are always done with care and done right. They make sure to get the complete nail. Sometime if you get maincure and pedicure they will do both at the same time. I like that the do both at same time because I dont like wasting time(but they ask before they do that.) I rather not spend an hour or two at a nail salon. Also if you are direct and nice to the ladies who work there they are very accommodating to make sure that your nails are done to your satisfaction. If you treat them nicely and respectfully they will fix it for you. read more

Worst experience ever, I was in town for business when two of my nails broke (index and thumb). This was the closest nail salon so I walked here. I asked if they would be able to fix my broken nail, I was instantly told yes and that it would cost five dollars, however after removing the broken nails I realized they did not have the proper powder to give me an ombré nude look. Instead they gave me a clear magenta tinted nail which was very misshaped and just plain awful. The girl who removed my broken nail and "fixed" it made me bleed. She filed to close to the side of my nail and hit my skin with the nail drill, which was very painful. She wiped away the blood and pretended nothing happened, She didn't acknowledge anything, she just continued to drill away. After she was done I told her I was not happy with The nail she had replaced, it did not look anything like the others, it did not look good at all. She argued back that it was perfect, I agreed to pay because at that point I no longer want her to touch my nail because I did not trust her with the drill and I was so upset I just wanted to leave. She pretended To not see anything wrong then also proceeded to charge me $10 instead of $5. When I told her I was told it was $5 she said no because I paid with card so it's $10. Everyone that saw the replace said it looked awful and I should have made her fix it or take it off. They wouldn't have paid for it. When I told them that I did not want her to touch my nails again because she made me bleed, everyone was outrage that I paid. I should have made them remove the nails but I really didn't want them to touch my nails again, I waited until I returned home to have the nails removed. this place used to be great and would travel to come here, lately they seem to rush everything gel manicure and pedicure at the same time while holding the drying thing on your lap for your nails. then you end up having 3 people work on you and personally I hate that because you feel like you need to tip all of them which is nuts! This was my first American nail-salon experience. It was very busy since I went there on a Sat. I was able to make an appointment on the same day which was very convenient . I didn't need to wait when I arrived. I really liked the massage chair, although I needed to figure out how it works. I expected more and better feet massage and much better scabbing. I asked for a French pedicure with a clear pearl finish, but the white part was too wide for me and she didn't understand my "pearl" color request (she made me try a white nail polish). The price was 45$, I guess reasonable for a French manicure and pedicure. I would try another place next time. read more
