Are you here because something just went wrong in your house, and you're kind of freaking out? Stop, and call these people. These are your people. Our toilet overflowed and left water in the ceiling. I called them and explained, and Ian worked it out so that he could come check it out the next day. I didn't know the first thing about what to do, how insurance works, needing to immediately mitigate, anything. Ian gave me the honest advice and I can tell you from the other side of mitigation--9 affected areas later--trusting him paid off. Start to finish, everyone we interacted with was down to earth and honest and just was on their shit. As someone who is cynical about business and insurance, these dudes were quite literally like my advocates with the whole process, insurance steps included. They made sure they were there bright and early when the insurance adjuster came.. all of it. I immediately trusted them for advice. At the end, Aris came along just to help us with the next steps of reconstruction--something DryTime doesn't even necessarily do themselves. He just wanted us to be set up for everything. DryTime Restoration was great to work with. We had a pinhole leak on our hot water line under our kitchen that saturated the insulation and wood in our crawlspace. As a new homeowner, I didn't know where to start but they helped throughout the whole process. They thoroughly answered any question I had from start to finish, communicated well, kept a clean site, and even put up a temporary 'zipper-wall' in the kitchen to keep dust out of the rest of the house. The estimator, Aris, was very helpful explaining the process, and most importantly, answering my home-insurance claim questions. With their help, I filed my claim and we had their crew out quickly to fix the issue and dry my basement to prevent damage/mold. The crew lead and workers that came to do the work were polite, professional, and friendly. Once all the heaters/fans/dehumidifiers were in place, they did a daily on-site visit to check equipment and take humidity measurements. They also took ample pictures as documentation for my home insurance claim. I'm glad I was able to connect with DryTime and take care of my home. The hardest part of this whole experience was working with my homeowners' insurance. The insurance company delayed and underpaid; but DryTime communicated with them and collaborated with me to advocate for more payment. This was a combination of DryTime conversing directly with my insurance and talking to me about the process so I was in the loop. Joe Burris at DryTime had several conversations with me well after their work was complete. He helped guide me on how to communicate with my policy holder and educate me on options. I felt they were on my team the whole time and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing this type of work at their home! In February of 2024, while I in the hospital, the pipes froze and cracked in my studio on my property. I was totally unaware until I came home and found a "we suspect a leak "notice on the front door from the water company. I went out and saw water running out of the building next to it, and when I walked in the internal pipes were gushing water from everywhere! I called the City to come shut it off, and they calculated it had been running for more than 2 weeks! Next the plumber, Oregon Plumbing my local and beloved plumber. I called DryTime and they were on sight the next day and began they tear of affected areas and material and began the dry out. Part way through the process insurance denied the claim. I am redoing my initial review. Now that the contractor can start the rehab I am hearing/seeing how the test out was handled. Heating Duct damaged, and the vanity broken not reusable. And. Please get an estimate of the cost! The restoration is twice what it is costing to redo the whole bathroom, heating duct, insulation and vapor barrier. We hired DryTime to remediate water intrusion in the front foyer of our house. After weeks of "work," we had to hire a second company to treat the mold that in our opinion DryTime should have been addressed in the first place. The mold caused me various health issues, including bloody noses, black under-eye circles, migraines, fatigue, and joint aches, all of which are associated with black mold. For that pleasure, DryTime charged us almost $12,000. We were shocked! When we contested the sky-high invoice because, among other things, it was our opinion that they did not complete the work and did not properly identify and treat mold, DryTime filed a claim of lien and sent a revised invoice with an ADDITIONAL $800 in charges related to the lien. Talk about customer service! I submitted a review online that detailed my experience. DryTime then contacted my attorney and threatened a lawsuit if I didn't remove the post. I feel like DryTime is trying to silence me and my concerns, bullying me from detailing my terrible experience with their company. Nevertheless, to avoid incurring significant legal fees fighting DryTime even further, I removed my original post, and have instead submitted this revised post to hopefully protect against a frivolous lawsuit. But I couldn't completely remove my post like DryTime demanded and threatened--people should know about this company. In conclusion, it is my sincere opinion that this company should not be in business. I would not recommend them to anyone in the community. Check out the other negative reviews online. They should be ashamed of themselves. Avoid at all costs. I see the owner replied with some wildly dishonest things himself. We DID have mold issues before he came over. But only after they opened the walls up did I become sick. They did NOT contain the area fully, in fact, they had to come over and fix containment. We had a roof leak that resulted in wet ceiling drywall and the start of mold growth in our attic. Dry Time assessed the situation and quoted us on recovery work. Once we got the roof repaired, Dry Time came back out to remove the damaged drywall and insulation, as well as spray and scrub the wood in the attic affected by mold. Valerie, Josh, and Brian H were all great taking care of the problem quickly and thoroughly. They put down floor protection, isolated the area of work, and got the entire removal and remediation done in one day. They left a dehumidifier running to make sure the attic space wood completely dried. This was a direct payment job, so they left the dehumidifier two days before checking and removing it. The remediation work was excellent, and I'm very pleased with it. We received the bill a few weeks later, and there were several problems with the final bill compared to the estimate. I understand that scope can changing in these situations, but this was more of an issue with inaccurate sizing of line items on the final bill. I called and talked to Justin in the billing department and we worked through the problems and finalized the bill at the quote plus the extra day of dehumidifier. read more

I second Ya Dan C. I wish I had read Yelp reviews before I went with this company. If I could give them less than one star I would. My plumbing company is certainly also going to hear from me because of their recommendation I go with this company. My bathroom received water damage from a plumbing issue. Their representative walked me through the process of filing a claim with State Farm, and told me I would only be responsible for my deductible. The bathroom area they remediated is about 5 feet x 7 feet. They kept telling me the subflooring was not drying. They had multiple huge fans and heaters in this small bathroom and under the house, and called in a electrical company to power them, tore walls down to the studs, the floor down to the subfloor and destroyed the bottom cabinet removing it, along with the toilet. State Farm disputed many of the line items in their $17,000 bill. After 2 months they started sending me a bill with astronomical late fees and interest. I paid my deductible of $2011. They placed a lien against my home for an unpaid bill, even through they were still "negotiating" with State Farm. State Farm has refused to pay more than the $6100 they have so far so DryTime promptly sent me a bill for $9200 after receiving the final payment from the insurance company, including over $1200 in interest, $800+ in late fees (for 4.5 months,) and an $860 lien bill. I have sent DryTime 3 correspondences - postal mail, email, and their online form. They haven't had the decency to even acknowledge my correspondence much less respond. Apparently customers and customer service means nothing to them. I have been forced to obtain an attorney to protect myself from State Farm and DryTime predatory practices. I'm not sure who has been worse during this 5 month nightmare - State Farm or DryTime. I would strongly recommend against using either company. As a reference, the wonderful restoration company, Axis, worked with State Farm, and has done incredible speedy work rebuilding my bathroom. Their work is impeccable. And they did it for less than half of what DryTime charged for tearing it apart. read more

The project was efficiently organized. All workers were pleasant and as helpful as possible.

First the Good: The technicians were prompt, friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. The water damage mitigation went as well as it could have. Things got weird in the billing process. DryTime suggested that I sign an agreement allowing them to bill the insurance company directly. This seemed like a good idea at the time. DryTime sent the invoice on April 12 to my Amica claims adjuster and CC'd me. My first clue that things were about to take a strange turn was that DryTime's invoice was marked 'confidential'. I had never seen this before but they were supposed to be dealing directly with Amica so I didn't pay much attention. On May 17, I was CC'd on another email from DryTime asking for payment. Upon further investigation, I noticed that DryTime had the wrong email address for my Amica adjuster so I sent them the correct one. Amica responded to DryTime with questions and concerns that the adjuster had with their invoice, CCing me. DryTime's response seemed very confrontational. They attacked the credentials of the auditor and refusing to answer those questions. They threatened legal action for breach of confidentiality because the auditor was a third party (even though Amica never agreed to confidentiality) On June 9, I got a call from DryTime telling me to pressure Amica to pay the invoice by June 13 or they will put a lien on my house. On June 10, I got an email from them saying they require payment by the end of the day. Amica still did not have the information they required so they would not pay the claim yet. This resulted in DryTime submitting the lien. In my opinion the lien was just a bullying tactic. Like there were trying to force payment without the adjuster's process. Amica had already expressed in writing that this was a covered claim. There was never any question about whether or not they would pay the bill. Now there is a lien in the public record for my home. Even though it is paid and released, I will have to explain it when I sell this house. I'm furious about this. I feel like I made two mistakes: forgetting to demand a lien waiver and choosing DryTime. I watched a similar process play out on the builld-back side of the project. My contractor submitted an estimate to Amica, Amica responded with questions and disputed a couple of things. My contractor explained why those things were necessary and answered the questions and Amica fully funded the project. It was all pretty straightforward and professional. So I don't think Amica was the problem here. If you do decide to use DryTime, reject the confidentiality nonsense in writing and demand a lien waiver in advance. If I ever have another leak, I'm not sure who I will call but I know who I will not call. read more

Dry Time is a scam operation. My experience with the owner Ben, who as others have said is a relentless bully (who curates his Yelp and Google reviews, by the way- more on that later), came when we were shocked by the bill we received. We had a leak in the ceiling over the weekend, and could not reach an adjuster. Dry Time comes out at all hours, which is great until you realize they are going to prey on your vulnerability. in our case, they set up a small dehumidifier, quoted me a reasonable quote for the rental, and said they'd come back on Monday. when the insurance adjuster reached out and I told him we hired Dry Time, he asked if I'd hired them before. I said no, and he said you're about to receive an extremely high bill, much higher than insurance will cover for reasonable costs. Lo and behold, that reasonable rate I was quoted by Adam was about 3x as much. additionally, Dry Time m makes you sign a contract which obligates you to pay in full within a very short time or you will be sent to collections. Because the adjuster knew we didn't have any options, he agreed to pay Dry Time minus a few hundred dollars, much more than they ordinarily would have paid. We fired Dry Time right away and braced ourselves for the bill. The insurance sent over their network contractor, they brought several gigantic dehumidifiers and fans, and set them up on two house levels. Dry Time set up one tiny unit, inadequate to dry the moisture, and charged a premium. I contacted Ben to discuss this and this is when Ben's true nature came out. He is bullying and vindictive, and not operating in good faith. I asked for him to accept the insurance payment without charging us excess... and then his tone changed. Suddenly he was reasonable. Ben says if we signed something which says we'd agree never to leave a bad review, he would waive the fee. I wonder how many times he has done this with other customers? This business is bad news all around. stay away. You have been warned. read more

Due to a faulty HVAC, I've had 3 leaks in my house since i moved in 3 years ago. Twice I used ServePro. Once I used Drytime. Drytime charged me so much money my insurance company had to bring in mediation. They also never sent me a bill, so when the payment was lost, I had no idea they hadn't received it, and I was sent to collections where I received nearly 4k in fees. Mind you, my insurance was paying, so all I had to know was that they hadn't received it and it could have been resolved. Servepro, on the other hand, sent their bills prompty and charged under 2k for each instance. Drytime is shady. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. read more

Beware, DryTime Restoration has a "F" rating with the BBB and they are NOT accredited. DryTime was called to dry out my 35 sq ft bathroom after a 2 day water leak. DryTime was referred by My Plumber Now stating they were a great business. I signed some contracts with DryTime to allow them to start the work. DryTime NEVER gave me an estimate of how much the job would cost. I was assured my insurance company would pay all the charges, they did not. DryTime charged $10,042.90 for this very small job and my insurance company was only willing to pay $6,038.09. I knew it was a just a matter of time before they came after me for the balance. Dry Time's own paperwork states, "Have a written contract with your contractor. A written contract is required for projects greater than $2000.00. An original contractor that fails to provide a written contract as required by law, may not place a construction lien against the owner's property." By not providing an estimate, DryTime is in breach of their own contract. DryTime should not have charged over the $2,000.00 because NO estimate was provided. Because NO estimate was provided, DryTime felt they could charge what ever they wanted to. However, NO estimate...NO legal contract! DryTime lures the homeowner into believing there is a legal contract, places an illegal lien on their home to get the homeowner to pay the balance. DryTime is a predatory business and should be avoided. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and will be filing a complaint with the CCB. read more
