What started out as a "treat" when I was engaged - a blowout before wedding related events - has…read morevery easily become my weekly routine. Morgan has been doing my hair weekly for 3 years now. I have thick hair, and while it was short, it is now very long (down to my waist) and Morgan has not only made me feel gorgeous even on my worst days (and she's seen them!) but the care and attention she gives my hair means it's healthier than ever. I go an entire week between washes, and I work out daily with extensive cardio. Whether she is curling my hair or doing a full body blow out, I always leave loving it. I always hated blowing out my own hair, and I'm so happy I never will again now that I've found Blowouts.

This is a pricey salon ($200-300, gratuity included, for a cut and color), but when you invest with…read morethe right stylist, you get more than the service you pay for. I've cut and colored my hair at home for ~20 years between sporadic/infrequent visits to budget salons to fix mistakes (both netting mediocre results at best). I leave each of my appointments at Ello Pretty confident, with healthy hair and a cut designed for low-effort maintenance + sustainable grow-out. I understand that not everybody feels comfortable walking into the space (I don't love feeling like a misfit in a room full of confident babes, either), but once I'm in the chair, I completely forget there's anyone else around; Lauren treats me like an MVP every visit and I genuinely feel like I'm having a conversation with an old friend. Never do I feel judged, nor like I'm boring her or wasting her time. I don't feel forced into uncomfortable small talk since the conversation flows so naturally; she's smart, professional, and sincerely cool. It's worth reiterating that the price of your visit ALSO includes intangibles like active listening. Lauren encourages me to share my ideas, photos, million questions, and requirements before we start. Any concerns, re: texture, length, complimenting my skin or face shape, color, maintenance, styling, etc. are addressed fully and thoroughly, and she checks in with me several times throughout the appointment to make sure we're still headed in the right direction/achieving the results I want, offering me the control to change my mind, ask questions, or fine-tune along the way. Never have I felt so in control of my appearance, nor had as much trust in the person doing the work - she always knocks it out of the park. The wait to see her can be long, so once you're sold, book an entire series of appointments!

First of all- McKenzie was SUPER conscious of what Jasmine did with with my hair so we could replicate the results for my wedding. She was very knowledgeable (about literally EVERYTHING. She is a great conversationalist, from beginning to end) and gives an amazing cut and color. What I love is the integrity. Yes- I used McKenzie this time because Jasmine was out- but she made sure to honor her coworker and book me with Jasmine next time. As someone who has worked in spas for 10 years- this is very honorable. I got a chance to see the owner. She is too sweet and you can see she cares about her business and employees. I can say I would recommend all three women. They all have massive experience. You're in great hands!!

I was…read morespecifically looking forward to getting a blowout along with their Liquid Glass Glossing Treatment. While the blowout service was good, I was disappointed to learn that they were out of the glossing treatment when I arrived on a Saturday. What made this especially frustrating was that the product was still available for purchase for at-home use, so I was surprised that the salon didn't have enough inventory to offer the treatment itself. If you're planning to book a specific service, it may be worth calling ahead to confirm availability. Overall, the experience was decent, but the lack of availability for a service I was excited to try was disappointing.

She gave me so much time on the day of my trial, honoring my desire to try different looks and take feedback about what I liked and didn't like, and even was willing to do another trial just so I could experience multiple options of an updo vs. a glam wave. I already loved the time I had spent with Caitlin in her salon but the energy that she and Megan brought on the morning of the wedding was more than I could have asked for. They made everyone feel so comfortable, including members of my bridal party that didn't have experience getting their hair done or felt a little awkward. They were so receptive to different ideas and made everyone's hair dreams come true. They were incredibly efficient and we got done in the perfect amount of time. And the hair and makeup itself! My updo was exquisite and lasted all night long with no problems. Similarly, the makeup looked gorgeous throughout the night.
