I paid 15$ because I thought he did a great job. Very attentive and fun to talk to, yet like a good barber you can also sit there in silence and not feel the need to make small talk. Only downside is you can't make an appointment so it's a first come first serve. Other than that 5 stars! One of the better haircuts I have ever gotten. Also don't be afraid of the small dingy storefront and old sign. The inside is very beautiful and well kept (see photos).

They have a cancellation policy which is not uncommon. once when I have canceled before close to my appointment, they called back and charged me on the card. This seems usual for many businesses so it was fine. Next time had an appointment within 24 hours (the next day), but my father-in-law got sick and had to be hospitalized. This was a 911 kind of emergency, the day before my appointment in the afternoon I called them immediately to let them know what had happened -- this is the day before my appointment. Nonetheless next time during my visit they wanted me to pay the cancellation charge because it was within the 24 hour policy as the owner kept insisting ( I called later in the afternoon the day before and the appointment was later in the morning the day after). The owner mentioned that it's not fair to other customers -I'm just wondering where is the equity and fairness issue for a client like me who calked a day earlier and had a Medical emergency to deal with. Irrespective of good products and standard service, this is how unfortunate it was and I don't see the right business policy, personal touch or client oriented attitude in this. That too I was charged the next time I went to see them!!! Wow!!!! I am appalled!!!

I'm on a journey to revive my once curly hair that is now lifeless and stringy due to a bad dye job from a previous salon. From reading the reviews, I knew the stylist at Aruverde were my only hope. When I called to schedule the appt they didn't have any availability for three months. But that didn't deter me, it only spoke to how good the stylist are if they are this booked. So finally, the actual day of my appt arrives and I arrive at the salon only to be warmly greeted by all of the staff members. The salon was adorable, with a high end look but made you feel comfortable. Simony, the owner, tended to my mane. She did wonderful and was very knowledgeable about her craft. We came up with a game plan to get me to my end goal. My next appt is in June and I can't wait to go back and see how my hair has progressed. I cannot recommend this salon enough. These stylist care about the integrity of your hair more than simple fixes or doing a style that will damage your hair. Simony flat out told me that she will never agree to do something to my hair that will damage it and I like stylist that aren't scared to say NO. Give this spot a try, you won't regret it.

I've cut and colored my hair at home for ~20 years between sporadic/infrequent visits to budget salons to fix mistakes (both netting mediocre results at best). I leave each of my appointments at Ello Pretty confident, with healthy hair and a cut designed for low-effort maintenance + sustainable grow-out. I understand that not everybody feels comfortable walking into the space (I don't love feeling like a misfit in a room full of confident babes, either), but once I'm in the chair, I completely forget there's anyone else around; Lauren treats me like an MVP every visit and I genuinely feel like I'm having a conversation with an old friend. Never do I feel judged, nor like I'm boring her or wasting her time. I don't feel forced into uncomfortable small talk since the conversation flows so naturally; she's smart, professional, and sincerely cool. It's worth reiterating that the price of your visit ALSO includes intangibles like active listening. Lauren encourages me to share my ideas, photos, million questions, and requirements before we start. Any concerns, re: texture, length, complimenting my skin or face shape, color, maintenance, styling, etc. are addressed fully and thoroughly, and she checks in with me several times throughout the appointment to make sure we're still headed in the right direction/achieving the results I want, offering me the control to change my mind, ask questions, or fine-tune along the way. Never have I felt so in control of my appearance, nor had as much trust in the person doing the work - she always knocks it out of the park. The wait to see her can be long, so once you're sold, book an entire series of appointments!

After some recommendations I ended up at Salon De Moda. And boy am I glad I did ! Why make an appointment if I have to wait ? No waiting here. The salon is super clean and very inviting. The workstations look like tool boxes and they have all kinds of neat decor. I was entertained just looking around. Onto the hair experience, I was taken care of by Tanya who is also the owner. What a lovely woman. She did a consultation first which and advised me on what to do to make My hair look full but not have to get it done all the time. I was there for an hour and a half in which my hair was cut and highlighted. This is an hour less Than I've spent at other salons. I was offered a drink which is nice when your just sitting around waiting for color to set. The other stylists are friendly also and every one that walked by said hello and chatted with me for a bit. What a great experience. I can't talk price since it differs for everyone depending on what you have done and kind of hair you have but I can tell you it was reasonable. I love my hair. I would highly recommend going there if your looking for a Hairdresser. Tanya was awesome and I will see her again but I'm sure the other stylist are just as great. I was hesitant as I had never gotten extensions before and everyone told me they wouldn't help but Kelley reassured me she could fix the bangs. She also adjusted the price since I was mostly getting extensions in the front instead of my whole head, making it more manageable. Kelley placed the extensions right under the bangs which helped them blend and made them nearly invisible when brushed and styled. The extra hair allowed me to finally put the bangs behind my ears since they were about eye length. These extensions lasted me from September to December and I even dyed and cut them twice (at a hairdresser this time, don't worry). If you are on the fence about extentions or want your bangs gone like me I highly recommend Kelley. She is an extremely wise person that you can trust with your hair and money! Kelley is professional, patient, and kind. I always look forward to her services and our great conversations.

First of all, Kelley is a fantastic, beautiful, down to earth woman and I am so #blessed that getting my lashes done has sparked a friendship and someone I can confide in! Second, the quality of her work is outstanding. Everyone ALWAYS compliments me on my lashes. She does a wonderful job switching up the style to see what you like most and what works best with your face structure. Also, I haven't gotten my lashes filled since May 16... it's July 1 and I'm STILL getting compliments on them.. they just look super natural and whisky and have not damaged my real lashes. May 16 I also got Tape In extensions (first time, only used clip ins before) and I will never go back to anything else. She is quick and her work is perfect! They still look great, but I'm thinking of getting keralink next. Lastly, Kelley also has an extensive makeup collection and is SO good at doing makeup regardless of complexion/skin tone/etc. Her prices are extremely fair and she always has yummy snacks and great movies for when you're in the chair.
