Ladies if you are in need of some pampering or just a nice confidence boost a blow out is totally worth it. I almost canceled my appointment due to a rough morning but I didn't and I'm so glad it was just what I needed to put a smile on my face and remind me how to due my hair lol I had been lazy with it. So happy I went!

Wasn't sure what to think about this place, but I was always curious. I'm so glad to have had the opportunity! The receptionist was awesomely, friendly and helpful as well as my stylus Roxy. We felt like old friends by the end of the service. The shampoo bowl was my favorite part where I could relax and get that deep scalp massage. The styling options to choose from are named after cocktails which is pretty fun And their products are amazing! My hair, being curly, usually full of knots, but their products work like magic! They offer a membership where you can go twice a month, which is pretty cool if you have an active social life. Great location in the third ward. It was a very special experience and I highly recommend.

Disappointed in the lack of communication during a recent visit. I used a discount code online that has been regularly advertised to me on social media. The discount went through upon booking, but the owner removed the discount from my booking without notifying me. The removal wasn't even acknowledgement when I went to pay, I had to ask the question. Turns out I had previously used the code and it was one time use...which is totally fine, but the could have easily been communicated via email or text before my appointment to avoid any questions or disappointment upon payment. I am a regular drybar customer and Drybar regularly texts when you're a couple minutes late or to ask you to come in early, a text message could have easily been sent to explain the discount removal. Instead of creating an awkward situation for customers, which could have been easily avoided. So general PSA for anyone using the online discount codes, they're one time use and the code will be removed. Nevertheless, the front desk attendant was great, as was my stylist, Charles, was great as well. It really is dependent on the stylist, but my last few experiences have been pretty good. The quality of my blowout was great, but I would remove a half star if I were able for lack of communication and putting their customer in a awkward position.

Cheers to a day of pampering! Cute and cozy space in the heart of the 3rd Ward. The staff was super friendly, though I did have to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time. My stylist did a great job listening to what I was looking for, and customizing my style to my hair texture. The glass of bubbly offered during my appointment was also a great touch! Drybar is a great spot for a special occasion hairdo, or if you just need a little pick-me-up to get through your work week!

This is my second DryBar experience and can say confidently that it lived up to the high standard set by my first in Lexington, KY. Lizzie gave a great shampoo and nice conversation until the dryer came out. Can't really talk through that sound! She gave me exactly what I hoped -clean, beautiful, smooth and bouncy hair. Everyone seems to work well together -there's a cooperative and kind vibe in this space. There was a mix up with my appointment time and Carson (the manager) was apologetic and fixed things for me. I'll return when I'm back in this area. Try it!

Y'all! Dry bar MKE makes you feel like an absolute diva! I went there today on a whim and they knocked it outta the park. Its essentially a blow dry and styling bar but it is so much more. They take tou through all the steps after you choose a type and make sure they explain all the products they put in your hair. They take your hair very seriously and make sure to use very good quality, carefully vetted products. The hairstylist was very good at explaining the process and always checked in with me about the temperature of the water/dryer. They are very good at sanitizing after every customer and wear masks the whole time. If you ever need a pick me up or treat yoself moment: Try Drybar! Only thing that was unfortunate: their app is only for Iphones ..womp womp

This was my First time ever experiencing dry bar. I was a little skeptical because I have insanely curly thick hair, and I'm use to not everyone knowing how to manage it. But i had an over all great experience with my hair stylist. She knew exactly what I wanted and made it look amazing. I've never kept my hair soo straight for soo long. It lasted me a whole week before I had to wash it and say goodbye. Wish I had before pictures...

I've been going natural with no chemicals on my hair for a few years and as an African American woman it's definitely hard to find someone that can do my hair well. Although my stylist was newer to the salon she had some good techniques and did a good job. I would say I was over all pleased but you can always tell the difference when a stylist has more experience. Where I would have liked to see more customer service would have been to explain more of their services, the process and what products she was using. It was my first time at any dry bar so it was a little awkward but it's a fairly simple process so I just went with the flow. I may have to read through more reviews to find a stylist that would be best suited for me here. I think it's a great price and has some good monthly subscription-like options. Overall very clean facility and nice staff.

Life is a journey. Part of that journey for me is continuing to learn. Today, I learned that my baby fine hair cannot hold a style at all when it is humid. Here in Wisconsin you can't predict the weather. And when I went to leave the house for my appointment at Drybar today, I knew that it might be a little dicey. It was humid as heck. I got there a little early and saw some other customers with thick long locks getting blowouts. They all looked amazing. And the entire place smells so good from the products they use here. The receptionist was super nice and greeted us immediately. My stylist took me exactly on time, which was great. And she guided me through selecting one of their styles. I have short fine hair and I should have stuck to a straight style but I liked the idea the stylist presented to try something a little more beachy and casual. So I went for it. First stop was the shampoo station and it was a height adjustable bowl, which was perfect, since I am tall. I was able to relax for a bit during my shampoo which was great. Then next was the drying portion. The stylist applied product to protect my hair and give volume and then dried in sections. I have scalp like iron, but very tender headed people hopefully won't attempt this process. They do have to tug a little while they blow out your hair. I didn't mind at all. Lastly she curled my hair and then loosened the curl a little. Then she finished with styling spray. It looked ok, but wasn't what I was used to. But I am not the "target audience" for a blowout - I think the styles looked amazing on the longer-haired clients that were in the other chairs. She even helped me take a couple pics with my daughter (who came with but didn't get styled) for this review. Unfortunately it was raining when we left. I should have accepted the umbrella they offered. Instead I covered my head with a sweatshirt and ran for it. That was a bad idea. When I got in the car, I was already looking pretty "tousled." By 3 hours later there was almost no evidence of curl left. I can still smell the fabulous smell of their signature products in my hair and I loved the experience of it all. Maybe next time I will bring my own heavy duty hairspray. It's stiff and doesn't smell great but it holds a little longer. If I had thicker and longer hair I would be at DryBar weekly. It is a wonderful pampering experience.

Ask the Community - Drybar - Milwaukee

Hey just wondering if black women natural hair have been done here before?

Absolutely! We do all hair types and textures. Our business model is more of a quick in and out service (45 minutes) If you feel your hair may take a little extra time, please call us instead of booking on the app so we can make sure to block out… Read more

What is the duration of a blow out service? It includes wash, dry and thermal style of choice right?

It takes between 45-60 minutes on average (depending on the length of your hair) and includes wash, dry and style.

How much for a blowout? It does not say on the website. Thanks!

I believe the base fee is $40. If you want to add a braid they charge a little extra. You can also get discounts during your birthday month!

My daughter went to Rylie for hair extension installation expecting professional work and left with severely damaged hair that she is now struggling to repair. From the start, the process felt rushed and careless and Rylie had a nasty attitude. The extensions were installed with excessive tension, improper placement, and zero concern for the health of the natural hair. Within days, my daughter experienced intense scalp pain, breakage, and noticeable hair loss. Instead of enhancing her hair, this service destroyed it. She now has uneven patches, weakened strands, and damage that will take months--if not longer--to recover from. A hair extension install should never leave someone afraid to touch or brush their own hair. Final Warning Do not go to Rylie for extensions Do not trust her with your natural hair Do not ignore the red flags If you care at all about the health of your hair, take your money elsewhere. No hairstyle is worth this level of damage and stress. I'm sharing this so others are spared the same outcome.

I was a long-term client whose regular stylist was on maternity leave. During that time, communication from the salon was extremely poor -- messages went unanswered and there was no clear system for managing or transitioning clients. Because of this lack of communication, I ultimately sought services elsewhere. At that appointment, a licensed stylist evaluated a recent full reinstallation of my top row of extensions performed at this salon and identified a serious concern with the installation. I was informed that the weft contained too little extension hair, resulting in too much of my natural hair being pulled into a single attachment point, creating unsafe tension at the scalp and a risk of traction damage or hair loss if left in longer. This was not an overdue install. It was a recent, full reinstallation. Notably, my bottom row -- which had not been serviced for months (my decision) -- did not show the same level of tension, further indicating the issue stemmed from the installation itself rather than normal wear or timing. This was especially alarming given that the salon recommends repeated "move-ups" (approximately $200 per row), which another stylist explained can compound tension over time and increase the risk of damage when an install is already compromised. When I attempted to ask questions and communicate concerns during my appointment with the stylist, Rylie, who performed the service, the responses felt passive-aggressive and dismissive, making it difficult to advocate for my hair health or feel supported. After leaving an initial, carefully worded review, the salon responded not with accountability, but with defensive and threatening language, including statements that my review was "malicious," "unfounded," and "legally documented." This response was deeply disappointing and reinforced my decision to no longer trust this business with my hair or concerns. I am sharing this experience so other clients can make informed decisions -- particularly those receiving extension services where technique and scalp health are critical. Be aware and do not go especially if you're spending the investment on extensions!!!

I showed pictures of what I wanted including pictures of myself with a haircut I got while travelling. The stylist cut my hair minimally at first that I had to ask for it shorter especially in the back and ended up with a weird shape that I had to ask to be fixed. Maybe I should have showed the photos again, but I thought that the hair dresser was considering those and knew what I was talking about. She started to cut it way shorter in the bangs that I specifically was fine with and had to tell her to stop cutting that area to prevent her from doing more damage. In the end, one side of my bangs are much shorter than the other and have a really weird shape to them with completely different lengths in what should be the same length areas. The back was uneven and it was choppy all over to the point that when I got home, I had to take scissors to it myself like a razor just to prevent it from looking botched in a way that seems like I was the one who messed up my own hair. I have been unhappy with this place
