If I need a massage, I am always hitting up the Knick. I have treated myself to a birthday massage every year for my birthday, never returning to the same spa until I landed at the Knick. The spa is so cozy and provides a very relaxed feel, you even can choose from various aromas. Hands down the best facial I've ever had. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. Carly took the time to understand my skin's needs. My skin felt deeply cleansed, hydrated, and glowing immediately after. The techniques during the facial were so relaxing! I highly recommend! This was truly the best massage I've ever experienced. I went here for a 75 minute massage. The location is cute inside the Knick hotel lobby portion of the building past the restaurant. The receptionist was so nice and welcoming, they had a variety of available products for sale at affordable prices. The facilities were clean, well taken care of and organized. The massage room was tucked away in the back area of the salon. The massage was personalized and my masseuse Zoe was very approachable for questions. My only note was the buildings air conditioner was not working temporarily so the salon was having to make it work with air conditioning units. read more

The service providers were amazing. However, I scheduled the service package for my friend and I to be in the same room, as we were celebrating her birthday and wanted to chit chat during our massage and facials. When we arrived we were brought to separate rooms for our massage and facials and were told the shared room was booked for a couples massage. This was a big disappointment and not the experience I was hoping for. The service providers felt bad but there was nothing they could do at that point. Then, in the same visit, I was overcharged. I purchased 2 spa packages for $230 each but was charged for the services separately for some reason, and it cost nearly $100 more than the package. I called this morning to inquire and correct this and was told they would take care of it and that a manager would call me. I just checked my credit card account and no change has yet occurred and no one has yet contacted me about this. It's such a shame that these talented service providers have their reputations on the line when it's office processes and mistakes that are happening. I received the best treatment I've ever had at the Knick Salon. I was in Milwaukee just for the weekend while my husband attended a conference. I treated myself to a 60 minute facial, 30 minute scalp treatment and 30 minute back facial. Dresha was amazing. Wedding hair and makeup was wonderful. I was staying at the hotel and my sister-in-law was getting her hair and makeup done for her wedding here and recommended it. I booked an appointment once I booked my hotel room, which was months in advance. I was able to get my hair and full airbrush makeup done, to include the lashes. I was really happy with the outcome! wish i could give it 0 stars. Robert was not professional at all. didn't ask me if i had any previous color on my hair, used a blow dryer on my foils to "speed up" the bleaching process, got water in my ears and down my neck while washing, and i left the salon with half wet poofy hair (did not style it at all). getting a refund because i left with stripes in my hair. don't recommend Robert. hair is very damaged and dry now. had to completely redye it. waste of time and money. read more

I've been getting my hair cut at the Knick Salon & Spa for about seven years, and the result has always been stylish and professionally delivered. Plus, the price for a haircut now is no more than what it was when I first became a client. The Knick also offers massages, facial treatments and nail services. They carry vegan and organic products, and offer a loyalty rewards program. A couple times a year I cash in my points towards some Intelligent Nutrients products. I've always been able to find free street parking for my 5:30 appointments. Credit cards are accepted as payment however be prepared to bring cash for a tip. I go to Knick Salon & Spa every other week for massages! The service is amazing (I go to Sara C and she is THE BEST) and the package prices are affordable. I always feel amazing walking out of the salon and the massages have immensely helped a pinched nerve I had. The Knick was WONDERFUL on accommodating me for my birthday over the weekend! Three of us had a full day of spa services! Gave this salon two chances and will not be back. One stylist over-processed my hair by leaving color on for 3 hours, creating so much breakage and damage that it will take another year to return to normal. I tried another stylist but he was out an extended period of time for health reasons and the salon didn't inform me of this until the morning of my appointment when they cancelled. The only other stylist they had available instead was the one who had over-processed and greatly damaged my hair the first time. read more

Eh... I got the facial where they choose the products based on what you tell them. I got in at 6:30, waited 15 minutes to go back, and finished at 7:28. I booked it for a 60 minute facial. They gave me 10% off for the missed time. It felt like she was putting too small of product on and rubbed it then realized it wasn't enough then put more on her hand. Within what felt like 5 seconds later it was rubbed off and that process continued for the entire time. Sure she used some utensils which was nice. She put a facemask on and we both sat there for 10 minutes doing nothing, felt like she could have massaged my arms or something. She also never put product on my neck or chest or really even under my chin even though I had to put on a robe that we just above my cleavage. Wouldn't go back and not sure if I'd recommend. read more
