We checked in at the gift shop but then headed down the stairs to the salon itself, where water, tea, coffee or mimosas were waiting for you. After a few moments, our massage therapists greeted us and walked us back to the room and talked to each of us separately to understand what our sore areas were and what we needed most from our session. I've had quite a few massages in my life and this was hands down the best massage! She was gentle yet effective at getting out the knots and relaxing all of the sore muscles I had. I would easily come back to Well Spa for the massage alone! It was pure heaven. When it was over, even 80 minutes flies by too fast, we were offered water or tea and headed back to the waiting room where special Valentine's Day macaroons waited for us with our drinks. The pedicure was also very relaxing and my nail tech was extremely detail oriented and friendly! I appreciated her input to help ensure the color I chose was as vibrant as the bottle looks by using a darker color as a base. My feet are so soft and the nails look perfect! Both the massage and the pedicure made for an absolutely amazing day and I'm so happy Well Spa & Salon were able to provide services with friendly & talented staff that made the day so perfect and more than I could've imagined! Upon check in, we were offered refreshments, from water to mimosas. The afternoon started with a deep tissue massage. My therapist, Debbie did an incredible job identifying knots and working them out. The entire experience was very calming. After the massage, we had appointments for pedicures. Sara was great and did an excellent job pampering my feet. The paraffin wax treatment also provided comfort to my ankles which take a beating from running. We'll be back for sure.

She rearranged her first appointment that I was going to run into. 2 hours in we weren't even close to done. The front desk asked if she would be available for her 7 pm appointment and she said she wouldn't be finished until 7:30. My appointment started at 4:45 pm. I left around 7:40 pm and was satisfied with the results but I didn't get any designs that would warrant the appointment taking 3 hours. I am writing this at 10:45 the following morning and one of the nails already popped off. Very disappointing since I am going on an 8 day vacation and now can't fix this. I wish the tech had offered an alternative if she wasn't able to do my nails this way.

I actually thought the place seemed very clean given it's humble furnishings (plus i was able to watch Brenda clean the station after and she did a very thorough job). I can sympathize with the other reviewers in that the basement was a bit chilly though but they did have a space heater going. I was allowed to pick a dvd to watch and then Brenda got to work starting with the pedicure. She was very meticulous in her approach, which i appreciated, and the products they used on me were wonderful. I also got a paraffin treatment too and my feet felt like heaven. My shellac manicure went great as well. My nails are very short and i was anticipating maybe the same experience as the other reviewers regarding filing but i didn't! She was gentle and followed my instruction about shape and cuticles. Brenda also kept asking if i liked everything, searching for reassurance that she was meeting my needs. All in all im glad i didnt read the reviews prior to coming or buying my groupon. Brenda did a great job and was very accommodating. The picture i uploaded was from today, 3/5, and i got my manicure on 3/1- 4 days in and still looking great.
