Rigatoni bolognese

What a cute local spot! We've been meaning to come for ages, and saw they had been recently featured on a Diners, Drive in's and Dives episode. The cocktails were fabulous. The chicken oysters appetizer was just okay, the patatas bravas portion of it was absolutely delicious though. The Caribbean fish & chips was also just okay (didn't care for the avocado tarter sauce) but the rigatoni bolognese entree was absolutely delicious! Perfect date night spot.

The Wings were very good and the Ceviche was really unique and tasty. First time I ever had mint in Ceviche. I liked it. Service was great.

Never judge a book by it's cover, not too extravagant or any flashy ads. This place need to be advertised more! My sister came twice in a month, I knew something good was cooking. Came in with reservation ( highly encouraged ) since their bar is kind of small and there are a couple of tables. We were sat promptly with Mara. Starting from the tostones, WOW. I was telling my boyfriend in south america we eat plantains like this, "pintones" between still being toston and a little hint of sweetness. It was so good i had to order one for myself, didn't want to share anymore Lionfish ceviche was also a repeated item. This had flavour, had citrus, had balance of the fresh fish. It is a must. The tartare came in a grilled onion peel, which made it so good since it is sweet and the tartare has its steak flavor. It was really good. Coming from a person who doesnt eat much chicken and i am the worst judging when it comes out dry or well, plain. Not here. The wings are really good! Definitely thinking of going back. This place needs more recognition!

We came for their Happy Hour, and Driftwood truly stands out from other restaurants. The difference between a craft cocktail and a basic mixed drink is exactly what sets them apart. Their Mother of Dragons is hands down the BEST cocktail I've ever had. They make the dragon fruit juice fresh, strain it, and finish it with black volcanic salt around the rim, topped with a slice of dragon fruit for presentation. Such a nice touch. The service was excellent--attentive without being overbearing. The sweet and sour cauliflower was our favorite appetizer. The sauce was creative and clearly made in-house, not your typical out-of-the-bottle version. I really appreciate the intentional effort they put into their recipes. It's not a cheap place to eat (we've been here several times for dinner), but the quality and ambience make it worthwhile.

Driftwood offers a great variety of seating options, the bar area, indoors and out on their inviting patio, which makes it an easy choice whether you're looking for a cozy meal or a more open, relaxed vibe. Service, however, was a bit hit or miss. Our waitress seemed to disappear for much of the evening and never mentioned the specials, which was disappointing. Meanwhile, the waiter attending the table next to us provided above-and-beyond service, making the contrast hard to ignore. We ordered the Tilefish and the shrimp and grits, both were well-prepared and flavorful. Heads up the sauce is very heavy on the grits. The sauce was amazing that was served with the Tilefish fish. The portion sizes were very generous and easily large enough to share, which added solid value to the meal.

We went last night for the last-minute family dinner. Service was impeccable. Upon arrival, we did not know, but it was tiki Thursday and the space was decorated with lei's everywhere while thematic Hawaiian music played. It was so fun and great. My cocktail was wonderful and beautifully handcrafted. Our server was amazing at answering any questions and making suggestions. Our food was beautifully seasoned. They changed the way that the chicken liver pate is served and at first this threw us off, but in the end we liked it and would still order again however, we miss the mousse like texture of the old one which was not served cold in a pot. If you love a good cocktail and restaurants that support local food check it out!

Reserved Driftwood for dinner with some friends. As I entered, seemed like a popular spot as every table was occupied. Started with an amazing cocktail drink highly recommended by our server. We tried the crispy cauliflower, shrimp and grits, seabass, papas fritas and for dessert their date cake. Overall had a great experience and food was interesting.

Spending two weeks in South Florida for work, my wife and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary at Driftwood simply because of its high rating online. Walking in, the design looks like a more upscale Applebee's, but once the food came, we were won over. Here's our experience. 1) Food: The menu changes often as they try to source from local farmers. To feed us both, we ordered the Boudin Balls, Okra, Milk Bread, Ceviche, and the Roasted Cabbage Red Curry. Everything single dish was presented well and the unique flavors worked well with the texture. The standouts were the Ceviche with passion fruit and the Roasted Cabbage. Our eight-year-old daughter appreciated the kids menu. The pasta is a large portion and she devoured it. For dessert, we all got the brownie. We weren't sad about it. 2) Drinks: The margarita with a tajin rim was refreshing and my wife enjoyed the Old Fashioned. For our second drink, we got their two Sauvignon Blancs, including the orange one from France. Our daughter enjoyed her lemonade. 3) Service: From start to finish, it was excellent. Our food was perfectly timed and our water glasses always full. As an FYI, they add a 20% service charge on the bill, which we're used to coming from Washington, D.C.

Five Stars all the way, and well worth the price ... Don't be deceived by the outside, or even the casual feel as you enter ... this is five star culinary deliciousness masked as a low-key joint (with upscale dining prices) ... but so absolutely divine. The dishes are very unique, often changing ... the crevice was mouthwatering, bu the steak was one of the best we've ever had. So tender. So perfectly cooked. Not all the appetizers work. They definitely tried and failed on one or two of them ... but not enough to sour the meal. It's our second time and our go to now when visiting the area. Can't say enough good things.

Honestly Driftwood is the kind of restaurant that offers high quality, locally sourced, well prepared food for the healthy-conscious foodie - and that's me. First, Paul had his Old Fashioned cocktail to start. He totally enjoyed it. There was a nice selection of cocktails and wine to choose from. Then we shared the Cerviche as an appetizer- Ben, our sweet and adept waiter, mentioned that this was one of their newly prepared items on their menu. It was in a very lemony citrus marinade - extremely tart. There is an $8 charge if you want bread. I'm sure it's homemade if you order it. In a way I'm glad that it's not gratis because I don't want to be tempted by it. Afterwards, our entrees were delivered with lovely presentation. I had the very locally sourced Swordfish - LOCAL SWORDFISH (from fort lauderdale) blackened cauliflower, beluga lentils, preserved lemon $40 [GF]. It was delicious! Paul ordered the very tender short ribs - SMOKED QUINCEY CATTLE SHORTRIB (chiefland) jerk rubbed, glazed yuca, jackfruit seed escovitch, crispy okra $42 [GF] - notice how interesting their ingredients are. He personally felt it was a bit too salty. I tasted the dish and didn't feel that way - to each his own. Afterwords, we gave in to a wonderful dessert: the warmed cornbread with wild blueberries, buttermilk ice cream - Warm Cornbread buttermilk ice cream, blueberries, local bee pollen $12. This was a nice portion and luscious to the last bite. We also had decaf cappuccino which was served in a small coffee cup. It hit the spot! We sat outside on the beautifully decorated for the holidays deck. It was whimsical. The place was extremely busy- their parking lot was full but I was lucky to get a spot at the Sherwin Williams lot next door. The venue is directly on Federal Highway and you can hear the cars whizzing by. However they have a natural fence separating the street from the patio. The noise factor wasn't that much of an issue. The pricing is a bit on the high side, however they are part of the InKind community. This is an app which doesn't cost a penny to its customers. However it saves you 20% on every meal. You just pay your check via the app using your own credit card. It's another incentive to come here. It first drew me here and now we are customers because the food is worth it!

Drift away from all the bad news by going to happy hour @eatdrinkatdriftwood .No tariffs here. Just good deals, craft cocktails and great food! Established is 2017, this husband and wife run eatery serves high quality, responsibly sourced food, hand-crafted cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere in Boynton Beach. Driftwood is our usual weekly go to spot for amazing drinks/appetizers for either happy hour or for dinner! We always enjoy our time when we go there. The bartenders (Swig, Drake and Ben) are exceptional in creating beautifully crafted and well made drinks. They are highly knowledgeable and are able to explain each beverage, the ingredients, the brand of liquors and the inspiration for each beverage. The food is consistently incredible and the highest quality; we have never had a disappointing dish. Here are some top favorites: For Drinks: Simple Pleasure, Mad Botanist, Smorgasm, Dude Abides, Dexter in Mexico, Praline Old Fashioned, Drakes Mai Tai, and Hula Breeze. For Food: Appetizers/Sides- House made milk bread, Sweet and Sour Cauliflower, Florida Lobster (If available), Truffle Fries, Cheddar Grits, and the Birria Empanda. Dinner-Beef Burger, Swordfish and Grilled Free Bird Chicken Breast and if you go Sundays, they have a Fried Chicken dinner! Driftwood truly cares about making every guest feel welcomed, providing attentive service, quality food and thoughtfully crafted drinks for their customers. You won't be disappointed!

Driftwood prides itself as a destination for fresh, locally sourced food and drinks. We went with a group of 6 and were pleased with the freshness and creativity of the dishes. The restaurant has a rustic, cozy feel with dark wood and dim lighting. It also offers comfortable outdoor seating, which is surrounded by greenery but is still on a fairly busy street (Federal Hwy) We ordered a variety of drinks from the happy hour menu, including old fashion cocktails and the popular Simple Pleasure, consisting of vodka, lavender and lemon. It was declared a winner by our group! I had the throwback beer of my youth: Pabst Blue Ribbon. After paying the check, I realized that I was charged the regular price for the PBRs rather than the happy hour price, even though we ordered our drinks well before the end of happy hour. We enjoyed several appetizers. One person had the fried chicken oysters, which were tasty although they appeared to be deep fried. One person enjoyed a nice salad made with local veggies and a pleasant citrus vinaigrette dressing. And another person thoroughly enjoyed the dry rubbed chicken wings. I had an empanada, which contained very tender shredded beef and a nice crema on the side. The menu stated that the empanada included mozzarella cheese, which I did not see either in or on it. Our entrees included the red snapper, NY strip steak, grilled chicken breast and the short ribs. Our server, Mara, explained that the short rib portion was fairly small, and we appreciated the forewarning. Indeed, it was a small entree albeit flavorful. In contrast, the strip steak was a nice size portion. All of the meals came with interesting and flavorful sides. For example, the chicken breast was accompanied by black eyed peas and escarole. I had the hamburger, which came with a nice size portion of fries. I was a bit disappointed with the burger as it was overcooked (medium-well rather than medium) and tasted too salty. It came with a tangy mayo-based "special sauce", which helped improve the overall taste. We ordered a couple of desserts, including a surprisingly delicious warm, crunchy cornbread, which comes with blueberries and a scoop of ice cream. Fabulous flavor combo! The other dessert was a creative variation of a s'more with local dark chocolate made into a dense cake topped with toasted marshmallow meringue and a honey streusel. It was served with passion fruit ice cream. Amazing! Overall, we had a nice meal with great service by our server, Mara. The restaurant pricing is a bit upscale. The food, drinks and atmosphere are generally top-notch.

Don't sleep on Boynton Beach - cocktail bar vibe, hiding in plain site in a strip mall... this gem is chef inspired and simply amazing. We tried the wood fired asparagus served on toast with a gooey egg and then the pork belly grilled baby bok choy and both had me in the happy chair dance. Although steak definitely makes sense with a wood fire concept, instead we tried the lamb rack served with a mint sauce combo that has you cleaning the plate and local pompano served curry lite with wild mushroom (delish)! If you are a foodie make your way here. This was a spot where one (or is it just me) considers maybe we order everything to try? And we left the fun for another time. I have my eye on their spiced lamb bolognese and another amazing cocktail. The cocktails are mostly milk fat clarified which adds yet another fun twist to a new fav spot! It's like sitting next to a warming fire. This time we tried the grilled asparagus, the grilled baby bok choy with pork belly and gorgonzola (our favorite), the luncheonette burger with crispy fries, the double cut pork chop with grilled cabbage and pickled mustard seed, and the waygu lamb (I know, a lot of food!). Everything was fantastic but the burger initially came out a bit undercooked (we ordered it medium) so they cooked it a bit more and quickly brought it back. I thought the lamb wagyu was a bit light on the meat, the pork chop was amble and laid out nicely on the plate. We also tried the watermelon tequila drink (very refreshing and not too sweet), an old fashioned, and they have a good list of wines. We love the big cube in cocktails. I don't know how they got them to be so clear. The bar tender was great and the cooks were working very hard. The owner always comes by to say hello and chat. Second Rodeo varies the menu.

Another fantastic meal at Nicholson Muir. This one was a birthday celebration on the coldest night…read morein Boynton Beach in decades, around 32F. The roaring fire added ambience; it doesn't happen often in south Florida but on this "frigid" night the fire was really needed. We started at the bar with a few drinks including the Dr. No, and then moved to our table, we didn't feel rushed at all, it was Saturday night, 8:30 pm and the restaurant was quite full. I always get the wedge salad and I especially like NM's version with avocado and a thick, creamy blue cheese dressing (but not overpowering everything else). Also, their empanadas are renown and we love their chimichurri sauce. I highly recommend them. We also tried the daily pasta which was good. For mains, we really went for it with the 16 oz Ribeye, quite a large serving that we didn't finish and took home with us (see picture). The steak was pretty straight up - just a well-cooked delicious piece of meat. I had heard people rave about the veal chop so I decided to try it and was happy I did; also a rather large piece of meat (bone-in) with melted cheese and a light sauce - probably one of the best veal chops I've had (which we also took home with us). Nicholson Muir does great sides - we got the creamed spinach which was not overly creamy and the truffle fries, thin-style with a nice crunch. For dessert, the bread pudding (with a birthday candle) was very good - the ice cream portion was gone in split seconds. Excellent service with our main server and other servers attending to us making sure everything was great and delicious.
