Island sauté - coconut rice, poke sauce and all the toppings!!

Went with my brother who got and loved the jambalaya, and I got a veg version of the island sauté. Made to order, with all fresh ingredients - mango, pineapple, peas, super yum! Family owned business with friendly service. Fast turn around on our order. Will definitely be back!

Been passing this place on my way to work for two weeks now, and I was intrigued by the different cuisines advertised on the sign. Decided to try, even though there were only two reviews on yelp. Pleasantly surprised, and thrilled that my husband and I could get two incredibly different meals that we both wanted. After just one bite, we sold! The beef stroganoff was creamy and tasty. My jambalaya was almost as good as what we get in New Orleans. Will definitely go again.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

The waiters were very attentive. The menu was limited but has something for everyone. I went with the Chicken Parmiginia. The sauce was flavorful and delicious. The chicken was so tender and the portion size was just right. Not overwhelming at all. My wife had the squid ink pasta in a white wine and garlic sauce with crab meat. She didn't leave a morsel. We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.

The two of us shared a house salad (apportioned in the kitchen) topped with an order of calamari. If you like calamari, try theirs. Nicely fried rings, tentacles and plenty of 'em. (I have to remember to ask them NOT to dress the salad. I don't really like their Italian vinaigrette.) While the photo of my chicken and T's veal look almost the same, they're not. The sauce on his "Caridinale" has more zing than what's on my "Bolognese." Both good, but his a bit better. If you prefer pasta, as we do, ask the server to swap out potatoes, which appear to be their usual side. In addition to the menu there are always specials, some of which are pricier than expected. (Be sure to check!) Dinner was pleasant and unhurried. We appeared to be one of the few without reservations but if you come later, you may want to make them. Metered street parking is free after 6:00 p.m. Like many Italian restaurants in the area, Buona Sera is BYOB, which is always my preference.

Very strange, since they were able to take my credit card for the deposit. But whatever.... we were all very excited to go. We even decided on our meals ahead of time from their menu online, which seemed a little pricey. Well......first......they had a VERY LIMITED OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE menu for Sinatra Night! They charged $48 for Veal Piccata! In fact, nothing on the menu was cheaper than $36 and that was for pasta!!!! And....you might think that the Veal must have been delicious at that price, but it wasn't!!!! It showed up on a plate soaked in bland gloppy sauce, no garnish, no nothing. They gave me a side bowl with string beans boiled potatoes. It was like they had a bunch of side dish bowls made up ahead of time. They gave absolutely no thought to food presentation, what so ever. And then when the bill came. We had to remind the waiter to apply our $25 per person credit! If they needed to cover the cost of the singer, I get that. But why not be upfront about it and charge a cover? Why not offer your regular menu? They only had one seating all evening. So disappointing! I feel really bad about having to leave this review, because I really want them to succeed, but I really resent feeling ripped off for sub par food at a premium price. On a positive note, Rich DeSimone was fantastic! He makes a great Frank Sinatra. We will see him again, but definitely NOT AT GIAMPINOS! DL

Very busy house on a Saturday night and oddly but graciously quieter than many steakhouse environs. Service is good, as should be expected with this type of "pricier" option. If nitpicking, a side dish of Brussels sprouts delivered later than all entrees. Plates for "finished" diners cleared before all diners were through, which is understandable but not practiced in some higher end places. Steaks are truly cooked to requested temperatures, medium, medium rare, perfect and not as common as portrayed. The octopus appetizer is really well done. The halibut special was presented nicely and was delicate and flavorful all at once. Our server apparently makes the cappuccino herself and was quite proud of her skill and was really a nice touch.

We had amazing back to back items for my fiancé's birthday last weekend. From the beginning, I knew it was going to be lovely. The staff placed a birthday sign at our table thanking us for choosing them for our special occasion. It was such a thoughtful touch that I haven't seen anywhere else before. We were also seated at our exact reservation time and didn't wait a minute longer. Our server was also 10/10. I don't remember her name, but she was awesome with providing recommendations and also giving us a full rundown (by memory!) of the specials. I ordered the seasonal sangria - it wasn't my favorite sangria because it wasn't very sweet, but it was good. It had hints of fall flavors which I appreciated. Our choice of appetizer was the roasted cauliflower. It had a smoky flavor and was crunchy and crispy. Completely satisfying and perfect with the dipping sauce on the side. I shared garlic spinach with my fiancé and it was perfect for sharing. We still had some leftover, but it had the right amount of garlic and didn't make you feel like you needed to brush your teeth afterwards. My sesame crusted ahi tuna was phenomenal. Cooked medium. The crispy rice underneath set it off just right. The portion sizes here are generous. I was stuffed after our meal. I didn't snag a picture of the New York cheesecake but it was so decadent and tasty. We prefer cheesecakes on the creamier side (versus dense) and this checked all the boxes. We already mentioned wanting to come back for our anniversary. I'll look for any excuse to dine here!
