Came in here with a group of 8 on Sunday 11-6-22. Had the eggs Benedict as well as a couple of others in our group. The country potatoes were good. The Benedict, not so much. The eggs were cold, the English muffins very tough. Never had to use a knife on this dish before. Two others had the same issue. Hollandaise sauce was kind of blah. To be fair, they were pretty busy. Dreez is a wonderful family restaurant where the food is top notch and the servers are priceless. I was in Elko eleven days and ate there five times (yes, it's that good.) I want to start with the coffee: it's roasted in-house, never bitter and is probably the best cup of black coffee I've ever had. The standard eggs benedict with chile infused hash browns were perfect and if you don't like spice not to worry, they're not that spicy. The MonteCristo sandwich was awesome too, but the sweet potato fries that come with it were the star of the plate. During my short stay I also enjoyed the half and half benny, the Le Waf and the pistachio waffles. Both of the waffles were so good, no syrup was needed! The decor is very nice, clean restaurant with a big space. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating. Fruit cup had a lot of fruit in it. Unfortunately the pistachio waffle wasn't what I was expecting as I was hoping for a normal waffle with actual pistachios in it. They also got my order wrong but then were very gracious about it since they were very busy. Overall from my experience the cooking could use some improvement as the omelet was well cooked but bland. Maybe it wasn't the main cook. If the cooking can improve I'm sure elko could use another breakfast place with friendly service. read more

I had never been to Dreez before and here is what we experienced. Went here to celebrate my girlfriend getting into nursing school and wanted to have a great hot breakfast. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated which wasn't bad at all. Once seated that's when it started going down hill. We waited about 20 minutes before our waitress came to take our drink order. Another 20 minutes just to put in our food order. We got a very basic breakfast, steak and eggs and biscuits and gravy. We waited almost 50 minutes before our food came out and when it came out our order was wrong and my steak and eggs were cold. Another 10 minutes went by and a different waitress brought out my girlfriends food. The only thing that was hot on that plate was the gravy the poured over the biscuits... our food looked like it had been sitting under the warmer for 20 minutes and nothing was hot. The eggs were cold, the potatoes were cold, and our drinks still had no refill. We came in when it looked like the morning rush was done and there was no reason we shouldnt have gotten better service and food. Very disappointing... We are visiting in Elko and came here because of the reviews. It is very cute inside. Friendly staff. My husband had the honey mustard crispy chicken salad. I had the monticristo. He said his salad was really good. My sandwich was meh. They used french toast instead of deep frying it, and used canadian bacon instead of ham. Three and a half stars for sure. read more

Delightful little gem in Elko, NV. The first thing I noticed was the decor. Full of country chic flavor, you instantly feel comfortable. The thought and detail put into Dreez to create a welcoming yet stylish vibe is spot on. Second, the service was fantastic! We were greeted right away by a friendly woman who also happened to be our server. She was amazing! Very nice, super helpful, worked with a sense of urgency and my coffee never went cold. The food was also great! I enjoyed a gluten free waffle and was in heaven! I 100% recommended this local treasure! And do yourself a favor: ask about how Dreez got its name. Never eaten there so can't say anything positive or negative about the food. But if I could zero stars for service , I would. My wife and I decided to try Dreez this morning. We arrive and there were a number of people waiting so I asked the staff if we could just sit at the bar. I was asked for my name and told to sit and wait. So we did. About 10 minutes later a group of 4 came in, walked up to the desk and said they were just going to sit at the bar and the gal behind the desk said ok. I approached and said we had asked for the exact same thing and were told to wait. There is a sign saying they do NOT take reservations so I know this isn't the case. I'm here on a business trip to Elko, NV for a week. There's not many places to choose from in this little town. I lived here when I first got out of college. I met some old friends for lunch and they suggested Dreez. When I arrived at the restaurant it had a clean modern look to it. The server was very attentive and was very prompt. After we sat down, I had a hard time hearing our friends' conversation due to the volume of different conversations around us. I ordered a Cobb salad. When it arrived it looked very appealing. I poured on the salad dressing and took a bite. The dressing was disappointing as it was on the sour side with a Gorgonzola bite to it. I couldn't tell if it was ranch or blue cheese. I didn't enjoy the flavor of the dressing and could not finish my salad. My friends ordered a BLT and a wrap and they both enjoyed it. Maybe I ordered the wrong item. Overall, the service was good and the restaurant had a good ambience. I would go back and try something else. read more

Quite possible the worst eggs Benedict I've ever ordered. The smoked salmon was so salty I could hardly eat it, the English muffins weren't toasted so impossible to cut with a knife, and the eggs were poached hard. In addition, very little sauce to at least help with the issues. Also ordered extra crispy hash browns and they came out as mush. It is the second time I come to this place for breakfast and probably the last. So the food was good and it is not the subject for this review. The waitress told my friend she could not understand what we were saying because we "have a thick accent". Also, she was standing 6 feet away and there was a lot of noise. But I guess our accent was the problem... or maybe the fact that my friend is Mexican and I am French. It is RACIST and the waitress in question is RACIST. I will not go anymore to Dreeze. Ok so this place is good not great but good. It's consistent and they know how to cook. What keeps them from being great is that their menu is weird. Never been to Elko, will probably never come through again, but if I do, I will stop here for lunch. Clean, contemporary and modern. Not what you would expect for Elko, NV. I had the loaded French dip on recommendation from the server. It's way more than a French dip. Think of it as philly except the cheese sauce is on the side, and it's fricking excellent. Service was great even though the patio was slammed. Just remember that they close by 2pm...I would be interested to see what they could do with a dinner menu, but again, I will probably only roll through here once. read more

Well this must be one of the best spots in Elko for breakfast. We just had a custom omelette with the goodies we like and a big ol mess of home fries and I got to tell you it was enough for two. I'm still full from my half and it's sometime later oh boy oh boy. The staff is so helpful or they have a mild salsa that I put on The Omelette that was just nice it was a green salsa and I like green salsa. The potatoes like home fries had a mess of things in them including green peppers red bell peppers onions and chopped bacon and cheese, making me some of the most interesting and tasty home fries I've ever had. I think I could have breakfast with a big ol plate of those. Oh well when I'm in Elko I'm in coming here again and I think you ought to come here to whenever you're in Elko. Stopped here for breakfast while on a road trip from Wyoming to California. I ordered just a basic breakfast, and it was delicious. The basic dishes are always indicative of the restaurant quality, you'd be surprised how easy it is to screw up a basic sunny side up egg or a side of hash browns, not this place though, they got their stuff together. If I am ever driving through again, I am going straight to here, not even going to waste time looking for a different place. read more

So disappointed we were looking forward to eating here. It was busy of course which is a good sign but when we put our names in for a table we were told a 20 minute wait. That's not a big deal and we were happy to wait. Then a party of 20 shows up without prior reservations and more people came in and somehow our names got crossed of the list and they were seating other parties of two a head of us. They knew we were there and didn't even double check to see where we were on the list. So we had to leave. Was pretty disappointed in what Elko had to offer in the way of food, but then we found Dreez. The food actually tasted fresh and had flavor. I had a Belgian waffle, my wife had one of the eggs Benedict. The portions were a good size and matched the price well. I was tempted to get a bloody Mary, but I'll have to wait for next time. Other places in Elko didn't do my stomach many flavors... The reasons for 4 stars and not 5 is 1 - the sausage, while delicious and had a nice snap casing, did have a bit of gristle to it which i didn't enjoy. And also it seemed to take quite a while to both have our order taken and get our food. But i will be back, now that i know where to find a decent breakfast. read more

We stay in Elko often on our way to Montana and Colorado from California. What a delight to find this gem of a restaurant! We couldn't ask for more from this family owned restaurant. We were on our way from California to Yellowstone and our second stop was in Elko. We checked Yelp and based on the reviews decided to have dinner there... bad choice. My husband had the buffalo burger, which came well done....he wasn't asked how he wanted it. He would have preferred medium to medium rare, but too late. Also, there were no condiments on the burger. He asked for mustard and mayonnaise and was waiting for some time, and didn't get them until I went looking for the waitress. She had forgotten and his burger was getting colder and colder. Our granddaughter had a plain burger, again overdone. I ordered the loaded french dip which came with mushrooms, cheese and red peppers. Where I come from the roast beef on a french dip comes warm and juicy and served with a fairly clear au jus sauce. This sandwich was more an extra well done philly cheesesteak...the meat was dark and crunchy from the grill and hard to swallow. I don't know what the dipping sauce was. It was a creamy light brown color and tasted unlike anything else I've ever had or want to have. The best things we had were the house salads and the ice cream with chocolate sauce. Unfortunately, as stated above, service wasn't that good and food was worse. So far this has been the worst and most expensive experience yet. Don't waste your money. read more

A spur of the moment business morning meeting turned out to be an incredible treasure find with Dreez. An eclectic mix of American European Continental just tickled my taste buds. Delicious moist pistachio waffle with fresh sweet strawberries lightly topped with whip cream served with my over easy eggs n crisp quality bacon. Presentation was superb. This place was a pleasant surprise when we were looking for a place other than fast food to eat while on a road trip. From the outside and part of town it's in it doesn't look like anything special but the inside is very nice. The prompt service by the waitstaff was the start of a pleasant lunch time dining experience. The personal touches of a mason jar for my ice tea and the cute little cheque box were nice. Nice restaurant for breakfast. Good size dining room with space between tables. Tastefully decorated and clean. Large serving of French Toast. I had scrambled eggs and pancakes.
