Delightful little gem in Elko, NV. The first thing I noticed was the decor. Full of country chic flavor, you instantly feel comfortable. The thought and detail put into Dreez to create a welcoming yet stylish vibe is spot on. Second, the service was fantastic! We were greeted right away by a friendly woman who also happened to be our server. She was amazing! Very nice, super helpful, worked with a sense of urgency and my coffee never went cold. The food was also great! I enjoyed a gluten free waffle and was in heaven! I 100% recommended this local treasure! And do yourself a favor: ask about how Dreez got its name. Never eaten there so can't say anything positive or negative about the food. But if I could zero stars for service , I would. My wife and I decided to try Dreez this morning. We arrive and there were a number of people waiting so I asked the staff if we could just sit at the bar. I was asked for my name and told to sit and wait. So we did. About 10 minutes later a group of 4 came in, walked up to the desk and said they were just going to sit at the bar and the gal behind the desk said ok. I approached and said we had asked for the exact same thing and were told to wait. There is a sign saying they do NOT take reservations so I know this isn't the case. I'm here on a business trip to Elko, NV for a week. There's not many places to choose from in this little town. I lived here when I first got out of college. I met some old friends for lunch and they suggested Dreez. When I arrived at the restaurant it had a clean modern look to it. The server was very attentive and was very prompt. After we sat down, I had a hard time hearing our friends' conversation due to the volume of different conversations around us. I ordered a Cobb salad. When it arrived it looked very appealing. I poured on the salad dressing and took a bite. The dressing was disappointing as it was on the sour side with a Gorgonzola bite to it. I couldn't tell if it was ranch or blue cheese. I didn't enjoy the flavor of the dressing and could not finish my salad. My friends ordered a BLT and a wrap and they both enjoyed it. Maybe I ordered the wrong item. Overall, the service was good and the restaurant had a good ambience. I would go back and try something else. read more

It is the second time I come to this place for breakfast and probably the last. So the food was good and it is not the subject for this review. The waitress told my friend she could not understand what we were saying because we "have a thick accent". Also, she was standing 6 feet away and there was a lot of noise. Quite possible the worst eggs Benedict I've ever ordered. The smoked salmon was so salty I could hardly eat it, the English muffins weren't toasted so impossible to cut with a knife, and the eggs were poached hard. In addition, very little sauce to at least help with the issues. Also ordered extra crispy hash browns and they came out as mush. Ok so this place is good not great but good. It's consistent and they know how to cook. What keeps them from being great is that their menu is weird. I had the loaded French dip on recommendation from the server. It's way more than a French dip. Think of it as philly except the cheese sauce is on the side, and it's fricking excellent. Service was great even though the patio was slammed. Well this must be one of the best spots in Elko for breakfast. We just had a custom omelette with the goodies we like and a big ol mess of home fries and I got to tell you it was enough for two. I'm still full from my half and it's sometime later oh boy oh boy. The staff is so helpful or they have a mild salsa that I put on The Omelette that was just nice it was a green salsa and I like green salsa. The potatoes like home fries had a mess of things in them including green peppers red bell peppers onions and chopped bacon and cheese, making me some of the most interesting and tasty home fries I've ever had. I think I could have breakfast with a big ol plate of those. Oh well when I'm in Elko I'm in coming here again and I think you ought to come here to whenever you're in Elko. Stopped here for breakfast while on a road trip from Wyoming to California. I ordered just a basic breakfast, and it was delicious. The basic dishes are always indicative of the restaurant quality, you'd be surprised how easy it is to screw up a basic sunny side up egg or a side of hash browns, not this place though, they got their stuff together. If I am ever driving through again, I am going straight to here, not even going to waste time looking for a different place. read more

So disappointed we were looking forward to eating here. It was busy of course which is a good sign but when we put our names in for a table we were told a 20 minute wait. That's not a big deal and we were happy to wait. Then a party of 20 shows up without prior reservations and more people came in and somehow our names got crossed of the list and they were seating other parties of two a head of us. They knew we were there and didn't even double check to see where we were on the list. So we had to leave. Was pretty disappointed in what Elko had to offer in the way of food, but then we found Dreez. The food actually tasted fresh and had flavor. I had a Belgian waffle, my wife had one of the eggs Benedict. The portions were a good size and matched the price well. I was tempted to get a bloody Mary, but I'll have to wait for next time. Other places in Elko didn't do my stomach many flavors... The reasons for 4 stars and not 5 is 1 - the sausage, while delicious and had a nice snap casing, did have a bit of gristle to it which i didn't enjoy. And also it seemed to take quite a while to both have our order taken and get our food. But i will be back, now that i know where to find a decent breakfast. read more

We stay in Elko often on our way to Montana and Colorado from California. What a delight to find this gem of a restaurant! We couldn't ask for more from this family owned restaurant. A spur of the moment business morning meeting turned out to be an incredible treasure find with Dreez. An eclectic mix of American European Continental just tickled my taste buds. Delicious moist pistachio waffle with fresh sweet strawberries lightly topped with whip cream served with my over easy eggs n crisp quality bacon. Presentation was superb. From the outside and part of town it's in it doesn't look like anything special but the inside is very nice. This place is the best in Elko!! They have amazing shrimp omelets snd specialized waffles that are literally to die for!! Not to mention carafes of mimosas you can order for the table. The prompt service by the waitstaff was the start of a pleasant lunch time dining experience. The personal touches of a mason jar for my ice tea and the cute little cheque box were nice. I went their on Sunday 12/22/19 around 10;45 am they were busy so my husband and I placed are order which he order breakfast and I order a steak sandwich with fries and and a side salad. We waited for 35 mins for are food and my steak sandwich was so cover with this sauce and the steak it self was 2 inches thick and rare when I ask for med well. I could not pick up the steak sandwich to eat because it was so soggy with sauce so I tried cutting it with the knife which was tuff to cut so I ask the waitress that waited on us about this steak sandwich she said she didn't know what kind of meat it was or what this sandwich was suppose to look like. I told her it looked like a big thick piece of rare roast beef. and it look bad all she could say was she was sorry. I could not eat this at all. When we paid up at the counter the gentleman ask us how was are food and I explain my meal too him and all he could say that he was sorry. I told him no one should have to pay $18.00 for that kind of sandwich. Did he take it off my bill or give us some type of a discount, NO! read more
