I would not recommend Tru Custom Cabinets…read more The process started off well. The owner came to my home, took measurements, created a 3D rendering, and once we finalized the design, I paid my deposit. Unfortunately, what should have been a straightforward laundry room cabinet installation turned into **more than five return visits, countless phone calls and text messages, and constant follow-up on my part just to get the job completed correctly.** On the first installation, the cabinets arrived in different sizes and depths, even though they were all supposed to match. After that was corrected, the second installation left me with three different shades of white between the cabinets, trim, and crown molding. Later visits uncovered additional issues, including unstable interior shelves that tipped over, an uneven countertop, and multiple cabinet doors that were crooked or improperly aligned. What frustrated me most was that these weren't issues the company identified--they were issues I had to point out. At every visit, the installers seemed ready to leave with the project considered complete until I showed them additional problems. I repeatedly called, texted, and sent photos over the course of weeks just to get someone from management to come inspect the work in person. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, I was told I was "high strung" and that smaller projects sometimes have issues. By the end of this project, I had completely lost confidence that anyone from Tru Custom would identify or correct problems unless I found them first and pushed for them to be addressed. I essentially became the project manager and quality control inspector for work I hired professionals to complete. To date, this project has required more than five visits to my home, and I am still waiting for two cabinet doors to be corrected. Despite the repeated installation mistakes and the inconvenience, Tru Custom Cabinets never offered a discount, refund, credit, or any meaningful gesture of goodwill. One of the installers even commented that they had "never had so many problems on one project." Unfortunately, I was the customer who had to experience every one of those problems. I understand that mistakes can happen on any project. What matters is how a company responds. Based on my experience, Tru Custom Cabinets failed to provide the level of workmanship, communication, and accountability I expected, and I cannot recommend them.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I…read morehad a small project that i wanted to have done locally if at all possible. A kitchen drawer had broken so needed a replacement. Made a few calls and either didn't get a call back or was told that they didn't do small projects. Placed the call, Chris was super professional, gave me a quote and i dropped off the broken drawer that afternoon. The following evening Chris phoned to say that the drawer was ready for pick up! Unbelievable! Now i think I'm going to have them resurface my kitchen. Well done guys! Check out the original vs new...

We started with an 1870something house, with a 1940something kitchen with breaking-down cabinets…read moreand a mish-mash of wood tones, low soffits and a very dated space, plus a pretty unusable bathroom space. We now have a FUNCTIONAL, BEAUTIFUL kitchen AND TWO bathrooms. The design help we got was so creative and enabled us to use some old wood for open shelving to keep some of the antique house vibe, but the white cabinets give the spaces a clean, fresh feel without feeling modern. The drawers open ALL the way, the cabinets don't slam shut, the trim is LOVELY...DO spring for the crown. It makes a WORLD of difference. (They have a ton of colors...I just liked the white.) BTW, this is not my first experience with Premier Cabinets....My daughter's house flooded in Harvey, and she got replacement cabinets from Premier. That was the first. Then they remodeled their 1960s house and got their cabinets again from Premier. That's why I went with them. The cabinet quality is really nice, the drawers are good quality, the trim looks amazing, the color and style choices are myriad... Plus, they're nice people to work with! They were SO patient with me when we ended up with structural issues and had to wait a LONG time for installation. When Victor and his buddy came to install, they were SUCH a pleasure to work with. They pointed out one drawer that had gotten damaged, and had a replacement before I knew it. They set up their cutting space outside, so didn't fill my house with sawdust. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure EVERYTHING was in perfect order! It all ended up SO nice! I'll add pictures once my old-wood shelving is installed.

Years later...my kitchen cabinets are just as amazing as the day they were installed. Love the pull…read moreout drawers! Love the pantry cabinets. Hindsight, pull out drawers in pantry cabinets....but that was my rookie mistake. Funny thing, i found my design drawings from years ago....and i remember changing my layout after looking at the design for a day or two. I am glad i did. The team was great when i made the change (before i ordered my cabinets). Overall, no complaints...

We had water damage in three rooms, including: a whole wall (and cabinetry) of our garage that had been ripped out by a water remediation company (insurance), and about 30 sq. feet of flooring that had been damaged by hurricane Harvey. They patched and restored everything immaculately. Also: we have an older home, and the siding is all plywood. No gutters, a leaky back door...basically it was 0% waterproof. They completely remodeled the back of our house, with two layers of protection (plywood and hardy), sealant, and paint to match. We've even noticed a drop in the temperature of the home. And the fence! The guys installed a pressure-treated cedar-plank fence around the exterior of the house. They even made the rot board decorative by beveling the corners. We can't wait to book the next job with TWHR!

I've had other people come out for the same issues that have been "working on it" for months. I highly recommend TWHR for any job you have at your house. Also, the best part was the service was VERY courteous and the prices were very fair! Payment can be done online through Quickbooks. Thanks again to George and crew for a job well done!
