This was extremely helpful for me as I live out of state and was trying to monitor and manage the work from afar. Jose explained all the work to us in advance and went over all options with us before we started. They provided a detailed estimated that went over all the work that was found after the roof was inspected. After the project was completed they have been very helpful on follow up items and provided me all the paperwork for my warranty as well as managing the permit with the city that was opened. Pedro was very friendly and explained why the roofing material had fallen off and showed me the old and new screws used to attach the metal roofing. I was nervous at first; dealing with someone at the door that I did not know (even though the guy seemed genuine), but I tried them out anyways because their price was the best we could find. I bought siding and windows for what others were selling us only new windows. Nothing spectacular to say about them other than that. They did what they said and everything seems fine 8 years later, now. I guess that's all that needs to be said! FYI, they sent out a letter asking for an online review; so, here's ours. Could I recommend them? So far, I guess that's a less skeptical "yes" than it was at the first, but I bought their special coating on our Hardie; so, I'll know for sure in 2 more years! He is a fine Christian gentleman. His crew is top notch. He has guys that have been with him for over 20 years. He treats them like family. They are a team. This home is our 3rd to remodel. Out of ALL the contractors we have used Mike is #1!!! During this last remodel, we replaced our windows. It was a high price tag for us, but important on our list. We purchased top of the line Simonton windows. The company we used sent third party contractors that did the worst job. And the company owner could have cared less. After that, I was broken and had enough. HOWEVER, we had to replace our siding. It was failing. After reading all the reviews on Nextdoor, we gave Mike a call. After meeting with Mike, we knew he was the only person we needed to call. We explained our situation and experience with our windows. We were very clear that if it needed to be fixed when they got the old siding off we wanted it fixed. Mike and his crew fixed our home. They fixed the rotting base plates and all the rotting wood. All hammers stopped when we found there was no insulation in the walls. We purchased insulation and they put it in the walls. They never left any part of my home exposed to the elements overnight. They cleaned up every day. They even were able to put in an outdoor light in an area that needed to be lit at night. And those beautiful Simonton windows...they fixed those too. Mike also fixed my heart toward contractors. He did exactly what he said he would do, did it to perfection, and always with joy. The beauty of Mike's business is that he only takes on what he and HIS crew can handle and what makes good business sense for all parties. He is so humble and gives the credit to his success to his crew. His price for our siding was very reasonable. They only use Sherwin Williams Duration paint. Why? It is the best. He only deals in one kind of window. They are experts in that window. Mike and his crew make it their business to be the best at what they are doing. I am a perfectionist. We called Jay and he was at our house a day later with all the information we needed. Within a week they were at our house taking off the old roof and installing a new roof. His crew was great! They arrived on time and worked all day until the sun went down. They had a little more to do so they came back the next morning, finished up, and cleaned up our yard, and our neighbors on both sides where some debris went. They used that big magnet to get any nails that had fallen. Jay came by in the morning when they started, came back during the day, sent us photos, from the crew, of the progress they were making on the roof. Called us to tell us there were no issues on the old roof, took photos when they were done. All-in-all a great job and we would recommend Jay and company to anyone looking for a great roofing company. On a side note, Texas Roofing & Siding is a turnkey company. We also needed a couple of trees removed. He has another crew that does that. They came out a few days later, cut down 2 trees, ground the stumps, trimmed a couple of other trees, and cleaned up the yard when they were done. I had a leak coming from my rooftop patio and thought it might be the roofing but they helped me find the problem (broken down siding) and it was a much easier fix than I thought. Honesty seems to be important to them and that's really important to me when finding a contractor. Thanks guys, looking forward to working with you again.
