The inside is cute, pleasant colors. I loved the middle table which is used for singles or mixture of clients. The food was not bad , it was only ok. My husband and I share their corn beef hash. We asked for the hash to be crispy and it came out just regular. The biscuit was soft and has a good taste. The orange juice was good not fresh but still good. Came to dream cafe with a group of 7 for a birthday brunch- everyone gave 5 stars. The look of the restaurant resembles snooze, and the food is top notch. Prices of food and drinks are fair (especially the mimosas). The service was well above average and that is saying a lot about the service industry in this time and age of limited staffing. After a weekend of camping, we were excited to eat a delicious breakfast. We stopped at Dream Cafe on a whim and we were so glad we did! First off, we were excited to see that sit down seating was available. The inside seating was limited (due to COVID) and face masks were required inside. Sonfe it was a gorgeous day, we opted to sit on the patio which was very pleasant. All of the staff wore masks and there were lots of bottles of Purell around. Also, all condiments and S/P were single serve. The menu had lots of mouth watering options, I decided on the Breakfast Pot Pie which sounded super intriguing and different. It was just as good as I hoped for! Buttery flaky crust filled with gravy, veggies and sausage topped with 2 eggs. We also got the Cinnamon Roll and wowza.... it was no joke. The thing was huge and absolutely delicious! My boyfriend got a hash and really enjoyed it. The food presentation was great as well. Apparently, this is one of the local favorite stops for breakfast! We received a recommendation from several people in addition to online reviews. It's a very elevated diner look which was super cute and the staff was very nice and friendly. You do have to park in the street so you have to find a metered spot and plug the meter when you go to eat here so be prepared. My husband and I each had something different but we found the food to be a little middle of the road. Their dream potatoes were no dream in my book. I thought they were a little bit hard and full of pepper... I couldn't eat them. The eggs Benedict was mediocre and my English muffin was burnt around the edges. My husband's biscuits and gravy was also mediocre... eggs not the way they ordered. I've eaten here a few times now, and I have to say that the potatoes and cinnamon roll French toast are consistently on point! The French toast is so thick and, with that luscious cinnamon butter, can't be ignored. The potatoes have just a little kick in them, which is a perfect contrast to all the sweetness. This place was recommended to us by a family member who used to live in GJ. It's definitely one of the trendier places in downtown and it gets packed due to its popularity. The service was good and the food was good but nothing amazing unfortunately. I feel that it gets so packed that's the food quality suffers. They do have a pretty diverse menu for drinks and food which is refreshing. This is, by far the best breakfast restaurant in town. Not only is it clean, and aesthetically pleasing, everything is fresh and made from scratch. No powdered gravy here. But if you want to know the best two things on the menu, and how to order in this restaurant, I have a couple suggestions. Number one, always order a cinnamon roll for the table even if you're by yourself! It is exquisite, absolutely heaven on earth. The glaze itself is delicious, but it's sitting in a pool of what is almost like caramel, with a beautiful dollop of real butter sitting on top. Do this when you order your drinks! If you are a lover of Benedicts, and a little spice you have to try their Steak Jalapeño Benedict. They start by spreading a Chipotle cream cheese on the English muffin, and then add delectable, juicy chunks of steak and grilled jalapeño, amen! Their hollandaise is always on point, and also not from a bag. They also understand the importance of the perfectly poached egg. If the yolk isn't running, is it even worth it? If you're into mimosas, they've got them for five bucks in varying flavors, but the peach was always my favorite! Get there early, or you will be waiting, but it is well worth the wait, and you can take a stroll up and down Main Street to kill time. read more

This was a wonderful little cafe to come to for breakfast when in GJ. Being from out of town I was ecstatic that when I called at 8 am they were actually open on a weekend and allowing dine in seating. This was in beginning of may so they were way ahead of the curve from most other places so I was very appreciative of that. You also didn't have to wear any headache immune reducing mask while you were seated just till you arrived at your table or using the restroom. The atmosphere here was very friendly and there were quite a few groups of people enjoying company and the tables and booths are nicely spread out so it was not noisy even though it was pretty busy. The menu here is like an upscale diner type food which consisted of many egg dishes like scrambles, hashes, Huevos Rancheros, omelets and a bunch of benedicts. I liked that they didn't have everything under the sun with 100's of choices, and the plate sizes were not so large that it would put you in a food coma afterwards. For my preferences there was only two options on the menu that were vegan. Unfortunately they had so subbing out of tofu for any of the egg dishes so that made the choices limited. I passed on the oatmeal choice and went with their Tofu Scramble. This had a scramble of tofu, mushrooms, onions, bell pepper asparagus and mixed in with fresh herbs. The dish came with an interesting roasted potatoes patty and I got it with wheat toast. Dish came out quickly and it was really good. All of the veggies especially the asparagus was super fresh tasting and yummy. The potato cake thingy was one of the best tasting potato sides I've had in a while. Super dense and went so good with the veggie scramble. The tofu was very fresh but it was definitely not what I would call a scramble as it came in cubes instead of what the typical yellow colored scrambled egg dish looks like. It was still really tasty and it was a totally satisfying breakfast that was the perfect amount of food not over the top. I also liked that they gave me little sachets of hot sauce to put on my scramble and potato side. One last thing to remember is they do put butter on your toast unless you tell them not to but when I pointed it out they gave took it away and gave me a whole new batch so it was not a big deal. Super impressed with this cozy spot downtown. Loved the service loved that I could do sit down, and the food was super good. My only slight ding is I think they could come up with a tofu egg sub so there was more choices on the menu. But other than that this place is great. read more

Carryout was easy and quick! The store is located on the really cute walking street in Grand Junction, would be nice to stroll up/down while waiting for your food. Ordered the blueberry muffin pancakes w/ cream cheese and the Huevos Rancheros w/ green chiles, both to split. Great combo of sweet and savory, would recommend this approach at Dream Cafe since there were so many delicious items on the menu I wanted to try! Wish the Huevos Rancheros were a little spicier, but that's just me personally. Brought the food to Colorado National Monument and ate at the Devil's Kitchen picnic area. Pretty solid brunch spot in downtown GJ. I came with my dad and we both ordered the dreams bennie. The potatoes were good. The bennies were not terrible but they were drenched in hollandaise-- about 3x what I am used to at other places. The cinnamon rolls are huge and absolutely live up to the hype... they taste incredible. Food comes out pretty quickly so you can be in and out of there in a reasonable amount of time.
