Rib eye kew

Really mixed bag! As soon as you walk in you're hit with some beautiful, old school Chinese restaurant decor and I was all about it! Service was stellar! Then the food. The hot and sour soup was some of the best I've ever had and I'll be craving it! This is exactly what I want when I'm hit with the next plague! Delish! The crab puffs are perfection. The spring roll instead of egg roll wrapper is a game changer! All the yes! Chive and shrimp dumplings were absolute heaven! Rivals what you'd get in Chinatown. Could eat them all day! Then we ordered 2 lunch specials. The chicken wasn't anything special. The rib eye dish was a total disappointment. Zero char. As if it had been velveted to death. The texture was way off. Appreciated that the veggies were crisp but the meat was just not vibing. I would definitely come back for soup and to try more dim sum because that's where they shined.

Had another wonderful experience at Dragon Palace. We took a dear friend to visit Charleston yesterday. We went for a late lunch to the DP. Every bite was delicious. We ordered pot stickers, sui mai, five spice duck, ho fun, generals chicken and house won ton soup. Not many photos because we took much of it for home. The waitress was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make us happy. The ambiance is exceptional for a place in a strip mall.

Very good classic Chinese. Egg rolls, pork dumplings. Lo mein, fried rice. Mongolian chicken was excellent. They recently forgot an item in our takeout order and I didn't realize until we got home -- and they came out to deliver that item to us within a half hour!! Highly recommend.

An authentic Chinese cuisine spot, this place serves delicious dim sum every day except Sundays, when they're closed from 11am-3pm. We stopped by for dim sum and enjoyed a wide variety of dishes. Everything was excellent, from the shu mai to the crystal shui gao. As a special treat, my husband tried fried ice cream for the first time to cap off our meal! We're excited to come back and try more of their menu. It looks like they have a great selection of family-style, authentic Chinese dishes, including some steamed fish. We'll definitely be back soon!

Well, it's not quite just served. I think it's smelled so good and we were so hungry. We couldn't wait.!

Today my reviews for Dragon Palace on Daniel Island. I think I've been here once before many years ago and I cannot believe it's taken me this long to go back. The food and the service in the ambience were wonderful and I always like when the chef comes out of the kitchen to bring your food to ensure that it is hot and it's fresh and it's tasty as it can be. I look forward to returning and enjoying the dim sum brunch we had this Saturday, but I also want to try many of the other Chinese dishes as everything we did try was delicious:-)

The main dishes are fantastic! It's a good family style chinese restaurant which is rare in charleston. The dim sum tasted a bit off but the normal dishes are great. The best part are the servers they are very attentive and sweet. The decorations and ambiance is nice with great seating. It wasn't packed but there is a large parking lot for parking. The only negative besides the dimsum tasting off is that they will clean the tables with a spray and the mist will flow onto your table. Would suggest using a pre moistened towel to clean the tables instead.

Located in a stripmall in the Publix parking lot on DI, you're unprepared for the beauty contained within. From the moment you open the doors everything transforms and you're swept away to China... From the dark mahogany woods, imperial family table with a built in lazy Susan, the stained glass style lighting and paintings on the ceiling and the wall coverings, chair pads and beyond... You can't beat the $13 lunch special. Potion size, taste, quality... You name it. It's spot on! And you can add a cup of soup with a spring roll for 2 bucks! What a deal! They don't let your water cup or cocktails run dry. Constant service and attentiveness is what you get here.

From the outside it looks like a strictly takeout place. Their sign is on par with the sign for subway next door. They did have to go orders ready at the front door but the whole place is sit down. Very ornate woodwork, wood tables and chairs with nice red silk seat covers. A lot of work went into maintaining the old Chinese restaurant look but it was dated. Reminded me of the restaurant in A Christmas Story. Very nice staff. Was sat quickly and food was out very quick. Child friendly, high chairs available. There is a kids menu (not on the website). I had crispy tofu with mushroom over spinach. Very salty but I like salt. The tofu was like lightly breaded to make it crispy, not dried and fried. Cute place, I would go back again on a family night out but I would not go for a date night.

Delicious Chinese food on Daniel Island. We got there early to avoid the crowd. Good thing because it got busy. It's been quite awhile since I've been here and it did not disappoint. Very nice Chinese Decorations. Our servers were Leon and Anna. She kept our water glasses full since it felt like summer and checked on us often. For adult beverages we had the Mango Mojito which was very refreshing and the Lemon Ginger Martini-both YUMZ. The Dragon Palce Sampler was a delicious assortment of appetizers consisting of Crispy Ginger Shrimp, Egg Rolls, Crab Rangoon, Spring Rolls and Honey Glazed Pork. Loved the Egg Drop Soup which was some of the best ever. We shared the Grand Marnier Shrimp and Sweet n Tangy Pork loin. The Egg Fried Rice hit the spot along with the Bok Choy. Needless to say tomorrow's lunch will be delicious with the abundance of leftovers. Thank you for a very nice lunch. Parking is plentiful. ENJOY!!

Dragon Palace is located in Daniel Island in a strip mall near the Publix. As a result there are no issues with parking. The restaurant is basically non descript from the outside but once you enter it transports you to an Asian oasis. The decor and ambience in here is quite elevated & elegant. The service is quick efficient and staff are super helpful and kind. We had a wonderful experience. The menu is varied and cohesive with dishes from many Asian influences. All of our dishes were delicious hot, not greasy at all and tasty. As far as I am aware it's the only Chinese in the area that is not takeaway based. It's lovely to come sit down in nice surroundings and enjoy some delicious Chinese food. We had a great time and will definitely return.

The staff was helpful and courteous. I had the walnut shrimp. It was flavorful and del. I love the layout of the restaurant very much"authentic" and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Of course my crew was late in true fashion. But the host was nice. Never rushed us or told us we had to wait for everyone to be seated. There is plenty parking and cute inside with many photo opportunities. Finally my crew arrived and we ordered. We had a party of 7 then two additional arrived unexpectedly so 9 in total. There wasn't a DJ or live band. But they did have music on speakers. The hookah doesn't start until 4pm for the day party. We got the cocktails, shots, shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, chicken and waffle, seafood egg rolls, salmon bites and fried cat fush. Everything came out quick and was great! The cocktails were on point as well. Some said their drinks were strong. But we all finished our drinks nonetheless. Everyone loved their food. They didn't have any oxtails available so we couldn't try the oxtails and grits. So if you're looking for an intimate brunch experience this is it on Saturday 10am to 3pm. P.S. they have hot water grits no stone grits here!!!!

That shouldn't stop you from placing a togo order though because I saw five people come in for pickups while I was there. We decided to stick around and have our late lunch/early dinner in house. We hadn't eaten all day so we may have over ordered for two, but we enjoyed the leftovers the next day. We started with the tempura vegetables that had a super light fry on them and a good variety of veggies. Then we both had bento boxes which included veggies, rice, dumplings, sushi and a protein. On one we had teriyaki chicken and the other was scallops plus an add on of chicken katsu. I thought the scallops were going to be normal sea scallops, but they were the tiny bay scallops. Still tasty, but worth knowing before ordering. I'm glad I doubled down on protein with the chicken katsu which came on it's own plate with dipping sauce. Now that I know what to expect, I'll definitely be stopping in again for dinner or placing a togo order when I'm near Clements Ferry.

They continue to put out a unique menu using northern clams unlike any other local truck or popup. I recently went on July 3rd for National Fried Clam Day! I couldn't go last year so I was excited to check it out. I know logistically getting whole belly clams is difficult, but I hope they decide to do this more than once a year. Whole belly clams are a Massachusetts specialty. If you were to compare them to anything it's similar to fried oysters, but not exactly. I like them, but my friend loves them more than anything so we made a point to go. They were set up at The Garden by Charles Towne Fermentory, which was fitting because it's like a play on the Boston Garden in my head... haha. Anyway, we got a couple orders of clams that came with slaw, tartar sauce, and a bag of chips. I also went inside to get a beer. We sat out at one of the picnic tables and listed to trivia while devouring our clams. I was hoping we would have some left over so my friend could have another go at them, but they were too good. The owners were super nice and happy to be supporting the northern transplants down here with a back home delicacy. While they don't have the whole belly clams but once a year (as far as I know), their other food is great too and I highly recccomend you check them out.

I am currently under medical care and my diet is limited, so there are very few places I can go where I can truly enjoy my meal. Poke Bros was PERFECT for both my dietary restrictions and my husbands lack of any! I was able to build my own bowl, beginning with a choice of bases: a variety of rices and quinoa. I choose sushi rice, as did my husband. A few of my toppings were $1 extra, but I was ok with that and the person making the bowl for me informed me each time I chose a topping that cost extra. My bowl was a delicious, fresh combination of sushi rice, arugula mix, seaweed salad, mango, avocado, roe, ponzu sauce and a sprinkling of tempura crunchies. My husband's bowl was sushi rice, seaweed salad, marinated tuna, roe, sesame seeds, and soy sauce. I like that the company prepares the ingredients in small batches, because it allowed for maximum freshness, too. The restaurant was very clean, the service was EXCELLENT, answering any questions and offering opinions when I asked, kindly guiding me through the process of ordering my bowl, and the food was fresh and delicious. It's a bit more expensive than fast food, but MUCH better tasting, healthier, and more flavorful and still less expensive than a sit-down service restaurant. I haven't left a restaurant feeling that happy and satisfied in a very long time! Excellent job by the owners, managers and workers at this Poke Bros location. Thank you for an excellent experience!
