Driving by Konnichiwa I thought it was a fast casual spot for hibachi, but it turns out it's a full service restaurant. That shouldn't stop you from placing a togo order though because I saw five people come in for pickups while I was there. We decided to stick around and have our late lunch/early dinner in house. We hadn't eaten all day so we may have over ordered for two, but we enjoyed the leftovers the next day. We started with the tempura vegetables that had a super light fry on them and a good variety of veggies. Then we both had bento boxes which included veggies, rice, dumplings, sushi and a protein. On one we had teriyaki chicken and the other was scallops plus an add on of chicken katsu. I thought the scallops were going to be normal sea scallops, but they were the tiny bay scallops. Still tasty, but worth knowing before ordering. I'm glad I doubled down on protein with the chicken katsu which came on it's own plate with dipping sauce. Now that I know what to expect, I'll definitely be stopping in again for dinner or placing a togo order when I'm near Clements Ferry. read more

The steak in the bento box was cooked perfectly and came with a great variety of sides -- crispy gyoza, fresh veggies, and seasoned egg fried rice. The hibachi chicken bowl was a standout too -- juicy chicken, grilled veggies, and a savory sauce that brought it all together. My favorite aspect was the yum yum sauce coming in a big squeeze bottle! Service was fast and friendly, and the space had a clean, relaxed vibe. Might have to dine in to get your order right but 9 times out of 10 they get my pickup order wrong. Orders 2 chicken and steak bowls without veggies today. Picked up my food and, of course, checked it. Came with veggies. Told the lady I had ordered without and she started getting loud with em telling em I never mentioned it. Yes, twice! They remade my food and it just smelled of fish. Not going to be able to eat this. Price of these two bowls were almost $50!!! Won't be going back. $50 will get me a good meal somewhere else. I love this place. I've been here multiple times for Hibachi and I always love coming to pick up the food. They somehow made an old Hardys building feel cozy, and they give a big greeting every time you walk in. The food is amazing, glad to have this on Clements Ferry. read more
