I ordered carryout after an event last night. I wanted to support somewhere local, so I picked here instead of Taco Bell or Domino's Pizza. I regretted my decision with the first bite as the General Tso's chicken was very mediocre and unsatisfying. I also didn't enjoy the unusual addition of green peppers. He said everything was absolutely delicious. I had sweet and sour chicken, a shrimp eggroll, and shrimp toast. Everything I had was delicious as well. I ordered this food for my mom. I noticed there was only one worker (a woman). Usually there's a whole crew of men that cook, but not when I went. The woman did not use gloves or wash her hands prior to touching the food and kitchen appliances. The woman worked at the register and on the kitchen. She was multitasking. She touched cash and credit/debit cards. Then, she went back into the kitchen to prepare the food. She picked up the noodles with her bare hand and put it in the pan. The proof should be there in the store. It is recorded on their camera. They need to be investigated. I can't believe they're this dirty. I don't remember them being this unsanitary when I bought their food years ago (2010-2015 era). Now, it's really bad. I will not spend money here again. My sister roped me in on some delivery Chinese on Thursday. Perusing the menu I noticed that there seemed to be an amalgam of both traditional Chinese dishes, Thai, and mall Chinese food. Knowing that her and my brother-in-law would order some traditional Chinese dishes I decided it would behoove me to try some of the stranger alternatives like Pad Thai or Bourbon Chicken. I totally went with a small Bourbon Chicken, like I was sampling my dinner off of a toothpick at the Kenwood Towne Centre. My understanding is that the delivery times are very hit-or-miss with this place. It took a little while this time around (closer to 30 minutes). The Bourbon Chicken was good, but perhaps a bit too sweet. I could not coax my nephew's into trying anything other than "Chicken with Red (Sweet and Sour) Sauce. My first time ordering from Dragon City and it went well. I was having a girl's night and we had a few restaurants to choose from that would deliver to my home. We all decided that Chinese food would pair nicely with our bottles of wine. I called in to order food from this location and have it delivered to my home. There were about 4 orders of separate dishes (with specific requests) and a side dish. The person I spoke with on the phone was a bit hard to understand - it could have been the quality of reception on my phone or theirs. Delivery took about an hour (they had estimated about 45 minutes). Food arrived in a box which was great and made it easy to distribute the food. The food was warm, not hot - but I expected this from delivery. It was delicious and the orders were correct. I had ordered the sesame chicken with white rice and I'm pretty picky about this dish as it tastes different at every Chinese restaurant. Theirs is good! After we cleared that up and I got my order. The food was COLD and it made me sick! Absolutely delicious. Ordered delivery & the duck came crispy with a flavor straight out of Chinatown. Wor Sor Duck. Wow. The pan grief dumplings, again crispy as if they cooked them in our kitchen. Stupendous, the best dumplings outside of San Francisco where I lived for over a decade. Better than anything out of South Florida or Southern California. Chicken wings are always burned and the actual meat is crunchy and transparent. Rice is included with many dishes but the rice is usually cold. Stir fried veggie rice has only a few peas in it. it's chinese takeout in all of it's MSG corn starched glory. it's not authentic. some dishes are better than others. but surprisingly, no dishes have really been bad. they have the best lo mein i've had in a long time, solid crab rangoons etc. They also have an extra large menu with some Thai things thrown in. Now here is where they get 5 stars. Online ordering! I have a hard time understanding people on the phone. Add in an accent and it's just a mess. Our order is always accurate. And they never skimp on sauces or fortune cookies. And the ABSOLUTE most important. THEY DELIVER!!!! TO NORTHSIDE!!! Delivery times are usually decent. It always amazes me. Even though these American style Chinese food restaurants are the same; complete with the same pictures on the wall; there can be such a difference in the quality. I've eaten at a lot of Chinese restaurants over the years out of all of those places, Dragon City is at the top of the list. A solid menu, quick service, and -- most importantly -- quality and fresh food. My wife and I have eaten here exclusively for several years without complaint and recommend it to anyone and everyone. Something to be mentioned, it's a small place and the dining area consists of about 3-4 tables that are close together. There's an accent when they are taking the orders, but people their are great and friendly. I recommend the General Tso chicken, Crab Rangoon, and the Hot and Sour soup. read more

I didn't mind it UNTIL I took a big bite and felt 2-4 strands of long brown HAIR in my mouth. I spit it out immediately and called the restaurant. They did not have an answering machine so I let it ring for a full 3 min before just hanging up. I planned to call the following morning, but when I did the person on the phone asked me why I didn't call sooner and was dismissive about me finding hair in their food. They asked me to bring it in to be exchanged, but honestly, I didn't want an exchange. I wanted a refund. I was very disappointed in the food and service.
