I finally got to try downstairs counter and it did not disappoint.
I ordered the Prosciutto Sandwich with all the toppings and it's a packed sandwich in my opinion. It would be nice to have a half size option because I had a food coma for the rest of my work day. The total was $21. So yes, a bit steep but it was filling and delicious!
I appreciated how neatly cut and stacked everything was. It was easy to eat despite being a packed sandwich. I only took photo of a half of my sandwich because I devoured the other. If I were to compare the quality, it was similar to Molinari's in the city.
The lemonade-- wow! It had such a homegrown taste, meaning I pulled lemons directly from the tree and made fresh lemonade. It had a nice tart but maintained the sweetness that I like. I had to be careful in finishing it before I took a bit of my sandwich.
While waiting inside I scanned wine, craft soda, sparkling water, joyride candy (delicious by the way, smaller grab and go food. They had empanada and I saw Starter Boxes so I'm assuming that's the bread they use.
Location and Parking:
It's right behind SL Bart and tucked away next door to the Kaiser Offices (not the hospital but medical offices). And basically in eyes-view of Davis Street. (The crossroads are Alvarado Street and Davis Street). Plenty of parking!
I unfortunately had a dying phone so I wasn't able to take photos but the inside was spacious. There are tables for dining ranging from 2 to about 6 seats.
I'm really excited to return. The young person taking my order was very kind and I look forward to supporting local businesses that have pride in their services!
Update: I returned for day two and tried the veggie quiche and matcha lemonade. Both were delicious. It tastes mostly lemonade until midway where the subtle to stronger flavor of matcha hits and once a little water down, you get both. Such a delight! read more
