The restaurant seems very understaffed, which led to long wait times throughout our experience. We sat at the bar in the middle of the restaurant, but there was no bartender. We noticed another guest across from us who also wasn't being attended to, and the waitress apologized to him as well, mentioning there was no bartender available to cover the bar area. It was such a frustrating experience that we hadn't been back since. On a whim, we decided to try again and unfortunately, while there were some positives, it only reiterated why we hadn't been back. I used the button to let them know we were ready to be seated, and our server was very nice. However, it took quite a while for our food to come out. Like so ling that even my husband mentioned it and he is usually the chill one. We ordered a Western burger, garlic mashed potatoes, kids grilled cheese and a kids' burger meal, and then received the wrong kids' meal. To their credit, they did remake it and bring out the correct kids meal. The kids' grilled cheese bread was perfectly done but paying $10 for what was a Kraft American cheese single was a little funny. At that price point, I'd really love to see actual cheese used. Our burger was good, but the fries were a disappointment. We ordered the shoestring fries, and there just weren't very many for any of the dishes. Honestly, you get more fries at In-N-Out. The garlic mashed potatoes were also not a favorite. They had way too much fennel and pepper, which completely overpowered the potatoes. The consistency was good but almost unedible. Overall, I'm glad we gave the restaurant another chance, and there were definitely some positives, especially our friendly server and the burger. But after five years away, I was hoping for a much better experience but will not be back.

5/5 - Great Steaks, Great Service, Great Value! We had a great experience at Double S Steakhouse! I ordered the Porterhouse Steak (medium well) with mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were delicious and creamy, but I wasn't a fan of the green beans -- they tasted like canned beans and were a bit too watery. I would've preferred them a little drier. My husband got the New York Steak (medium well), and it came out perfectly cooked. He really enjoyed it and said it had great flavor. He ordered fries on the side, which were very good. We also tried the Tato Skins, and they were absolutely delicious -- definitely recommend them! The drinks were served in huge mason jars, which we loved, and my husband's beer was nice and cold. Customer service was excellent. Our waitress was very polite, attentive, and checked on us often. The restaurant itself was very clean and modern, and even the bathroom was well kept, which says a lot. The price was very reasonable -- we paid about $111 for two steaks, an appetizer, and drinks. For a good steakhouse with fresh, local beef, that's a great deal in my opinion. You can really tell the steaks are fresh and not frozen for months. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, and we'll definitely be coming back. I highly recommend Double S Steakhouse to anyone visiting the orchard or passing through the area! read more

What a welcome delight to have a restaurant to go to on Sundays in Willcox. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant decor was approprietly western. We had the Buffalo chicken sandwich, which is Buffalo Wings on toasted bread with a crunch. The sauce was tangy, and the julienne cut carrots and celery provided an excellent texture and crunch. TheTexas Longhorn Buger was a yummy surprise. I expected a patty melt with pinto beans on the side. I recieved a burger cooked to my specification on a slice of Texas toast smothered in local Bonita bean ollos. Took half home. Our sides were waffle cut sweet potato fries. Being too full, we ordered Miguel's mama's homecooked Peach Cobbler. We even received a complimentary Honeydew Melon Boba tea to try! read more
