My Husband works at Ferguson in Chandler and poor Brent drove all the way to Chandler for a water heater but told my Husband to try his restaurant. I am so glad he did the service and the food was top notch. This was the best meal we have ever had in Safford. The appetizer was there within minutes we did fried mushrooms. We seated right away and asked what we would like to drink, her waitress, Carissa, brought our drinks to us in just a few minutes. We asked for a few more minutes to look over the menu, when she returned with rolls, she asked if we were ready to order. My husband ordered the New York strip steak with garlic, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and sautéed zucchini. I ordered the double bone pork chop, garlic mashed potatoes, and sautéed zucchini. Carissa checked on us a couple of times and refilled our drinks. The rolls were good, they would have been a nicer roll if it was fluffier. They were a little dense and thin. Our meals came to us and my pork chop was a little undone for me so they took it back and the cook put it on for a couple more minutes and it was great, perfect. My pork chop was very juicy, tasty, tender, and at least an inch thick. The mashed potatoes were OK and sautéed zucchini needed a little seasoning. Overall, I thought my meal was very good, I even did my little food happy dance sitting in the booth. My husband on the other hand said his meal was just OK. He was not happy with his steak. It didn't have much flavor or seasoning and had a lot of grizzle, fat and chewy places. There was probably half the steak that was not eatable (a bit chewed on) because of those different pieces in the steak. He also said his potatoes and zucchini were OK. Carisa didn't check on us as much after she had brought our meal to us. But that's OK. I know how things can get. We did have a couple of other waitresses that walked by and asked if there was anything we needed. At that point, my husband asked for another Arnold Palmer, that he did say was really good. The restaurant seemed clean as well as the restrooms were as well.So, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Watching the kitchen staff, they all seem to work well together. I also watched the gentleman behind the grill, I was sitting right across from it, when my pork chop was returned, he seemed to graciously remove it from the plate and put it back on the grill as if it wasn't a big deal to him. I feel that was very nice to see, not everybody would take that piece of meat and put it back on the grill so graciously. Thank you for that, sir. Also overall, my meal was very good. The restaurant is decorated in "ranch" style with an open window to the kitchen. We ordered a giant pretzel with two sauces: spinach/artichoke and beer cheese--both delicious, but the beer cheese was absolutely the best I've ever eaten--WOW. My husband ordered the deluxe seafood platter with vegetables for his two sides ($25). I ordered a filet mignon with tallow-fried steak fries and green beans. Those steak fries were crispy and tasty and I'd forgotten how delicious fries could be--especially dipped in leftover beer cheese! The food came out really quickly and Jasmine made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. The reason for four stars? The steak was $49 and I ordered it medium, adding on grilled shrimp with raspberry-chipotle sauce ( and it came butterflied, btw). My steak was medium-well. Jasmine offered to make it right, but it wasn't a BAD steak, just overdone for my preference and $$. As an aside: The bathroom was clean, always a good thing. The mirror had a small sign that I assumed would be about handwashing, but this one warned the servers to quit crying before returning to work. I hope that was meant to be funny?! Both our beans were quite undercooked, and the long stems had been left untrimmed, though they were otherwise edible. My New York steak came mostly untrimmed, and for the price, should've been a higher grade of meat -- it was quite tough. DW had no complaints about her sirloin, and both our potatoes were suitable. The margaritas were flavorful, though on the small side. The dinner rolls were pleasant, and the food portions were generous. Service was cheerful and up to par. In my opinion, the kitchen needs to commit to a bit more quality control to justify the high-end steakhouse prices. read more

Had the New York strip. Thought it was pretty good, maybe a tad undercooked and more fat than I like. Fries were good, but I must have gotten the bottom of the basket. Mine were all small pieces and crumbs, the others at the table all had full sized fries. Zucchini was really good. Also had the 3 grilled shrimp add on, which was really good. Visiting from Scottsdale I found Frontier Steak & Spirit. I was surprised that excellent food and excellent service only had 3.8 stars, but been a former restaurant owner in Old Town Scottsdale I went and search the cause of the low rating..... Two things came to surface, Frontier inherited very poor reviews from the former establishment (Copper Steak house) and obviously has also been the target of competitors reviews that are a problem for honest business. Stopped in for lunch. Stood at the "wait to be seated" sign for approximately 5-6 minutes watching the only waitress attend to only one other customer in the dining room and her cell phone. Finally asked an employee from the bar (nice guy) if I could grab a table. Sat at the table and watched 4 other customers who came in after me get menus, beverages and service. Obviously after positive eye contact with the server she must have been either on another planet or just didn't give a s&it. Walking out I let the guy in the bar know. But I have been at this establishment multiple times since the new ownership and have had unsafe food quality but experience discrimination on my races and sexual orientation. I was told by the owner that I was "never allowed in the establishment again. " unknowingly had altercation with there serving staff calling me the n word multiple times. . Not that different from the Original Steakhouse sometimes when you put seasonings on steak you kill the flavor of the meat but I'm one of them people that believe salt and pepper is the only thing that belong on a ribeye all's I could taste it was what I'm assuming was Rosemary and could not taste the flavor of the meat due to the overpowering of seasoning the baked potato was so dried out that they put a pound of butter on there to loosen it up like the steakhouse before them I will not be going back and giving them $200 to serve that kind of food with lacking service if I had my choice they would receive zero Stars but unfortunately I'm forced to give them a one-star rating even though they don't deserve read more
